Without IM’s contribution last season we could easily be a League 1 club now. Time to draw a line under this chapter.

George Donis. For almost 2 decades he was the benchmark by which all poor signings were measured. Chuff me, we’ve recalibrated that in the last few years. Not so much "recalibrated" as "blown to smithereens then totally rebuilt from scratch". Resulting in George Donis being bumped into Donal McDermott bracket.

With a bit more contribution from multi million pound purchase IM we might have stayed in the PL. And yes, I know there were other leeches, but the exit of this one particularly rankles due to the greedy grabbing selfish manner he has displayed in wanting not only the cake and to eat it but also to not fucking pay for the bastard cake!!

Everyone saying in hindsight we shouldn’t of extended his contract, I’m pretty sure we accepted more than one bid for him. Meaning it was the right thing to do, unfortunately it looks like Isaac us had us over the barrel for one final time

He was playing with a groin injury in that period aswell. He didn't play in 9 of those games from January onwards.

We have had our share of wasters over the years but social media coupled with our last three awful seasons has taken us to a new level regarding slagging players off. I just thought looking at one positive thing he contributed was worth doing.

Controversial ... call for a career-ending (but non-fatal) injury and a curse on his family for 7 generations, then some on here would consider you "balanced"

Mutual consent ? I’d sit him down in the office, tear his contract up under his nose end, throw it in the bin,set fire to it,and then tell him to f..k off out of Huddersfield, then f..k off out of the uk and don’t come back you greedy parasitic twat. And I’d let it be known,if his new club came asking, what the score was. Come on, tell us what you really think? 😂 Hi Maynard, any plans for any free agents now that the parasite has gone?

Mbenza going to sign for Al Wehda (George Donis manager) in Saudi Arabia would be a brilliant way to end the saga. George Donis. For almost 2 decades he was the benchmark by which all poor signings were measured. Kwami Hodouto was a spectacularly bad signing in the same period, and a worse acquisition than Georgios in terms of talent, but no doubt he didn't cost anything like Donis' signing on fees, salary etc...

I'm yet to be convinced that Mbenza was any better a signing than those other players you mention. Apart from getting more goals and assists than all 3 of them combined ? * Sobhi didn't work out, but we got our money back so no real harm done. * Pritchard - like Mbenza - only had half a decent season amongst an otherwise shite spell, but when he was shite, he wasn't as shite as Mbenza. At least he wasn't actively hiding from the ball. * The greyhound chasing a balloon... well, he was cheaper.

Yep. In terms of talent, Chris Hurst was a terrible footballer too, but he gets a bye because he was cheap and it wasn't his fault that: a) He was shit b) Brian Horton either didn't bother to check which brother he was signing or just assumed that he was going to be as good due to shared genetics & surname.

He hid from the ball by staying on the bloody physios table when there was nothing wrong with him.

Dear Isaac Mbenza
I doubt you read this site, but in case you do ...
I was happy when we signed you. Not because I'd heard of you - I hadn't - but because I'd watched a YouTube video & assumed that an U21 international bought for an 8 figure sum might add a bit of stardust to a club like ours. How wrong can a person be?
I am now 43, and I had already been a fan of this club for some time before you were born. In that time I've seen some wonderful players, and some utter fucking dross. I've seen some talented players with a great attitude, some talented players with poor attitudes, some talentless triers, & some who had neither the talent nor the drive to succeed at the level we employed them at. But until you turned up I have never in my life seen such a fucking waster. About 20 years ago there was a Greek winger who had played in the Champions League who joined us. He took the piss and stood as the benchmark against which I judged all poor signings. The summer of 2018 though, we broke the mould when it comes to signing dross. Even the greyhound chasing a balloon that you were often lumped in alongside at least gave the impression - now and again - of actually trying to play football. You, you just fucking hid. I can handle players being fucking shit, as long as they try, but you actively took the piss. A few decent free kicks early last season gave me hope that perhaps you just needed handling a certain way, but no. Once the January window had passed you went back to your old ways. Claiming so much money for doing as little as fucking possible. Despite actually having some talent as a footballer, you showed nothing, save for an appalling attitude & not so much as a hint of shame or professional pride.
Thank you for making literally every other player that's been employed by the club I love look better. You are the worst signing that my club has made since I became a fan, and I've seen Jason Davidson. Get bent.

Fair point about hiding on the physio's table, although having seen his non-contributions since, I might have preferred Mbenza to have done the same if I'm honest. I'd also add that comparing those two is a bit like standing in dog shit with your left foot & cat shit with your right, then arguing over which shoe smells better.

Between Mbenza, Pritchard, Sobhi, Diakhaby & Ince they made 124 premier league appearances for us & mustered a combined 6 goals with 3 assists. They cost nearly £50m. That is unbelievably poor recruitment, every one of them was a complete flop.

Ince tried hard & we made a profit on him. He wasn't a roaring success, but he wasn't a flop either. Doesn't deserve to be lumped in with the gnome-with-a-cyst, the greyhound chasing a balloon or the Hide & Seek champion.

I hope you don't read this site, but in case you do ...
I've not yet bred a son. If and when I do, the name Isaac is not up for consideration.
Thank you for your contribution to Huddersfield Town.

He missed some absolute gobbers aswell.

It was a cathartic post about somebody who I felt had an appalling attitude to our club. Why are you getting your panties in a bunch about a post he's highly unlikely to ever read?

It’s not cos he’s the last one…. I posted earlier that it’s cos after milking us for 3 years providing next to nowt in return…. He then wouldn’t bugger off without there being a ‘golden hello’ for himself and his agent from his new club - instead of a small fee for HT. Greedy selfish mercenary waste of space….. ….. but that’s all ok if your son has a name with a vowel in common with Isaac Mbenza.
