Think he had more to offer, but obviously made it clear he wanted to leave, Not many players that the kids will want to copy now, pretty much a bunch of Cloggers left.
Bacuna will be a smash at rangers, a decent sell on will net us a good fee in future, sure of that. Gerrard seems to get best out of morales someone I see as a similar character, bacuna is actually probably alot easier.
Anyway, we are left with watching ward and Holmes and trying to inspire the kids in the garden to remain town fans and not want to copy grelish or Ronaldo. Kids in huddersfield will be wearing City or Juve shirts soon.... exactly what the cowleys said about Lincoln.

Wonder if any of the fuckwits venting their spleen at him for extending Bacuna’s deal will apologise? Bit harsh. Especially with zero details on the transfer ( undisclosed yet again) Lots of people wetting the bed that we wouldn’t be able to sell Bacuna and he’s gone 7 weeks into the 52 week contract extension. Those same people would’ve given him away for free. Sounds like we’ve got £1m rising to £3m with a sell-on clause. Might not clear much on that initial fee but there’s the potential for more (could be a lot more) so that’s a win for PH and he deserves credit.

Good luck to him, for his sake I hope he fulfils his potential.
Best two memories of him were the stint at rb v wolves in jans only win. And secondly one of my favourite moments in the last couple of years his winner v Stoke away

Obvs I don’t know what goes on inside the club and fingers crossed PH really has made a great call

Definitely happening then. I know that I'm in the minority here, but I think that we've just passed up a good footballer, one of the most talented that we've ever had. I know that he rubbed people up the wrong way, but on his day - and I'll admit it should have been more often - the opposition found him unplayable. Good luck to the lad; he'll prosper against the generally lower league players that he'll come up against at Ibrox and elsewhere. You're not completely on your own. I'm a bit gutted he's gone, but I'm a bit glass-half-full / stupidly myopic, and tend to remember the really good bits - and the really good bits were, well, really good. But....he was bobbins, lackadaisical, inconsistent, easily-distracted, over-confident and disinterested for too many games. I'd completely forgotten about that own-goal against Stoke, for example. He obviously didn't want to be here, the club realised that and held out for a deal - time will tell whether it was a good deal - by renewing his contract. I don't wish him luck personally because of his attitude, and I don't wish him luck at those beggars ( I hate Rangers almost as much as Porroh!), but I hope he does well if we have a decent sell-on fee. It'll be really interesting seeing him playing in a team that dominate most games*, though. *Except in Europe - heh. Why do you hate Porroh?

I hope the lad does smash it because he has an awful lot of talent &, if he applies himself, he may well be sold on for loads more &, hopefully, we'll have a sell on clause. If he does smash it mind, we'll still have been right to let him go cos he has had plenty of chances to smash it for us but sometimes you need a bit of a kick to see what you might be mucking up. Absolutely. We’ve seen glimpses of a great player. Unfortunately not on enough occasions. Sometimes a move is what’s needed. But having had 4 managers?? here not one of them could really get him going like we know he can. I hope it goes well and that we have a decent sell on clause. But I suspect he’ll be just the same as he has been for us and end up wasting his undoubted talents happy to be driving around in a flash car. 4 managers is pushing it, he was a work in progress under Kaiser Dave since then we've had 2 youth team coaches and a non league manager

Heh. I don't hate Porroh, obviously - anyone who dislikes the blue side of Glasgae as much as me, is alright by me. (I dislike Celtic equally, for balance)

The fact remains we signed him for 3m(?), have probably sold him for less and he’s turned up and played more often than not when he’s fancied it. A few flashes of brilliance here and there with some moments of madness mixed in. Yes we got a fee for him in the end as we signed him up for another 12 months, better than a kick in the teeth given our current financial situation no doubt but I definitely won’t miss his often sulky chops strolling around the pitch and won’t remember him more than some Billy big boots with a very high opinion of himself. Cheers Juninho, another who won’t be missed and easily forgotten. Just need to see his departure is not balanced up by us not being able to get rid of Mbenza. Allegedly 2m plus add ons. But if we are stuck with mbenza he’ll eat all that up. Fingers crossed for another departure v soon Hopefully he'll fook off soon now he has no one to talk to.

Based on his contribution to date, glad he’s gone. We can’t afford inconsistent-attitude luxury players.
But I fully expect Stevie G to turn him into a world beater and leave us wondering what went wrong.

For me totally mis managed. The lad is still only 24 years old. Yes he’s a bit of a luxury and a bit of a diva but a managers job is to get the best out of every player and I just don’t think he’s had the man management needed or a set position given to him and told “go make it your own.” It always seemed more like “right that’s 10 players picked. What do we need to fill? Right stick Bacuna there then.
I’m not naive enough to not accept he’s had attitude but look at the likes of a younger zaha or Grealish (I’m not directly comparing their quality by the way), both were the stereotypical primadonna early in their careers but both were coached and had the quality highlighted and have come on because of it. Closer to home you get someone like Arfield who again went on to better things after being regarded as most as a waste of a wage. It’s my personal opinion I know but a good manager should be gutted they didn’t or couldn’t get a tune out of someone like Bacuna.

We knew back when that Rangers were interested in Bacuna.

Mixed feelings about Bacuna, i think somewhere in there is a good player and that maybe a good coach might just get a tune out of him. When he came on has a sub, it was always which Bacuna was it he could change a game and did, now what are we left with!! i believe we will be a worse team than last year based on what we have seen so far.

Nothing to do with the fact that top level football is a million times more accessible than it ever was? Personally I would not encourage any child to emulate a player with loads of talent but no ability to apply it.

In reality, the club became a car crash after Wagner left and who knows what he might have achieved if we hadn’t sleepwalked into relegation. Glad he’s gone cos he was more miss than hit but don’t blame him for going and well done to the club for getting something/anything in terms of a transfer fee.

Was obviously not going to play this season, given he wasn't even considered (like Mbenza) - different to how O'Briens probably transfer is going. Gets a salary off the book, from what I'm understanding is a higher earner (from reading this board) and I'd like to think somewhat of a decent sell-on clause.
No doubting the lads ability, but his commitments and consistency needs to be improved. What we saying, he turns up once in every 5 games?
I really do hope that he does well
Didn't Big Phil say something along the lines of if we move players out, then we bring in some bums on seats type of signings? Hopefully we can get a deal sorted for mbenza as well

Mbenza aside, this now leaves Hogg as the only surviving player from the Premier League. Around 40 have left in the last 3-4 yrs - WOW
