Was obviously not going to play this season, given he wasn't even considered (like Mbenza) - different to how O'Briens probably transfer is going. Gets a salary off the book, from what I'm understanding is a higher earner (from reading this board) and I'd like to think somewhat of a decent sell-on clause. No doubting the lads ability, but his commitments and consistency needs to be improved. What we saying, he turns up once in every 5 games? I really do hope that he does well Didn't Big Phil say something along the lines of if we move players out, then we bring in some bums on seats type of signings? Hopefully we can get a deal sorted for mbenza as well Does this guy fit the bill ? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Bum-young - ? At 32 he isnt so young but he is a Bum

Didnβt matty daly make a sub appearance in the prem? Is he on loan? Aaron Rowe started at least one game in the Prem.

Mbenza aside, this now leaves Hogg as the only surviving player from the Premier League. Around 40 have left in the last 3-4 yrs - WOW Didnβt matty daly make a sub appearance in the prem? Yeah I'd forgotten about him and Rowe.

Aaron Rowe started at least one game in the Prem. Yeah he was rubbish. Just like Duhaney. There must be some kind of record we hold for worst ever players to play in the Premier League when you throw Danny Ward in the mix.

What an absolute circus we became as soon as Wagner left. Yeah there were bad signing before then but at least we still looked like a football club. Not even Mick Wadworth would have started Diabenza away at Chelsea or Rowe at West Ham.

Rubbish, that's a reasonable fee given the circumstances. Quite a high percentage of supporters would have let him go for zero at the end of his original contract and that number was growing the closer to the end of August we got.

Anyone who was at that Chelsea game would tell you how good both Mbenza and particularly Diakhaby were. Mbenza was just starting to look good then got subbed off injured, Diakhaby was electric for the first 40 or so minutes then got a knock and faded in the second half. West Ham was the most competitive (to use a Carlos-ism) game we had under Jan, although Rowe was well out of his depth.

I understand that some would, however I was in the percentage of people who actually thought the lad had some talent and should have been used not sold. I believe Rangers will make a tidy profit on him.

Have we any news yet on Mbenza? - have we dropped one extending his contract or is there some behind-the-scenes interest that will see him disappear to one of the lower European league teams in Turkey, Greece or Cyprus etc. in the last few days.
PH brinkmanship!

PH brinkmanship! Rumblings on the Summer Transfer Thread that another bid has been accepted for him; hopefully this time heβs got his passport and negative Covid test ready.

Trabzonspor in for mbenza I worry that heβll reject it and prefer to sit on his fat contract for a year doing sod all Frankly itβs a far better move than his performances over the last three years warrant - heβs living on his reputation from 2017/18

He's turned down a pay rise and a move to Egypt... looks like we will have the backup required on the wings or get him upfront.
When he does move its unlikely to result in much transfer fee for use now, we are hoping to get a decent sell only.

The clubβs relationship with Mbenza is obviously beyond repair and weβre trying to make life as hard as possible for him to force him to take one of these deals.
The new contract extension feels like a very big risk. If we donβt get him out the door canβt see how he ever plays again and we have to pay him off.

So if we don't sell Mbenza by Tuesday night, will he come back into the squad? We're paying his wages and he is a very good player. Anyone know the likely situation?

Iβd be amazed if Mbenza plays for us again even if we donβt get rid of him. Just keep fining him at every opportunity.

Top of assists chart. Pace. Great strike. Give me Thomas any day of the week. At least Sorba wants to play unlike this toerag and his over-inflated ego.

The point being we could gave both, if we don't sell. Mbenza was excellent until playing with injury last season, in my view. Not heard anyone who has met or actually knows the lad criticising his attitude.

From reading what CC said he said even if he dosent get sold he wont be playing as mbenza has made it known to the club he wants to leave and CC wont want him in the squad hes already stated he wants players playing that are here to stay that will be considered only
