I'm inclined to agree with the writer. This is too high a level for him right now & if he needs mens' football for his development he'd be better placed at a lower level getting game time in the first team. Although from what I've seen of him (admittedly not much) and the fact he's scarcely made the bench despite his position being one of our weaker areas, I suspect the suggestion of Hillsborough may also be a bridge too far. Some mid-table League 2 side might be a better bet for him. Salford, Crawley, Rochdale or Manningham might be a better fit, and build from there. Or, training alongside better players at West Ham. Either way, I don't see that this move has benefitted any party so far. Much the same as when we sent Olagunju to Port Vale. It was too high a level for him to have much impact, and he'd have probably been better served playing regularly at (e.g.) Halifax or Solihull. Reminds me of Jordy Hiwula. Looks an exciting prospect on paper but maybe not ready for the men’s game. Praying he just needs a chance in the team, starting tomorrow.

I read comments from someone close to West Ham that basically he looked good in the reserve games but when training with the first team looked out of his depth.

Not physically (and perhaps mentally) strong enough yet. I noticed a couple of times that he was been pushed around off the ball by opps defenders.

It's just one those things where it doesn't work, both clubs thought he'd be able to make the move. It also highlights a problem with the loan system for young players: he's stuck here until January while everyone concerned probably thinks he'd be better off back at West Ham. To be fair hed be nowhere near our first team squad, as others have said possibly a loan to league 2 club better suited right now, hes only just turned 19 la2 weeks ago so time is certainly on his side.

He's not all that close to ours either, but TBF if he went back to West Ham he'd be training with better players. Looks to have a future based on the video footage I've seen, just not ready for men's football at Championship level yet.

Harratt hat trick in the B team today. Mipo nothing.
Harratt now 14 goals in 12 games or something daft. Gotta give him some time off the bench for the 1st team. He's ahead of Mipo.

I talk occassionally to someone who is related to Harratt and for whatever reason Corberan doesn't like him. He's doing everything he can this season to play his way in to the managers plans but still nothing. I think he will be loaned out in January

Given our recent showings after scoring, I don't think he's up to management considering his game management was totally shite against 2 of the worst teams at the moment in the division IMO.

Oh dear, you think that's aggressive? You think I've twisted my knickers? You truly need to consider credibility when reading what some post on here, and before bothering to critique the response of others.

Steve - you are aware that players & managers can fall out quite easily? If you're not - I'll happily provide you with some examples.

I know it sounds awful but an injury to Campbell or Ward may be a blessing in disguise

I know it sounds awful but an injury to Campbell or Ward may be a blessing in disguise If that's the choice, it better be Campbell due to his complete lack of goalscoring threat.

Once he touches the ball he'll be fine! This seems to be the key flaw 🤷♂️🤣

Its not worked out for some reason. Was a shining star for WHU in their junior ranks but this has not carried onto his spell with us. Good luck to the lad though lets all wish him the best.

Doesnt seem to be working out for him with us. Still think he can become a very good player, need to get a better loan deal in. Need to start winning games.

I'd agree. I've said for a while that if he isn't making an impact by Jan 1st then we need to cut the loan short. Either that or West Ham probably will. He's taking up a squad place & has so far contributed nothing (& taken an occasional space on the bench that might have been better given to Kian Harratt), he's getting next to no first team football, so it can't be doing his development any good. None of HTAFC, WHAFC or the player seem to be benefitting from this move.
Good luck to the lad, he seems to have real talent & by all accounts a good attitude, but it seems this was a step too far, too early for him.

he needs to be at a lower level. not ready for the demands of a striker playing like we do, which are very high in terms of work rate and off the ball movement. he has neither yet which is why he's been so anonymous. Should be looking at Balogun from Arsenal on loan who is much better in those departments, they might be keen to send him here looking at how Smith Rowe did. He's in the same kind of situation as Harratt where he's too good for the youth teams and needs a loan.
