Just seen the highlights on Quest, mmmm, looked all a bit too easy for Bournemouth there, granted they're a good team but that 2nd, that's way too easy. The disallowed Ward goal, that must be a cock hair offside that.

If we get anywhere near the playoffs I'll bare my arse on the Townhall steps. Please define what you mean as "...anywhere near the playoffs...". Don't get me wrong on two counts 1) I have no desire to see your arse 2) I don't think we'll make the play offs. However I think (some) people are under-estimating the probability of us making the play-offs. We're strong defensively, are strong on set pieces and on our day have some creative players. I've a bet on us finishing top 6 at 8/1. That implies a probability of just over 11%. I think the probability of it happening is higher than that (TBH by quite a bit - but nowhere near 50%). I wouldn't be surprised at all if we nearly make the play offs.

Judging by the highlights Town laid down quicker than Katie Price on a date. Embarrassing throwing away games at a level we’re supposed to be competing at.

I think too many people are overtly negative when it comes to the team. Apparently criticising another fan is anathema, whereas consistent nonsense negativity toward the team is ok. Make sense? Criticising people is fine. Doing nothing but criticising others in a condescending tone whilst proclaiming he's the fount of all football knowledge wears thin very quickly.

Well that was disappointing to say the least - guess we chalk it off and move on. Similar thing happening in the PL right now as City are about to give Brighton a right shoeing.....and that was 3rd v 4th. Some days it just isnt meant to be. Today was that day for Town. BMuff will win this league by about a dozen points get promoted and then get their arses handed to them each week. Such is the gulf now between the PL and the Championship. Town are in the hunt for a play off spot but need to improve on that sort of display (and the turgid affair that was Weds night). Hey ho - nothing to see - move on ! Someday?? We have re lived today, time and time again. It's not just the teams who are playing well that today has happened against, far too often. The games are for Town , a complete non event. Start slowly, remain under pressure whilst being unable to get out for a while. Mistake at the back leads to opening goal, followed by nothing much from town, a goal before half time and a second half where we produce one or two moments followed by another concession, usually a very poor goal defensively and then drift towards the end or even another goal conceded easily. We have done the above against much worse teams than Bournemouth, regularly. Our non existent start to games needs knocking on the head sharpish. More shouting and pointing before we go behind Carlos,?? Or cold water chucked over the lads just before kick off? And despite all that woe, we’ve won more or less half our games this season and are averaging enough for a 70 point season 🤷♂️🤣 It’s difficult to criticise when you look at the poor squad he has to play with, we’re much higher than anyone would reasonably expect…what exactly do we expect when they’ve had half a day on the training pitches since our last game ?

The criticism is simply of games like today's, forest at home, Swansea etc. We never start and the dirge gets worse as the game goes on. This has been happening for sometime now and the worst thing is you know its coming within a few minutes from kick off. There is nothing done to change the game, it merely gets less and less likely we are going to do anything much never mind getting back into it. It's hard to watch and it's crying out for something innovative or just a bit different. I am generally happy with where we are but the non games frustrate, a great deal. We saw real woe a few seasons ago, I've seen it a great many times over 50 odd seasons. There is winning and losing and both give you a clue of how the team will do over 46 games. Losing badly is a marker, losing without landing a glove often is a further marker.

I did not see or listen to the game today, Working on changing my electrics around.
So I am little surprised at the team selection, we were expecting some rotation but not what we got. If we were planning not to turn up and playout a fixture that we had written off, I think that CC would have changed the team a little more than than he did today.
We are slow starters and we do have a tendency not to get back in to a game once we go behind. I hope that was all it was, because following on from the Birmingham game we seem to have hit something of a little slump.
I know we did not expect much out of the game, well I didn't anyway, but I always want to see us giving it a go. Millwall on the same points as us and seeing our recent results will fancy getting something out of the game, so we will have to be back to our best. My worry is that it is not something you can just turn on and off. We have seen that in spades over the last few years.

Good post. As i posted separately I do have sympathy with playing Weds eve and then away at Bournemouth Saturday - I don’t think you could have a worse combination Milwall at home a much bigger test - As you say a positive, aggressive performance is definitely on the must do list! I bet we flew down so I don't think we can put too much stall on the Wednesday Saturday issue. We're an average side no more, no less. People talk about a run of winnable games, Millwall have won 4 of their last 5 and are now level on points with us, Peterborough have won their last 2 and see what happens at Cardiff with a new manager, anyone who thinks we're going to steam to 9 from 9 on those on the back of today's result probably needs to think again. We seemed to put in a brighter second half performance but the defeat still stings, as every Town defeat should sting a Town fan. You bet wrong we travelled by coach fact!

Of course we went down by coach, our Carlos hates flying. Maybe all his arm flapping on the touch line his him practicing, just in case we decide to fly down to games in the future. As for the game we simply are not good enough to compete against the likes of the mighty Bournemouth going by our coach who continues to bore everyone to death with his pathetic tactics, and team selections!

Morning folks- I come in peace from the south coast. I wanted to stop by and pay respects to your fans who clapped through the David Brooks song on 7 mins. Proper class. I sat behind the goals for your disallowed effort and tbf at the time I thought it was onside and couldn't see anything on the telly to change my mind. They say these things even out and we've had some rough refs this year already so... I've never seen a team point so much. What's going on with that? One of the things that we are trying to get our heads round is that good teams like you guys are looking ordinary against us and we can't work out if it's us or them. Oh and on a point of order. The squad didn't cost £200m solanke was 19m and Lermer £25m both hangovers from our premier league years and both players we have had to develop. Plus of course Phil Bill for £15m which looked like a waste of money until parker started playing him in the right position. Our big buys this summer were Christie for £2.5m and Lowe £1.8m. Cahill and Nyland were free, Anthony, Zemura, Travers and Kilkenny came through the system this year. We had to sell our best player last season (Dajuma) and give the best goalie in the championship away for nothing to get him off the wage bill. Oh and our owner isn't a billionaire as far as we can tell. I'm not sure the figures in here are massively accurate but they could perhaps all be wrong by the same factor! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_owners_of_English_football_clubs#EFL_ChampionshipI don't think you're out of it this year by a long chalk. We're certainly not counting any chickens yet. It's so tight at the top that a couple of good loans could mean we both end up playing each other in the money league next year. Away best of luck. Looking forward to some decent beer when we visit your place.

I was hoping we could get something out of the game yesterday as we have looked quite solid in defence. It was not to be unfortunately, and it seems as though we lost quite tamely. We failed to score again which continues to be a little concerning . Its probably wise to move onto the Milwall game and forget about yesterday, though I think we will be in for a tough game on Saturday.

Ah, plucky little Bournemouth. Still working wonders to beat the odds.
Did you forget to include Kellys fee? Or Mephams? Cahill was so “free” I bet he’s actually paying you just to play.

Looking forward to some decent beer when we visit your place. Thanks for coming on, always good to have sensible opposition fan’s opinions. I was interested in your remarks about Parker playing Billing in his correct position. I thought Parker struggled at Fulham but he seems to have found his feet with you guys. Exaggeration is par for the course on here, although you are better funded than us. What we really need, ironically, is a Phil Billing. Someone who can make things happen. He looks to have hit his best form now. We have upgraded our squad, mostly defence, on free transfers and although they have made a big difference to last season we still lack a way to unlock good or defensively solid teams. We are hoping some of our young B team players come good, possibly next season. We are a work in progress and you guys are definitely a few steps in front of us. Good luck for the rest of the season.

That's off what people know however. His company is worth £100m as stated on wikipedia. He is however still a mystery as it says on many articles.
