On reflection too many players gave up the ghost, but B'mouth are better man for man, but Carlo's defensive mindset over the last few games is becoming painful. No one gave up the ghost in the game I was watching. Showed commendable fighting spirit on the contrary.

He does get stick and I've give it, but Ward looking on does a really good job. I'd love to see him with another up top. He runs his arse off and should be commended

I didn't see the game yesterday so it's difficult to comment with due context but isn't it simply that the result showed that we are some way from being a consistent top half team ? Not in the slightest IMO. there's 3 teams this season that seem to be head and shoulders above the pack.. Bornmuff, Fulham and WBA. There'll be plenty of 'consistent top half teams' beaten very comfortably against any one of those 3. Unlike other play off contenders, the only times we've been comfortably beaten this season so far has been against two of those three teams. Think thats something in our favour. Against the rest ( how the top half positions will be achieved ) then we've looked very much a top half contender IMO. Id say there's maybe 15 clubs with a realistic shot at finishing 4th - 6th and Town are not only definitely one of them, but have a better chance than many of them. I predicted we would finish in 16th/17th position in the table this looks at the moment to be off the mark , It does look as though we will finish in a top half position, but I do not think we are good enough for a play off spot although we have recently found ourselves in that position. We do have the January window to come, and who knows what new players may be recruited, this could obviously change our finishing position. I am not knocking the club, and am happy with things as they are at the moment. I am just trying to be realistic as to where I think we stand at the moment.

Rhodes my arse - if he scores 5 goals all season it will be a miracle......another waste of a wage by a journeyman getting his final payday.....we need to get rid of these leaches and look to lower leagues for someone bursting for the chance.(as we did with Thomas) Nothing to lose if we do that - we aint scoring anyway......and a young lad on a third of the wage might go in our favour. Campbell and Rhodes have had their day - give someone else a chance I've never said he was the answer long term and was as dubious as anyone on here when we signed him if you can be arsed to look. He won't change a result like Bournemouth but might have made a better job of the finishing with the chances presented in the Birmingham match for instance that could have got 2 extra points. We obviously need better than Rhodes, Campbell and Ward in the future.Arsed to look - no shit sherlock - Rhodes is wank now - AND HAS BEEN FOR ABOUT THREE YEARS.....why in gods name we signed him on such a long term contract ranks as another stupid mistake ala Kongolo/Diakhaby level or stupidity. Get him loaned out to Exeter in January ie a long way away and scout something from the lower leagues and see where it leads. A one legged cripple would be be a better than what we put out up front at the moment....
