Disappointed that we lost, but glad Nicholls had a good game and wasn't at fault for either goal. If we need anybody to be brimming with confidence on the run-in, it's him. I honestly don't remember any goalkeeper being so consistently good over a season, for Town, or anyone else for that matter.

It didn't work out last night, but Lee Nicholls has kept us in games this season that we otherwise might have lost. If he keeps doing this then one of those games might well turn out to be at Wembley.
Arguably our best ever signing? Absolutely no argument from me because one way or another he will be playing in the Premier League next season.

Absolutely no argument from me because one way or another he will be playing in the Premier League next season. Just looked up the stats and he should win our player of the season by a mile. Our 'shots on target against' stat suggests that without Nicholls we might well have been down there battling relegation again. The only sides with more shots on target against are Barnsley (22nd), Bristol City (18th), Hull (19th), Peterborough (24th) and Reading (21st). A slightly worrying stat to be fair. Can't see him being in the PL next season unless it's with us but with shots on target against like that in the Championship it's terrifying to think what they might be in the PL.

Quality keeper who never lets us down. You can see how much confidence the rest of team have with him behind them. Best signing since Mooy. We will do wel to keep him

Lee will be here next season I feel. His pedigree before this season will mean he won't command the transfer fee his performances have merited so it wouldn't make sense to cash in, and he's clearly clicking with his role in the team, the keeper coaches, and his defenders in front of him. He's got an undisputed number 1 place which I'm not sure an established prem side would offer him.

Interesting that Sky noted that in the last 4 goals we conceded, they noted if Lee had not taken a step initially the wrong way and dived without moving his feet, he could actually have saved them all! This is not saying he hasn't been brilliant in other actions, but if you look at the goals, even the penalty, had he moved his feet one step either way, he would have saved them all. There's always room for improvement if you want excellence. Had he kept clean sheets, surely the clamour for England inclusion would have been deafening.

Will probably be warming a premier league bench next season on a tidy 5 figure salary.

I doubt it. Another season like this and he’d end up being a Prem number one somewhere. He’s just wasted a year on the bench last year.

I said it before & I'll no doubt say it again but he gives the impression of somebody who would be a great coach as well.
Extend his contract. Give him a decade if he wants it.

Have to agree there, not quite a decade though, but feel so confident with him between the posts, his all round game is top notch!!.

Regardless of what happen this season, making sure we have LN tied down to a long term contract is number 1.
I rated Lossl, but I believe this lad is slightly better.
Just has a certain swag about him. Love his shit housery too.

I don't think Nichols has put a foot wrong this season and can't remember a goal where fans were saying, "he should have done better there". The best Town goalkeeper I can remember.

After beating the best team in the league on their own patch, makes you wonder why Carlos decided to change that team, and formation for Millwall ? Don't get me wrong , Carlos has proved himself in this job already but I'd be happier if he stuck to what worked and stopped the occasional tinkering...especially when 3 at the back has failed us before.

I'd like to see Nicholls given the captaincy. Especially when Hogg isn't available. After their second yesterday he was up the pitch given them all wht for and encouragement. Not for the first time neither. He seems a natural leader and good communication. I love O'brien but just want him to do what he does and not have the burden of the captaincy
