Dean appointed Schofield for continuity, not sure it's Dean's fault that DS has decided to do the complete opposite and abandon everything that made us so hard to beat last season. We’ve also sold or not replaced 4/5 of the players that made it work last season and not properly replaced

Talking of subs... genuine question here... do the players wear GPS trackers during a game, and is there someone to log the number of meters they have run? If so, I can see why they subbed Ward and Anjorin. Yes, and also give health readings. Clubs use them to work out who's tired. That's what I thought. Which means that quite often it's the data logged on the tracker which forces substitutions to be made. More risk of injury and greater recovery time if you're tired.

We're deservedly #23 Schofield should have reacted much quicker to our appalling first half and brought on 3 subs immediately from 45 minutes onwards, not waiting until just 15 minutes from the end FFS To be fair to Schofield that was the main thing he actually got right! We looked much better immediately after half time without making any subs. Our fire and chances seemed to die after he made that triple sub.

Burnley was worrying but they were decent and had a plan. Birmingham are not decent. Someone needs to get a grip quickly, experience is required.

Only started taking it seriously after we were 2-0 down. We’re not good enough to decide when we want to play. Need to be sharper next week from the off.

He appointed him because it cost him virtually nothing to promote Schofield. The fucking leech that he is.

Better second half (more like 25mins) but still shite and on evidence we will really struggle this season without further first team recruits which we won’t get. Roll on Tuesday.

The continuity bollocks is just that…it’s cost cutting bollocks, appointing a Yes man to be a puppet to Hoyle and Bromby.
That’s back to back absolute woeful performances.

What position is he playing? Oh here he is the Hoyle arse licker. Give me a ban, right now could not give two shits. But you a the biggest twat and wind up behind a screen. I hope one day I know who you are. Your fingers would not be able to type again.

I tell you what I hate the word "process" . I heard it in my last few years in teaching. The idea that individuals and personality don't matter because you have a process that everybody understands. Utter shite, the leadership and ability of a leader to garner respect is paramount. I think Schofield has been thrown under a bus to preserve the dogma of the process.

Play the young lads Tuesday, make this lot do suicide running drills at Canalside for 90 minutes instead.

Tino looks like he would flourish in a more attacking team, makes the most of what little he is given. Rudoni was a passenger first half but he showed he's a talented player in the second and if he can get him on the ball more we might create things. Hogg stood up for town today and was trying to get the ball ticking and for once he rarely gave the ball away in our half. Edmonds green and turton were consistent Lee's is giving the ball away when pressed a lot more than he did last year. Ruffells isn't an adequate replacement for toffolo Russell is a luxury player but playing him on his own in midfield didn't help him at all Thomas looks a shadow of the player he was last year, I hope it's just a bit of bad form. Ward ran hard but didn't get the opportunity to do much but took his goal well. Nicholls was typical Lee Nicholls, maybe could of done better for the 2nd goal but if it wasn't for him we would of been beat by a couple more. Of course bacuna was gonna try hard and run up and down all game today, why couldn't he do that for us? So frustrating I honestly haven't seen anything yet to justify why Edmonds-Green seems to be so highly thought of. He looks slow and his passing is pretty poor. His defending was ok bar swiping at the ball and missing it a couple of times. Crichlow looks a better prospect from what I've seen of both.

Poor guy schofield - fall guy for a failed attempt at making a football club sustainable. No football team with low support high up in the pyramid could ever be sustainable

So I’m presuming this terrierspirit we’ve been harping on about is talking about some 17 year old flea bitten half dead dog with one eye and an overbite that does nothing but walk into doors, fall asleep and shit itself constantly. That was terrible. Utterly terrible. It looked like we went though about 6 different formations that game. No shape. No plan. No visible tactics. No ideas. Nichols has had a mare as far as his standards but he’s enough credit in the bank. DS is just out of his depth I’m afraid. There are some decent players that have come in. Anjorin, Rudoni, Yuta, we’re all given the thumbs up when we signed them. Russell is a good player. Sorba is an international and will go to the World Cup. These aren’t bad players but the system or systems DS is trying to force them into doesn’t suit. Something is rotten and I know I’ve said this before but this all stems from the original sale to Potless. We got lucky last year that things fell into place after a pretty dismal start for CC. That won’t happen again this season and DH has to take a lot of the blame for that. But DS has to do better. A lot better. A shape, a style and a team needs to found and found quickly otherwise this is going to be a long hard slog

Subs were a disaster tonight. Tino, Rudoni and Ward should have stayed on. Rhodes should have gone up top with Ward and Tino dropped into midfield. REG should have gone off and Hogg dropped back. No idea why Boyle was brought on instead of Nakayama. Only thing I can think about Boyle is his record and threat from scoring from corners. I thought Holmes did well when he came on, burst of energy and put it about. Ward should have stayed on, he's our main goal threat, just scored and we are losing the match but in the ascendancy at that point. Rhodes has to be watched by defences, everyone knows it, should've come on and kept Ward on...it may have led to Ward being given some more space. Anjorin shouldn't be taken off either but someone alluded to Chelsea possibly requesting it, might be something in that.

Please let’s not have a go at Leigh Bromby , he’s not to blame for anything and it was his recruitment last season that got us to 3rd

Second half we did have go.
Positives Rudhoni is a player.
Tino will get better.
Negatives Holmes is dog shit and should never play again. I can't believe that Grant isn't better than him. Reg was awful, not ready. Gave the ball away a lot and looked frantic.
Why did it take them until they were 2-0 down to show some balls ?
Schofield -he is learning and making mistakes. Why does a team that finished 3rd have to appoint a rookie manager ? Why take so long to get Rhodes on ? He scores goals.
Dean Hoyle. He has ripped the heart out of the team. He was that weak they didn't even pay the full release clause. 24hrs later they signed Linguard.
Dean is only in it for him. He bought a football club that he now can't afford. He said Carlos's expectations changed. Well so have ours.

Overall...
It's going to take Rudoni and Anjorin a while to get up to speed, but both did OK second half.
Some very poor touches from Sorba Thomas, but at least he got an assist.
I thought REG and Turton played well.
Russell, sugar or shite... not good when we haven't got the ball.
I honestly don't know what to make of our left back... just had a brain fade and can't remember his name. It may need time for him to get used to the Championship.
Good finish by Ward.

Nothing good to say about the first 45 mins, leave it at that! Second half much better until subs came on, at least we looked interested. Overall Brum are relegation favourites for a reason and tonight just confirmed that, but they still beat us. We will have to play far better teams than Birmingham and without some investment to this current squad I really do fear the worst.

You're bullying me . I won't report it as you did . But I don't like it and I ask you to desist I therefore ask that you desist from jumping on others comments which they have every right to do in order to belittle them. Crawling through old posts to quote comments etc. If you fo that I won't say another dickyboo...deal? That's 5 bullying posts on a match thread. Very strange . At half time I said to someone screaming "fuck off Hoyle " that Hoyle want on the pitch . Those players are more than capable of producing better than that first half shitshow . Hoyle wasn't playing centre back . But if you perceive that as me "jumping on others posts " I suggest you get a life

You can't get rid of the players we have and replace them with players who are not has good, Rudoni looks decent. Another lack of investment will cost us dear this season, i will say it now "this is a relegation side and the coach will not have a penny to spend.

Forest got one point in the first seven games. Town can turn this around, seen glimpses of some good football in this second half and the same in Burnley to suggest so.
That being said what installed change at forest was a new manager and I fear the same is needed here. Early days still but DS feels a bit out of his depth, the team has started slow both games and I’m not convinced he knows his best 11 yet. Not the ideal pre season for sure but we can’t sacrifice the first five games to catch up on preparation.
Town still a couple of bodies short imo, need a couple of athletic brutes who are just going to run all day. Don’t need any technique really, pass it off to the better ballers. I thought Kasumu was this type of player but sadly crocked after one game.
