In fairness to Schofield I'd have gone with the team he picked. The issue is he's now being asked to make squad players last year first team starters due to the chronic lack of re-investment from our transfer fees. You cannot expect Ruffels to replace Toffs, he's so limited going forward and can't defend I'm afraid, you can carry Turton on the right if you have something on the left but we are sh short of anyone driving through the their first line. We haven't replaced O'Brien, Hogg has been becoming more pedestrian as the years go by but he's still got the legs over Russell who has to play as a three or not at all. When you look at it in the cold light of day we are short of a Centre Half (someone mobile), Central Midfielder(someone mobile) and a Striker (someone mobile) as a start. Doesn't matter who good a coach we have we are not going to create chances if we don't have a change of pace, there's only Tino I would class as having any pace in the squad and we simply need more speed. The pace at which we pass the ball is criminal, and our solutions to throws in appear to be to throw it as far backwards as possible. Its a bit of a mess and Danny deserves to be given a chance with 2-3 more signings. Can't see that happening though as financially if you believe Dean we are screwed. Am finding it hard to disagree with any of that, unfortunately.

Why are we screwed financially
Because unlike 99% of football owners dean wants the money back he’s put in. He should never have got involved in with the club, I suggest he’s saying this privately.

The biggest problem for me is the lack of intensity from the start of both matches & absolutely nothing was done about it in either first half.
I'm fed up about hearing about "terrier spirit", they need to change it to "tortoise spirit" if they don't actually start playing with intensity & getting a grip on the game - both games so far we have handed over the initiative to our opponents from the kick off. We aren't stupid Danny, stop the scared to concede attitude & kick off with the intention of imposing ourselves on our opponents from the off.

Hoyle is running the club as he would run a a business thus cutting cloth accoringly Cannot see anybody queueing up to take over so we can only take whats on offer

it’s not a business as wages have got so far out Wack that’s impossible to be self sustaining at this level. In a business season tickets would be 700-800 to recoup the player wages costs. A recent team in league one that attempted self sustaining Scunthorpe are now beginning life today in non league

Except he isn’t cutting cloth accordingly - that’s a big training complex with a lot of staff, we aren’t they being targeted

I’m afraid Hoyle sounds like a gambler who needs to be told when he’s lost. It’s impossible for him to get the money back from the club

What might have happened had Hoyle not been there to pay the wages when Phil went bust
Biggest mistake was the club not securing the services of Corberan in the close season
Think this subject might get brought up at the next Q@A

Not a good game but I think come the end of August we will be looking a lot better.
I saw some promising things, Ruffles and Rudoni were getting into good positions but not finding each other...thatll come with playing together more.
REG while not perfect is getting better and i think he will be a key player for us by October...if he keeps playing.
Really interested to see the team for the Preston game, really want to see Jackson, Camara and Grant get a run out

Think the big question is did we get better in both games so far as the match went on?
In previous bad seasons an early concession led to us just wrapping our hand in and going badly downhill fron there. Birmingham are pretty physical and we got the better of that part of the game as it went on. The second half last night was much better all round. Im pleased we were not bullied and we didnt chuck the towel in. Last season, 2 down became 3 or worse, so there are plus signs if you look for them. Id love Pearson back now, I want Anjorin to be fitter, quicker and I hope the Japanese lad is as useful as the club believe he is. Rudoni has the ability to progress but most of all we dont fall apart if we go behind. Its going to be a different season altogether, have to hope and believe we will get better as we go.

Tactics and motivation look to be the issues, that's all in Schofield's remit. A cop out to try and blame off-pitch issues. agree it is the coaches remit a poor first half not as bad as last weeks but we lack mobility in midfield but no need for panic whatever the seccond half brings Bold Bit: Is this the beginning of Deano and his supporters throwing DS under the bus?

Saying last year 2 down became 3 or worse, it only happened 3 times all season against the top 2 teams in the division in Fulham and Bournemouth. We were far more solid last year, what your saying isn’t a plus sign at all.

That's 5 bullying posts on a match thread. Very strange . At half time I said to someone screaming "fuck off Hoyle " that Hoyle want on the pitch . Those players are more than capable of producing better than that first half shitshow . Hoyle wasn't playing centre back . But if you perceive that as me "jumping on others posts " I suggest you get a life Bullying used to be when you got your dinner money pinched, or a good beating on the way home from school... most nights. Now it's hurty words on a football forum by someone who you don't even know. Get a grip you lot! Was gonna post something similar kenny! If this is bullying I'd hate to think how some people managed to get through school in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Now it's hurty words on a football forum by someone who you don't even know. Get a grip you lot! Juat to put this in context . I've given and taken lots of shit over the years . As long as the rules of the board as agreed by the board are adhered to its all good . I get lots of "personal" on here but can understand the reasons why . But recently our new admins appear to have invented a new offence of "upsetting someone's feelings " . So when I call a certain poster a drama queen and bedwetter it actually gets reported . And unbelievably the admins issue a warning . When said poster then comes baiting and making it personal because I think it's out of order for people to.be writing "fuck off Dean " at half time in a football match then I'd really like to let rip on his overdramatic ass . But we aren't allowed to upset feelings anymore so I simply asked him to desist his personal abuse . So I think you're aiming your scorn in the wrong direction. Cheers

We must change the line up significantly from Friday. And include Diarra/Grant/Jones etc on the bench at least. Zero point picking the same 11 and losing 2-0. May as well play our new signings and leave Ruffels, Koroma etc out altogether. If he does pick the same players again then unfortunately the pressure will be on DS sooner rather than later… j. Jones on the bench? You don’t know much about town do you? Yeah, such a daft idea to put Pat Jones on the bench 😂
