To be fair, maybe Schofield is protecting Grant. To bring him on in such a terrible performance and toxic atmosphere might not have been the ideal debut? That’s just what we did with Lolley. “Oooo, he might have his confidence dented if it doesn’t go well. I tell you what, let’s keep him on the bench and not risk that happening. No harm can come to him sat there apart from a couple of splinters in his arse.”

Not at all. 4 at the back we looked like a better team and went at teams. 5 at the back was the pragmatic, sit back and try and soak up pressure style. Wow. 4-1 down and you think 4 at the back is better……. How about read the post I was responding to rather than making it up.

Better letting him start when we’re not losing 0-4 though.

Let’s be honest, last season was a fluke and only explained by the togetherness of the club and the fantastic dressing room spirit everyone said existed. A coach and horses has been driven through that. We no longer look like a well oiled machine. We’ve lost our engine and our brains. All that remains is a disparate bunch of journeymen and kids. We’re not buying the 5-6 new players we need so someone needs to be found who can make a team out of the debris we call a squad. No fluke at all......but i repeat again dont underestimate the impact obrien had on that team. Without him theres no energy, intensity etc. His replacement wasnt deemed good enough to start v burnley and then done a hammy inside 20 mins. Not been again tonight but if holmes has started up top as mentioned then im dumbfounded! Has all the hallmarks of a long season sadly

Feel for Grant, might not got any time, if he does it’s little of ten minutes. Game was done at half time, should of been brought on then. No minutes. Absolutely shocking management. His brother sounds very frustrated on Twitter! What’s he said ? Can’t find it

Something has to change. I feel desperately sorry for Danny Schofield. Short term perhaps, and not exactly thrilling, but I’d maybe get someone in like Mick McCarthy to come in and take over as the manager but with the proviso he keeps DS on as his assistant. We need experience, and DS needs guidance, protection and time, and absolutely does not deserve to be fired.
Sad times.

Very hard to fix that quickly or try mend it externally.

We need the organisation of a new manager, a central midfielder and arses to be kicked.

You might be right but what a ridiculous mentality if true. Firstly the lad should be chomping at the bit and secondly the game is done, it's the carabao cup ffs and the crowd have already lost all expectation. I'd be saying go out there with zero pressure and give me something to think about for Saturday. Would be much worse to give him his debut in a high pressure Champ match.

Shocking performance. Should have put his strongest side out and tried to get some sort of performance out of them.
DS looks lost. Was a weird appointment and I hope he can somehow turn this round. But it’s looking very worrying

I don't think we do,we want to know why he's not given a chance in a game like this, especially at HT? He's like a new player, you or I don't know hoe good he is or could turn out to be, seems we won't know for a bit now either. If we are bed wetters for wanting a different approach, trying something new after the shit show of the last two games and then tonight, then I piss the bed and float down it like the River Nile.

No sign of Danny for the post-match press conference yet. He’s done it? Probably say something along the lines of "improved 2nd half etc etc" Common theme that saying now it seems. 1 down Burnley at HT, 2 down Saturday at HT, 3 down tonight at HT... Might be 4 Saturday

Deano appointed seiwert on the cheap preparing for a sale and seemingly has done the same with schofield. For there to be no recruitment process despite all interested parties saying it was too soon is bizarre. He should have been made full assistant to someone with pedigree or selected through a proper recruitment drive to learn the trade further.
Danny has been thrown under the bus, Hoyle is the direction of my anger and possibly bromby as well for this idea of bizarre sucession planning.
Hoyle has gone back to a once good relationship that is now toxic and needs to get out for his own good..... bring back Phil, you don't know what you had until it was too late.
