Me too. It would be interesting to see what he said. Surely that's between him and the lass concerned. There's nothing illegal about a 23-year-old messaging a 16-year-old unless the message was abusive. I'd suggest that most of those giving him stick wouldn't know the true meaning of the word paedophile. The kind who would put house windows through cos someone told them a paediatrician lived there. |

Should get himself a decent lawyer and get a court order to have these people identified then sue them senseless.
So many idiots think they can say what they want without consequence on social media.
Mind you a lot of people today have never actually experienced any discipline or been thought any respect for anyone.

He's well paid but who knows how well he's invested what money he has earned up to now. As for the chances of success - I don't know that either. If it's possible though, I do hope he sues them. You said you weren’t aware of a law against it, I called your attention to a couple. A good idea would be for the club to identify the culprits and call them down to the ground for a chat. Like the safety guy Robinson used to do for people smoking in the stands. They could point out that that whilst not illegal, slander is something that could lead to damages in a civil court. But more importantly they could ask why they think it’s a good idea for a town fan to call one of their players a paedo at the match. Generally speaking, highlights the impact of their actions and try to embarrass them. I’d wager the culprits are inadequate teenagers that would shit themselves and it’s probably a good way to correct their behaviour. |

I think shouting Paedo at one of the players may be a Breach of the Peace, or conduct likely to cause a breach of the same. Needs a police officer who hears it to identify and warn those shouting it, they do it again and they get lifted. Whatever happens it allows the club to ID them and ban them??? |

We need Sorba at his best, if he's our biggest problem at the moment I would be pretty relaxed about everything else. hopefully things will come right for him under a new coach, he certainly has the makings to be a top player. |
