I suppose as well as not having a social media account they should stay inside all the time and never venture out In my view it’s the trolls who are wrong not ST for having a social media account Of course in the ideal world where people don’t cynically abuse others then yes. Unfortunately the idiots normally win. SM platforms seem very reluctant to police anything but that’s the way it works. Anyone can set up an account with very little evidence of who they actually are. Several people know who I am on here. But the vast majority have no idea.

He has to accept the trolls will always win in the end as no social media company are interested in stopping them He is a good season away from going from Boreham Wood to a good premier league contract. He was 90 minutes away in May. Has to put his career very much first now.

Some of the abuse he is getting online is disgraceful.
He should report it to be honest as it is criminal. I think the social media fans are just cowards who unfortunately never go away.
A top player who will regain his confidence and form and will be very important if we are to stay in this division.

He's messaging a 16yr old girl trying to get her to meet up 'for fun', what did he expect would happen? Do we believe this? If it’s true, why aren’t they going to the police with these messages? There’s a proper witch hunt against Sorba on Twitter and it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s made up. Because it's not illegal! Stupid and ill-advised but NOT illegal!

Digressing for a moment, you have to wonder what motives Musk is wanting to buy and reform Twitter for. I've often looked at Twitter threads that have been posted on here, but never had the inclination to join, it just looks like a toxic place that would suck so many people in v quickly.
Twitter is an online version of what would have been throwaway comments in the past, a bit of banter with your mates. But because you can now see an entire conversation, even from several years ago, that gets some people hooked in, and fixated on things that would previously have died out, or been intentionally suppressed in a conversation. I'm not suggesting what's happening here is banter of course, but as Sabs says, as a more public face, then your use of these platforms should be considered. Although Thomas is a young bloke, maybe they should have this as part of their training as youth players, or even regular media coaching?
Twitter just seems utterly toxic, Musk strikes me as a modern day Bond villain...

I think the clubs and academies do try and instruct the lads in regards to dealing with the media and being on social media. Sorba actually came to pro football a bit late. Like it or not its become part of their profile building.

He's been shit this season but he's by no means alone in that. Has to be noticed for something other than falling over and arguing his way into the book on our difficult days. Flair player, showing no flair has to then put the work in. We can only just about afford a good free kick or a corner from him on our better days as a team. We cant carry him on the bad days. I want him to be great, run at folk, take the piss, score goals, send in dangerous free kicks, corners, but on difficult days I will take hard work and keeping switched on. Completely agree with this. We all want the lad to do well and be back to his best, but a couple of decent set pieces every game is not enough in a dog fight - especially now Pearson is out and unable to get on the end of them. For me, Thomas needs to be managed correctly. Clearly Carlos, a disciplinarian, knew how to get the best from him and Schofield didn’t. The new coach will play a crucial role in whether Thomas makes the World Cup.

Think he has improved the last couple of games myself. That includes the one where he was replaced at half time, yes. Really? I thought he was a disgrace on Tuesday. All players have off day's but his body language told me he didn't fancy it

All players have off day's but his body language told me he didn't fancy it Maybe he didn’t fancy playing when it was so apparent that many things were wrong on and off the field. It was obvious to most of us. Some players thrive on confidence and I think this probably applies to Thomas. We’ll see in a few hours - if he’s selected.

He hasnt been playing amazing but hes the kind of player we need. He gets assists no matter what.
Ive seen a lot of people say hes been one of our worst players this year but he's still got 3 assists in 9 games. Thats not a bad return.
Ive also seen people slate his attitude. But i see it as hes a passionate guy and that attitude is what gives him an edge over a lot of other players. Personally id rather see a guy like Sorba looking mad and like he cares instead of pure apathy like we have seen in the past.

But waving your arms around at team mates and the ref doesn’t give him an edge. It’s counter productive, just like when he stops running after a tackle he thinks is a foul. Look at Bruno Fernandes during Man U’s shite period; waving his arms at everyone and contributing the square root of fuck all. Look at him now that they are ticking: head down and making things happen. The biggest issue for the lad is that he’s playing the wrong position and I don’t think he has the tools to cope with that yet. Hopefully, he will learn and hopefully, he will get back on the right hand side.

The kid needs to focus on his football, another poor effort on goal today. If he's going to let a few boos or a few idiots on social media affect him, he won't make it at this level.

What got me was when Harsley went to high five him at the end he immediately shook his head with a frown as if Sorba wasn’t interested or miserable.
Might be just me reading too much into it but My initial thought was there’s something not right with him.

To be fair, everyone criticised him when he smiled after his mistake earlier in the season.
He misses a decent chance today and he's shown disappointment at it - not sure we can be overly harsh on that.

I suspect he'll have plenty of time to sit and ponder during the international break. Mind you, if they are daft enough to put him in the squad, they're probably daft enough to play him.

I thought he did well when he came on, he got stuck in and won a few tussles around our box

International break could be exactly what he needs right now.
I've no problem with a player showing unhappiness being on the bench but when you come on you have to be focused and ready.

Ironic he should miss that chance after the way he tore into Ward the other day. Good player but he's terrible in front of goal.

Put a shift in when he came on, helped keep the ball away from our goal.
Okay, corners not great but all in all played his part in the win, all be it a small part.
Let's get off his case now eh.

No need for booo’s when he came in, thought that was shocking From where we were sat it sounded like Cardiff fans booing?. Me and others around me thought the same and were asking what is all that about?, has he played badly for Wales?.

Can see on the video Town uploaded him say something to a coach then walk off and ignore him. Maybe something of nothing but certainly looks off

Did ok when he came on and strangely I think missing that gobba will do him the world of good. He needs to stop believing his own hype and just knuckle down.
