That was Golcar United's first ever victory in the FA Cup, so history was witnessed last night.

I was at Manor Road, we beat St John's Church School (Churchy Boggs we named them) 21-0 at football. Mrs Oakley our managed told us off for scoring too many. We were the team that won at Old Trafford in the final of a tournament. Smithies and James Berrett in the team, Berrett wasn't at Town by that point. I'd have been there similar time to you, I was the year below Smithies. Whilst our year wasn't as talented the St John's mauling continued. Mrs Oakley was great, she's a regular down at the Johns Smiths. James berrett brother tom was my brother's best mate, when James was younger he was rubbish at football

I usually try to get up to Golcar a few times a season & do the odd away game with a couple of mates who follow them. It’s a nice set up there.

That big win V St John's, Alex Smithies scored 1 from kicking out of his hands.

Wembley trip will have to come via FAV cup (QR1 home to New Mills next Sat) after a 1-0 defeat to Thackley tonight, who they visit a week Tuesday in the next league game & hopeful revenge.....Emley at Trafford in FAC tomorrow.

Spotted tonight’s fixture on the BBC fixture list. Good luck Golcar… 🤞 I’m like the kiss of death… I start a match day thread on Town and we generally avoid a victory, then this tonight… They lost 1-0 BTW…

Another 100% record gone but not without a fight, trailing 2-0 away at Albion FC (ground share with Bradford PA) during the interval whatever was said had an immediate impact with 2 goals in 2 mins straight after the restart to level, both teams went looking for the winner but it was the home side right at the death who scored it......Golcar stay 2nd three points behind Penistone but with 2 games in hand, Beverley away next a week tomorrow.

A trip to the oldest football ground in the world tonight for 2nd placed Golcar, Sandygate stadium is the home of Hallam FC (7th) in the Crosspool area of Sheffield (S10), should be a good game.
Brighouse Town had a late postponement on Saturday at Pontefract Colleries because of blocked drains (just outside the ground), one fan tweeted 'there're full of shit', I think he meant the pipes.......Anyway, good old Yorkshire Water eventually turned up at 5pm to unblock them.

Do they need any strikers? Town have got 3 absolute cloggers that they could do with getting rid of.

Biggest crowd of the season expected at Penistone Church today for the visit of Golcar with probably a few floating Town, Massive & Barnsley (away at Cambridge) fans added......Staying in Hudds why not head to Newsome (Pip Hill) who play South L33ds (Nr Beeston) in Yorkshire League (2pm ko), bar open too.
