Still remember that game against Middlesbrough when we battered them but we’re still 1-0 down at half-time, but still got a standing ovation anyway. That up to Chelsea away was a hell of a ride. Changed the entire club from one that was just trying to survive into a competitor. Criminal that after all that we’re back to where we were with basically nothing to show for it

How can you not love him. Remember we played Brighton and Leeds in a week. Two tougher games you couldn't imagine. Won them both. That's when I knew we had something special going on. I remember he was in the crowd for a game before he took over as manager, were we playing Leeds then too? Think so. Excited to fuck to have a truly foreign manager - and a German to boot. We'd have beaten anyone on the planet at penalties that side. Schindler - insisting on taking the winning penalty to repay us for breaking our transfer record to buy him. £1.8m turned out to be an absolute bargain. We should have stuck to signing players around that price mark. Should have paid me and Oti to travel the world scouting players for Town.

I wasn't going to attend today but have decided to purely to show my appreciation to DW. It's nice to get the opportunity as we didn't when he left. Bit sad if true.

Put DS back in the coaching role and pay Wagner a wage. A signings wage. He will sort these right out. They aren’t shit, except some who weren’t in the squad, although Boyle isn’t this standard. Not making him a scapegoat at all but he’s a bit lost poor lad. Wagner would get these playing the right way and set up to defend a 2 goal lead easily. We have some good attacking options and Tino looks fucking unreal

He was in the White Rose after the game for an interview with Rambo- he was great but very careful not to say anything to cause any doubt re DS as you would expect. The one question from the floor he didn’t get- how responsible were you on the signings before the second premiership season ? My own opinion is he should not come back.

Those not wanting DW back must be out of their minds. Just his fitness regime would have us competing more than we are doing at the moment.

Those not wanting DW back must be out of their minds. Just his fitness regime would have us competing more than we are doing at the moment. David Wagner was class and I'll always love him for what he did and the enjoyment he brought in the promotion season and the first PL season. But after that, it was pretty shit until he left us. He hasn't done anything good in his 2 jobs since us either. Perhaps everything was just aligned for us perfectly for those brilliant 18 months. When he came to Town, the style of play and 4-2-3-1 was somewhat revolutionary for the English game - in the second tier particularly. 6 years later, I don't think it would be so effective, as teams work out how to overcome challenges/tactics. One negative element of DW's time at Town is that he was exactly a roaring success at changing the team's style when it became a less effective style (evolving the style was an area I think Corberan>Wagner - last season is evidence of that). The fitness thing was big and I've always agreed with the (Sean Dyche?) idea that the team might be outskilled by the better teams but certainly won't be outworked. But..... Wagner was also backed pretty well. My position on this is basically, I'd hate for him to come in, not be supported with adequate backing and inevitably sour the relationship he has with the fans.

Dear Mr Hoyle
You must have realised that you can't please all of the fans all of the time.....
But for me signing Mr Wagner is a no brainer, even just for his after match celebrations
Football is about passion, belief and passion
What you got to loose ?
In addition to Scholfield
Has anyone got a link to his leaving speach, I'm sure he said our paths will cross again Come on let's give it another go
💙⚽👍

I think the difference for me is the way those clubs are perceived. You could see most of those getting back to the Prem and receiving the whole 'glad to have them back', 'deserve to be here' lines - maybe with the exception of a couple. For us, we got there, started to struggle and simply accepted our place, and tried to make it seem better by pretending that we're a small club and didn't deserve it in the first place. Remember the Moment in Time book? Embarrassing. We started the dismantling of our PL era before we'd even left.

Have to say Wagner showed more passion at half-time than I’ve seen Schofield show all season so far but then the 2 come across completely as chalk and cheese.

No doubt when Wagner came to the club the change was infectious for both players and fans. Yesterday for a brief moment you could feel his charisma when he spoke on the pitch. I would have him back in a shot, but I know it won’t happen.

What must have he thought of that ? Hopefully he is in Dean’s ear. I have no idea what Danny is trying to do ? We have no game plan. We have no identity. The football is Garbage. His interviews make him sound weak. Tino had a go at him yesterday. He needs to go rapidly.

I’m sure he asked him what he thought though. Last year West Brom couldn’t get the ball of us. Yesterday we just kept giving it to them.
