I no longer come up for practically ever home game nor go to that many away games any longer, for a variety of reasons. I’m struggling to recover the old enthusiasm I used to have and, unfortunately, I think the days of making 450 mile round trips on the day are a thing of the past for me. It’s largely of my own choice, three grandkids now under 5, the last one born last Saturday, and I get enjoyment out of watching Sutton United regularly but they can never replace the true love I’ll always have for Huddersfield Town.
I genuinely started to believe last season I was a jinx with Town. I only saw Town 11 times last season and the only win I saw was that god-awful 1-0 win v PNE early on with the calamitous own goal. From a personal point of view I found Town joyless last season and I’m sorry but I never warmed to Corberan. I’ve been amazed at the overall positivity about last season on here because I simply never saw it. My fault because I don’t watch Town on TV, I need to be at the game. Maybe I was simply unlucky last season. Or a proper jinx. Wembley was my fault.
I’m left wondering though. Could David Wagner reignite Dean Hoyle’s love for Town and could he reignite my enthusiasm? I think I’d like it to happen. We saw what this club could do with the right leadership and ambition in 2017. Could lightning strike twice?
Up for Blackpool next week. Can’t wait.

What must have he thought of that ? Hopefully he is in Dean’s ear. I have no idea what Danny is trying to do ? We have no game plan. We have no identity. The football is Garbage. His interviews make him sound weak. Tino had a go at him yesterday. He needs to go rapidly. Everything I was thinking on the way home after the match yesterday. Talking to a friend at the game and he summed it up perfectly for me saying the club just seems to be drifting without any drive or direction, it all feels so flat!

The Bühler pic does add a new layer of intrigue. Particularly given his conspicuously inconspicuous choice of seat in the Kilner Bank.
I'd simply regarded Wagner's appearance as a long overdue visit, having been forced to cancel his planned trip to the Bristol game last year.
I'm less certain now...
Either way, if they wanted to come back to England for their next job, it would need to be within the next four months to still be eligible for a post-Brexit work permit (requirement is 36 months in the last 5 years managing in a "Top League": by my reckoning they are currently sat on 40 months between here, Schalke and Bern).

Wagner Über Alles !
Bring him back Dean. And even make him a shareholder of the club so he’s got a vested long term interest. You know it makes sense.

Can’t see him coming back, but right now it’d win a lot of fans back for Hoyle.
I’m on the fence personally. “You shouldn’t go back to your ex” my old man once said.

No doubt when Wagner came to the club the change was infectious for both players and fans. Yesterday for a brief moment you could feel his charisma when he spoke on the pitch. I would have him back in a shot, but I know it won’t happen. This - I think to be leading a team you need charisma and an aura, I’m sure Dean said that DS didn’t really want to do interviews in his BBC Leeds pre season thing. I know we’re all dreaming and it’s the old first love hormone but god I’d love him back even just to hear his passion pre and post match again

That charisma and aura would definitely go a long way at the moment. Everyone is on the floor after last season and the club really needs someone to breathe new life into it.
Carlos got by without that charisma, but that was largely because he became so tactically astute. Right now it appears we need a frontman to unify everything.

There is nothing in this whatsoever. Christophe was quite innocently visiting someone he was friends with whilst here.

At future games CB attends can he spend 10 minutes stood on half way staring down the opposition when they warm up - miss that, sure the opposition don’t miss it

I just find the timing of this all a little intriguing. It would be Interesting to know when the invite to DW came about. Would he have been invited if CC was still here and we were top 6/10?? I think It would be interesting to know what DS thought seeing the “messiah” back during our current woes if he hasn’t been told one of a) he’s 100% not here to take your job or b) he’s 100% here to take your job.
I for one think think it’s the perfect time for him to return. It would lift us fans off the floor and no doubt give the players, DS and DW some impetus and leeway to get this project back up and running.
I agree with the person that said it could give Dean is lust for the club back as well.
I hope it happens but I just don’t think it will.

Doesn't Buhler still live in the area? I sat in front of him a couple of times last season.

Deano will never appoint DW because he knows he'd have to invest in some players .. DS is the cheap and unsuccessful option
So many bang-average managers in the Championship at the moment .. Mowbray to Sunderland.. awful .. DW would smash it but then I don't think Deano or many Championship chairmen want to be in the Prem when you see the crazy money Forest are spending and what happened to Bournemouth if you dont spend it.

Florists have spent crazy money, let's hope they go down. Ironically Bournemouth losing to Liverpool, was expected, however the huge loss Saturday, will not relegate Bournemouth. Big learning curve for Danny Schofield, would take David & Christoph back, as Danny looks increasingly to be out of his depth - UTT.

Maybe there's a role as Director of Football going? I know Bromby is 'Head of football operations'..but that's not the same , although it would cut across some of his responsibilites I guess which includes Recruitment/loans/Admin.
As for what he saw v WBA, it wasn't too dissimilar to some of his own team performances in the PL tbh..especially that 2nd season before he quit..has DW made any public comment on his visit, I've not seen it ?

If Leigh Bromby isn't in Kos then his twin brother is. With another family with Hudds/Yorkshire accents too
