The whole story was Forest at Wembley and a chance at getting back to the Prem. We were playing the role of stooges. Everything about Wembley this last time was shite. Pub allocation. The time of the kick off. The fact we all had work the next day. Forest fans behaving like proper brats and prats. The ref. VAR. Even worse... I had my wallet lifted... By Town fans. I was quite literally robbed! Had it while in seats, but half way down the stairs coming out it was gone. Never keep a wallet in my back pocket since. Sadly the big games always seem to attract an element of scum and they usually cant deal with losing very well, probably due to limited intellect. Atmosphere wasn't great on the train back to London.

Are we really still going on about this? Yes. It’s still an issue isn’t it? Despite clear evidence that it’s corrupt it still goes on. Look at that Brighton penalty shout at Spurs the other week. What possible reason is there, other than corruption, that the penalty wasn’t given? No other explanation makes any sense because you can see clear contact, you can see it’s an obvious error on the refs part, so why? The injustice of the Premier League will bug me for life, as will that Play-Off final. It was just plain wrong and sport simply shouldn’t be like that. What happened with us is nothing to do with those other cases...banging on about it is akin to Leeds fans singing "We Are Champions, Champions Of Europe", and makes us look stupid. We had our anger at the time and in the immediate aftermath, nothing got changed, nothing will ever change...GET ON WITH IT. Or we could sing a song..."We are Premier League"...?

What you on about, you? How is it anything like singing 'Champions of Europe?' It was a discussion about VAR and how it is corrupt, so how is it not relevant? Anyway, don't act like you don't look out for the Forest results every week, there aren't many Town fans that are just 'GETTING ON WITH IT' are they? We all remember and we all want to see them crash and burn as a result. Hardly stupid, it's just how rivalries and emotions work within football and without it it'd all be pretty boring really.

My commentary is on the path that the Sherriff is talking about. Errors were made by the officiating team on the day. Its football...the referees collective decision is final, even if they make mistakes. We've discussed it, we don't know and will never know if it was corrupt (unlikely) or just mistakes (likely) - NOTHING is going to change, and its just part of history. I definitely don't look out for Forest results every week, and I know in the group of 6 or 7 I watch Town with, we have next to zero chat about Forest etc - there was early season as folk watched a few of their games out of intrigue of seeing how Toffolo and OBrien might perform, but soon lost interest in that with all of the 'entertainment' closer to home that we were going through with Schofield, Fotheringham and the state of what we were watching.

Thats presuming Tierney didnt suggest to Moss that he take a look at it. he might have done and Moss just turn him down. Wouldn't put that past Moss. Chances are though Tierney just decided it wasnt a clear and obvious mistake, despite what the pictures were clearly showing. Wouldn't put that past Tierney. Just a blatant, potentially corrupt, level of incompetence from one or both of them. I thought the verdict on the O'Brien one was that he'd lost control of the ball..ie it was too far away from him.. If that was a genuine reason then it basically means you can hack anyone down in the box provided the ball is more than 3 yards away..? Tiernay was probably topping up his G&T while this was happening, staggered back to the screen and just copped out because he was pissed..
How did we manage to get a penalty v PNE when the ball was on the halfway line? In the 95th minute? PNE player threw Kachunga to the ground nowhere near the play.

I'm sure I've seen MANY instances when the ball has long gone (whether by pass or mis-control) but the player has then been taken out. It's still pulled back for a free kick (advantage not withstanding) to the fouled player.

Having lived here for 20+ years, I shouldn't really be THAT surprised at what a set of ****s some Forest fans are..... ....but just how f*****g hypocritical they're being is even starting to shock me linkSorry I'm too f*****g old to know how to copy a tweet in.

Great result atm to really get them worried. A couple of weeks ago they'd have been convinced they'd finish above both Bournemouth and Southampton.

Amazingly this thread had slipped to the bottom of the page.
I think it needs refreshing.
Nice to see Forest miss a penalty, then concede.

Everybodies favourite Brennan. Did they show his dad in the crowd by any chance?
Sadly equalised.

Not out of it yet, Everton just need to win their game in hand and Forest are back in bottom 3, all other results being equal. Plenty of permutations yet.

Big result for them against Brighton. Plenty of twists and turns yet I'm sure Definitely, its so tight down at the bottom, often at the bottom of the prem you get one or two teams cut adrift but even southampton who are most peoples favourites for the drop have a chance, its turning out to be an exiting finish.

Big result for them against Brighton. Plenty of twists and turns yet I'm sure Whilst I'd love both to go down tonight's result puts huge pressure on Leeds. I just can't see where Everton will get the points to relegate both the twigs and Lids though.

Massive win for them (and simultaneously a good result for Newcastle).
Southampton at home coming up for them too, and after tonight, while they'll still be underdogs in the match, and have inferior players, Arsenal (H) on the penultimate day will be a lot less daunting than it could have been. Many assumed they were down and they were like 1/6 to go before today, but they've given themselves a fighting chance.

Forest fans saying “ “please VAR , help us, help us “ They feel so let down.. The hypocrisy is astounding... hope it's a contentious VAR call that finally seals their fate. I fail to see your beef. It's not as if the fans had any influence over the Wembley fiasco. They may well have benefitted from mistakes made by others and (some fans)subsequently acted reprehensibly, but that has no bearing at all upon their fans (along with those of most PL clubs bemoaning a VAR decision going against them. or am I being prematurely mature in dealing with what happened at Wembley?
