As a qualified lawyer with expertise in this domain, and from a completely neutral, unbiased point of view may I add.. the lawful punishment for their actions should be liquidation.

Four points is nothing as they may well be able to negotiate it down to two. As the final decision will be taken after the season ends then it will leave a precarious position for clubs at the bottom. Even the corrupt Premier League would not send say Luton down after giving Forest some points back. What would be the point of having rules if that happens? Mind you what was the point of VAR in the play off final if it was going to be ignored? I know the league rules say the final decision has to be before 5 days after the season ends, so in theory potentially after the last game, but Im pretty sure for this case they set a date in April where it had to be finally resolved. Theyre bound to appeal as there is no jeopardy for Forest in appealing. What they should say is any frivolous appeal ( ie theyre not offering up any extra evidence ) will incur a further 2 points They won't be appealing in time because the fat greek won't be out of his armchair in time to reach the court before the 24th May

Is it because they admitted their guilt? Any appeal would be heard after the season has finished apparently. Why would they appeal if they’ve admitted their guilt? Like Everton did probably feel it’s too harsh . BBC say any appeal will be rushed through potentially. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/685948658 April (approximate) - 'Directions hearing' to set a date for an appeal hearing, which will last between one and three days and conclude no later than 24 May. It is likely to be much earlier in Forest's case.

If they appeal it’s like Shipman appealing to the medical board.

Their mitigation is that they only went over the limit because the deadline meant they could not maximise the sale price for that twot that went to Spurs...so they delayed and got £45m...if that was the case, then it wasn't an accident or an oversight, it was deliberate breaking of the rules...I'd be fining them £45m as well...

Yeah, Im not sure 'We knowingly broke the rules because we could make ourselves some more money if we broke them' is much of an excuse.

But they've already had it reduced by 2 points for mitigation. Surely they can't appeal on those grounds again?

I hope to god they drop like a ton of concrete,i used to think Leeds were my most hated club in footie but these fuckers deserve everything that's coming. So the big fat Greek shithouse can get his tail between his legs and suck it all in.

I see Forest are quoted as saying the outcome "raises issues of concern for all aspirant clubs"
Weren't they one of the 10 PL clubs who voted against providing a fair share of TV money to aspirant clubs in the Football League just last week?

Just checked the fixture list. Not good. Luton’s next game is away at Spurs. Nevertheless I’ll be hoping for an away win.

Have I missed something here. Their financial year is 30/6 and FFP is based on accounts submitted to Companies House as of that date. So surely their appeal is based on CH agreeing to a player sale in September being agreed by CH and backdated to previous financial year?

If they were 10th in the league now, they would have jumped at 4 points deduction It makes financial fuckwittery worthwhile??? Give it 2 or 3 seasons and the top divisions will be sorted out by a committee some time after the season finishes. 🤪 They will have to present the trophy to lads on the fucking beach and tell others preparing for Europe or the premier league the bad news. Maybe you will be able to negotiate a deduction before the season starts to cover for your financial tomfoolery?? Or purchase points at the end🤔

Seems to me that the clubs knowingly break the rules and then when charged admit it and submit their evidence. They then argue that because they admitted it they shouldn’t be punished. So it’s ok to cheat and break the rules as long as you admit it when caught. What’s the point in investigating and charging them🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ Complete farce.

Wolves have sold a lot of players to make sure they are within the limits. If it’s only four points they might as well have kept the lot of them.

Forest will be OK based on the Wembley result. The FA will instruct all referees to give them penalties in every game they are losing.

Brentford, Brighton etc have shown you can stay up in the first season without having to go overboard with the spending.
But maybe that time has past now and teams do need to spend big,
Forest's main problem when they first came up was they had a lot of loan players that needed replacing.

Has anyone mentioned that ex-Forest star Brennan Johnson’s father David used to also play for them?

That will be the No 1 fixture I look for next season. I'm getting more worried by the day that the nightmare scenario of Forest staying up and Town going down may happen. It really doesn't bear thinking about. I'm scared I wouldn't leave the house for a few months and if I did that I'd end up in Armley.

Have they had a full apology from the FA yet and the points put back on UTH a bonus gift of six extra points as a way of compensation for even thinking the mighty Forrest should be questioned let alone penalised
