I honestly think he needs his head examinating, if he believes an ounce of what he says. He clearly is delusional He's just trying to get a job. It might even work ( it did on Bromby )

SIEWART deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as these two buffoons...a rare trilogy of bizarre appointments! Never understood the Siewert aspect. He wasn't half as bad as these 2. We were basically down when he took over, I don't think anyone would have done any better given our situation at that point. There's some on here that will genuinely tell you that Wagner was unlucky in all his games that season and that Siewert was shite in all of his.

Both oversaw a few good performances that season which we were unlucky to lose. Both also oversaw some of the most gutless displays I've ever seen from a Town side that season. But Siewert was an astoundingly underqualified appointment considering the league we were in, which only emphasises how much Wagner achieved up to that point. He's always going to get more good faith assessments than Siewert as a result.

He's always going to get more good faith assessments than Siewert as a result. Maybe he was underqualified, but the fact he took over with us 10 points adrift at the bottom, without a win in ten, and having won just seven games in the last 50 shows that he was on a hiding to nothing anyway. And he didn't do much worse than what Wagner did that season in terms of results. Wagner won a grand total of two matches and we'd scored 13 goals by the time he left in January. They were both shite that season, but I'll cut Siewert some slack when he's being compared to the likes of Moore and Fotheringham as he was failing to beat the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton, Leicester whereas the other two clowns were failing to beat Rotherham, QPR, Plymouth, Sheffield Wednesday, Reading and Cardiff.

Siewert wasn't shit because we got relegated. He was shit because we were staggeringly poor on the way down, but also because we started the following season SO poorly.
It was clear from the start that we were going down. If he wasn't using that time to prepare for the following season, it's inexcusable. If he was - and we were still THAT bad - that also tells you all you need to know about his capabilities as a head coach.
May be a damned good youth coach, and I bear him no ill will whatsoever, but as a head coach he was dreadful.

When your manager is coming out with statements like "The season starts against Cardiff" when the Cardiff game is the third game of the season, then the writing is on the wall.

Fotheringham and Wadsworth .
It sends a cold shiver down the spine.
Who is/was the most deluded?
Both of them could start a double act called
Talking utter bollocks.
Or
Living in a world of my own
Or
Why are the crowd so angry.

Does he realise that these kind of articles and interviews are actually going to deter clubs from hiring him? The journo's writing them are clearly having a laugh at his expense.

Yet ANOTHER interview from MMF! This quote is not made up. “The week after I arrived at Huddersfield, the chairman pulled the carpet from under my feet. Suddenly there was no budget. I had to wheel and deal. I’m not complaining because that kind of stuff will only make me stronger. “I stabilised the situation at Huddersfield. But the club was on the verge of administration. “I was sacked off the back of two wins, three draws and two defeats – so to say it was harsh is an understatement. The club was up for sale and the fans were protesting against the board. “Their response was to bring in an old favourite in Warnock. Neil inherited a stabilised team who were supremely fit and were about to come out of the bottom three. “But I was ALWAYS going to keep Huddersfield in the league. I genuinely believe what we did there was remarkable, a huge success. And if I’d been backed like managers after me we could have done more. “Since we left, they’ve fallen even further behind. What happened has only given myself and Kenny even more belief in what we’re doing.” www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/aberdeens-last-3-managers-dont-32315060

He also had the most stupid post match interviews where the first game he ever said we played badly was after a very good performance against Luton. Can't wait for him to end up at Lugar Boswell Thistle

He must be paying the Daily Record to publish them. Almost beyond parody. Absolutely no way he's getting an SPL gig.

Gordon, Highlands: We need a proper football coach who understands modern styles of play and can procure players who fit the team pattern. Fotheringham's CV looks excellent, let's give him a try. If not, Michael O'Neill has coached some good sides. Not Stephen Robinson after the Goodwin fiasco.
Someone had a bang to the head, fotheringham CV loos excellent!!!

Some more gems in this article - www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/aberdeen-s-last-3-managers-can-t-compare-with-my-cv-as-mark-fotheringham-sends-a-message-to-scottish-football/ar-BB1jD3Hd“Part of me likes going under the radar. It was the same when I got the Huddersfield job. “No one had a clue I was going there until the day it was announced. But the club saw how professional I was and I’ve always prided myself on that. Listen, I’m really proud to be Scottish. I represented my country at all levels as a player, up to the B squad. But I just feel like Scotland should take some pride in me as well. I’ve done amazing things as a coach already. “And I’ll always be open to speaking with Scottish clubs because it’s my home. What I’d bring to the Premiership would be completely different. But owners must be brave enough to pick up the phone. I wouldn’t say I feel under-appreciated in Scotland – I just feel a bit detached. It feels like I’m constantly overlooked. “I’ve worked in high pressure situations, none more so than with South Korea recently. A Scottish coach working with Klinsmann at a major tournament – but no one in my own country was aware of it. It’s a bit crazy. “I still live in Scotland. My wee boys go to school here and I watch games every week. “But as an example, three of Aberdeen’s previous managers have been Stephen Glass, Jim Goodwin and Barry Robson. “I have respect for these guys, so it’s not a slight on them. But I don’t think their CVs are comparable to mine. Yet I’m never mentioned for these jobs.”

I seem to remember that everyone in Huddersfield knew he was getting the job about two days before it was announced as there were videos of him on the training ground!
Wasn't there a massive hissy fit amongst some of the fans because it wasn't announced straight away?

www.football365.com/news/exclusive-interview-aberdeen-mark-fotheringhamYet ANOTHER interview, but this time he takes aim at unnamed assistant manager... “When the opportunity came up at Huddersfield, some people in Germany said it was a suicide mission due to the limited resources, but I wanted to work with the young players and believed I could bring success. “I went in there ready to work with the staff that was already there and that was a mistake because the assistant had an agenda and possibly wanted my job, so it was even more remarkable that I was able to win games and stabilise the situation. “I came away from Huddersfield even more confident in my own abilities now and I can’t wait to get back in and get a team promoted in England or work in the Bundesliga in Germany. It’s just about getting a chance now.”
