Busy weekend but managed to shoehorn watching the game in the outskirts of sutton in ashfield (dont ask). Dont have time to read thread so just a quick congrats to team and coach. Clean sheet and three points and the points is really what its about until we get further up the table. The finer points of style and identity can wait a bit until we are a bit safer.

The only trained 3 days out of 5 is an interesting one. Somebody been pulling themselves from sessions?

Knew I recognised him from previous games, but couldn't think of the name. Wondered if it was Jeremy Simpson in a syrup! Tim Robinson, Jeremy Simpson, James Linnington, Jarred Gillett, Robert Jones, Peter Bankes & Matthew O'Donohue etc, etc - UTT. Add the 4th official Bond to that..always been atrocious whenever he's refereeing us

Quite noticeable yesterday that we looked alot fitter than we were earlier in the season, I thought they looked tired at the same time, The world Cup will be our saviour this year, chance to have a pre-season we missed with Danny.

My bets on Tino, Russel and Yuta (since redeemed) My bets on Russell, Mbete and Hayden 2 players were leaving the game in there car before I left.... they were at the front of the queue in the top car park in a matt grey merc..... arguing with a steward about been let out and not held until the coaches leave. I dont see that as an attitude that will get them back in the team anytime soon... they need to shape up or ship out im affraid.

Massive win.
I like that he gave them a hard time at half time. We were too slow on the ball especially in midfield.
Much better in the second half.
I think the short pre-season didn’t help us at all and the blame for that firmly lies with EFL. Everybody knew about the early start for the season. The play-offs should have been quicker. Less time before the finals. I’m guessing that the players had to have a certain amount of time off ? So town started when they could? It left us playing catch up.
I like the look of Mahoney he is very good on the ball and does the simple things really quickly.
Something to build on now and congrats to the new manager. Get the feeling if they aren’t putting it in, then they won’t be playing. The way it should be.
UTT.

I'm sure nobody is disappointed with the scoreline but this just isn't enjoyable to watch at all. I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest we won't get relegated this season. Give the manager time get to the break out of the bottom 3 with some time to work out the wrinkles. Winning Ugly till then is ok Yeah I appreciate its VERY early into his tenure, and we do have a lot of players in and around the squad who don't exactly have masses of Championship, or even first team experience come to think of it, so I certainly aren't looking to dig out individuals. I'm just very worried as I think we're taking an enormous gamble here which we almost can't afford to lose. Anyways, onto Rotherham. Hopefully the green shoots of recovery grow even longer 👍🏼

Not a great game by any stretch, seemed to be more action in the stands than on the pitch in a 1st half to forget, after the break Town looked like a team determined to take all the points & so it proved. Six points off mid table with a game in hand & a run of winnable games coming up, surely more to come as confidence grows......bookies offer of 9/1 now for a top half finish shows MF not convinced them yet..UTT.

Mbete was driving. Not sure about the other one. Not sure why he'd be in such a rush, he'd only stall the engine every 10 yards...

Tim Robinson, Jeremy Simpson, James Linnington, Jarred Gillett, Robert Jones, Peter Bankes & Matthew O'Donohue etc, etc - UTT. Jon Moss and Tierney. Yes I went there lol. Trevor Kettle used to be a bad one too. Gurnam Singh Uriah Rennie Mike Jones (Accrington FA Cup game when he sent Worthy off for winning the ball) But at least they were only shit, not corrupt like Moss and Tierney!

Players leaving early i'd think were on the wrong end of a bollocking ? told to f*ck off and report back for training on monday ?
I like this guy, (Foz), he's doing what no previous managers have done and dealing with the wasters..crikey if Mbenze, Diakhaby and co had been here.. I also like he isn't hiding behind glib phrases to 'protect' the players confidence..if they're crap he's calling it.
I think for this season if we can finish 12th-14th would be an achievement..then , again, it depends whether Deano will give him a chance to strengthen the squad and make progress..no manager likes to just tread water season after season.

Lee Fowler was driving a new Porsche when he was here on loan, that's 17 or 18 years ago

They get so much in terms of care and things done for them. The wages they are on. True professionals will take the bollocking and buck up their ideas. Any who don't can go for me. Rumours I know, but if one is Russell, he needs to realise we gave him his chance. Mbete, he can go back if he is the other.

Players leaving at the full time whistle is not a new thing. There’s always one or two not in the squad at the front of the queue; Danny Grant and Aaron Rowe were always there.
Aaron Rowe was one of those at the front yesterday.
