I didn't think we were awful, and like so many championship games it could have gone either way. Some decent attacking football at times, but we just didn't take our chances when we were on top.
It's great we're bringing through so many youngers, but we're blooding too many at the same time. Some very poor decision making at times tonight when we were in some decent positions, and while it comes with age, we can't afford to have 3,4,5 players all learning on the job at the same time.
Based on the current squad we're going to struggle to stay up I think, but I don't think it will be because of poor tactics from the manager or a lack of effort from the players. Rather it's a lack of quality.

Can we crash the bus and claim the insurance or something. Ive actually seen something on Saturday that yells me we'll get out of it. Problem is, as everyone knows, we cant even blame MF for that. Not his fault at all. Talk about playing risk and dealing shite hands. Honestly I'd rather town were relegated than that piece of work Pritchard ever play for town again, whoever said that, wash your mouth out 😁 *edit to be clear i mean crash the bus ti call games off like Coventry, no one to get seriously hurt!

Looks grim right now. But positives are, look at the average age of our team tonight on the field at one point. Diarra Jackson Camara Spencer Rudoni Kasumu All 22 or under. 5 home grown players (Duane included) on the field at the same time. I don't think the performance was that bad. Rhodes or Duane score before the goal we win. A clinical striker and we win comfortably tonight. I agree with all of that. The kids' heads went down when they scored, but we really should be converting some of those chances. Thought Rudoni was excellent tonight. The problem is none of the youngsters can be rested now we have no players left.

A clinical striker and we win comfortably tonight. We've not had one for going on 3 seasons, and won't be getting one any time soon. Not much point in wasting time on hypothetical situations.

I just don’t know what to think anymore. I was happy at most of the first half but for all the bluster we’ve lost again. Another increase in effort again which is positive and probably one of the better halves of football all season but results matter and we’re still not controlling games for more than 45-50 minutes max. Defensively we look disorganised and the final 3rd looks too off the cuff.
The Yuta sub just baffled me completely. There are 2 like for like replacements on the bench and yet we bring on someone that means we change the position of 3/4 other players. Then we get the obligatory Kasumu sub when it seemed obvious to me Camara was shattered.
I want MF to be successful. He’s shown me nothing to suggest he will be.

That was truly awful.
The quality in the final third is diabolical. Do we literally not know how to break fast before the entire opponents eleven is set up in defense.Always sideways or back... The crossing is never targeted. We don't seem to have any patterns of play what do they do in training??
Where the hell is Hogg?
Bromby out...
Fotheringham with him.. .

I actually feel sorry for the players and coaching staff, we didn’t loose that through a lack of desire or poor coaching we just don’t have enough quality. I guarantee if we were to go on and win 10 on the bounce Hoyles health would miraculously improve again.

Hoyle has driven this club into the ground, all because he wants to earn a few quid back. He could have sold us when our stock was high but was more concerned about selling to a dupe who would agree to his terms. He can dress it up how he wants but he’s basically no better than an anonymous businessman from oversees. At least they’d cut their losses

Don't think the weather helped, but it bodes well for league 1 having a young team. Plus that striker we signed whose name escapes me, could be a good set up

Ironically, had a 32 year old done his job even to a 5/10 level we'd have won that comfortably. We were the better side until they went ahead.

No we’re not relegated. It’s not even half way through the season. Not a terrible performance tonight but with a lot of young inexperienced players on the pitch there was always going to be some naive decision making. Come on Stants there is nothing I can see that this team can stay up. Too many project players & the old ex player's crowd. Fucking pathetic! are u deluded Stanton lol it’s shite and getting worse

Some of our play was naïve and, especially after the goal, we needed someone to put a rocket up their arses. Who and where we get a striker from is beyond me (while the club is in limbo), let's hope Simpson hits the ground running after the World Cup.

Our finishing last season was amongst the best in the league. If Rhodes had played like he was sober we'd have won that. That said, Simpson doesn't strike me as the answer for tonight. Quick and an absolute unit but even more raw than I like my steak.

Many positives but big glaring issues about creating and scoring. I get the frustration but let's direct it properly. We replicated much of that performance countless times last season (and dare I say it....during the promotion season) but won. Small margins but important margins at the moment.

Kasumu, I thought was a precautionary sub with him being on 4 yellow cards and facing a suspension for a 5th. He often picks up his yellow cards for daft stuff when he's tired. As much as I like to see Kasumu on the pitch, I thought MF probably made a sensible move there.

We are relegated. Too far gone now. What an amateur fucking set up. Don't deserve this division. No we’re not relegated. It’s not even half way through the season. Not a terrible performance tonight but with a lot of young inexperienced players on the pitch there was always going to be some naive decision making. Deluded. £100 we are. Will be glad to lose it.

Hoyle out. Bromby out. Fotheringham out. A fucking shambles top to bottom. I feel sorry for Fotheringham. I actually think we’re relatively well coached. 100% agreed on Hoyle. He’s put his ego above Town at every turn. He could have accepted his limitations and sold us after our PL survival.

Absolutely disgusting. Bin the lot of the fuckers, starting with Holmes. He was shit when he left, shit while he was away, and he’s shit now he’s back. Strange that recruitment shouldn’t figure that one out. Holmes has probably been our best player this season... If ever a statement summed up how bad we are.

Not a deserved result really but that is frequently applicable to teams that get relegated.
Same old lack of quality in final third has cost us. Yet, it is extremely hard for supporters that noone in the entire world would have said that a team losing the play off final in May would have Spencer, Jackson, Camara, Boyle & Diarra all playing for the first team, at the same time, in the Championship in November.
Can't fault anyone's effort & if Holmes scores we might well have won but it's the same old problem of final third woes, only now we are relying on a load of kids (& I'm not knocking them, they all did ok, especially Rudoni & Camara) but we also have a decimated squad, where, remarkably both Rhodes & Ward are still fit currently.
Anyone who can't see why supporters are so dismayed after the highs of last season need to give their heads a shake.

Shambles from top to bottom. Fair play to the fans that keep going to the games. I honestly applaud the ones that keep going. Had the unfortunate pleasure of having to watch the game tonight as the father in law in a massive Sunderland fan. Thankfully the stream kept dropping out. Honestly depressing stuff.
