Absolutely disgusting. Bin the lot of the fuckers, starting with Holmes. He was shit when he left, shit while he was away, and he’s shit now he’s back. Strange that recruitment shouldn’t figure that one out. Holmes has probably been our best player this season... Yes and he's shit, says it all really

... and I can understand why. He was at death's door for quite a while and some people on here were oblivious to this... writing pretty distasteful posts. He has now handed over the reins (but still putting money into the club). Get over it. how about you get over licking his arse Bedtime. School for you tomorrow.

Anyone trying to put a positive spin is simply delusional. Embarrassing. I must be delusional. The players looked interested. They looked motivated. We were let down by some fucking horrible finishing. Conversely we had: Spencer Jackson Camara Rudoni Kasumu Diarra All involved tonight. Diarra fell below my expectations but the rest can hold their heads up high tonight. Work on finishing on the training pitch, and MF learning to use subs a bit earlier and we can climb the table. Shit result but the performance was encouraging imo.

Fotheringhay said he doesn't care about tactics. Yes Mark, we can tell! I'm not a fan of MF, but you cant blame him for that. We've been let down massively on the recruitment and investment. The players gave everything tonight, but they just aren't good enough sadly.

It’s a really bad one for Nakayama. Out of the World Cup for sure.

It’s a really bad one for Nakayama. Out of the World Cup for sure. You could tell straight away by his reaction. I'm surprised he's in the squad to be honest as he doesn't look anywhere near that level but it's awful for him. Trying to stay injury free has probably been in his mind all season, same with Helik and Thomas

It’s a really bad one for Nakayama. Out of the World Cup for sure. That's a real shame, I feel he was just getting to grips with the physical side of the Championship. Absolutely gutted for the lad if he has to miss the World Cup, I wish him a speedy recovery.

Unlucky with the injuries but this lot couldn’t hit a barn door if they were holding on to its handle. All them chances and a pathetic three on target. It’s not looking right promising at all.

Made enough chances but just not testing the keeper. Criminal how often we don’t even hit the target

Not a deserved result really but that is frequently applicable to teams that get relegated. Same old lack of quality in final third has cost us. Yet, it is extremely hard for supporters that noone in the entire world would have said that a team losing the play off final in May would have Spencer, Jackson, Camara, Boyle & Diarra all playing for the first team, at the same time, in the Championship in November. Can't fault anyone's effort & if Holmes scores we might well have won but it's the same old problem of final third woes, only now we are relying on a load of kids (& I'm not knocking them, they all did ok, especially Rudoni & Camara) but we also have a decimated squad, where, remarkably both Rhodes & Ward are still fit currently. Anyone who can't see why supporters are so dismayed after the highs of last season need to give their heads a shake. Balanced view....and therefore welcome amongst all the ' we are fucked' ' we are shit' stuff. Agree that the issue today was lots of young talent all doing their best but learning and the more experienced players not yet stepping up to heights of last season. Bad combination. Of the youngster I think Jackson is a starter and camara is too. I like camara and kasumu together but it's a real risk to rely on players learning at this level without that naveity in the second half. Spencer did ok i thought but him and diarra don't yet look ready. And having to use really raw players like ondo shows up the issues. I can't quite qork out whether to hold on to the positives tonight that did continue some of the recent better form or.to.be even more worried that we lost a game we easily could have won.

Get over it. how about you get over licking his arse Look he was very ill that’s a fact ! deaths door ?Well, that’s some statement but not what I was privy to and I was working at the club at the time ....cancer was mentioned You’ve got to take it on face value if he says he has been told to take a step back by a clinician ,far enough ,I know the timing is dubious but who would lie about such things ?...knowing Dean I think this is beyond him but that said with hindsight he should have stepped completely away and not kept 25% shares and not ‘sold’ the 75% to his mate instead he should have waited for a legitimate offer from a fit and proper individual We created chances tonight I’ve seen a lot worse but if quality luck and composure we could have even won that but I’m not deluded it wasn’t a great performance and unless we quickly sort out the running of the club the ownership and bring in new quality players and we see real investment, then it will be difficult with this squad to avoid relegation imo

2 goals from open play in the last 8 games
An own goal and a rubbish cross which fortunately went in.
No way can a team stay up with a record like that

Got back in time for the last 8 minutes of the Burnley vs Rotherham match. I saw more excitement, decent crossing, decent shooting, decent passing, and passion in those 8 minutes than I did in the 90 minutes at the John Smith's tonight. Thought Rhodes was poor - then Ward came on, apparently. Holmes is the same Holmes he's always been and if he IS our best player this season then the bar is so incredibly low. If you think I'm being harsh can any DATM poster tell me they were surprised when he shot straight at the goalkeeper with our only chance ? Really ? Or is that not his bloody job

I'm in the delusional camp. Thought we were all over them until they scored and then Sunderland managed the game well but we still created good situations which we didn't make the most of.
Until then though, we were winning the ball quickly and high up the pitch. Sunderland couldn't play out at all. If we score first, like we should have, that is a comfortable win.

Worst corner I've ever seen. If you meant Mahoneys, the ball moved just before he struck it.

Thought we played reasonably well tonight, but with finishing like we showed we could have played until tomorrow tea-time and we still wouldn't score. The worry is that we still seem to lack the guile to dig ourselves out of a hole, and the removal of Kasumu basically nullified us for the next ten minutes. That it was Pritchard who got the opener made it sting just a little more.

one of the only statistical certainties in football is if a striker keeps missing big chances, the goals will come eventually. when it's a team it points to a bigger problem. But there are worse problems to have. I mainly hope that the players we've lost to injury over the last week are back soon

I'm almost looking forward to next season in League One, where "we belong". Much bigger clubs than us have been there for a few years, recovered, then got promoted. No shame in being there again. We don't have the money to compete properly in this league, but most fans can't see that.
