Not a bad record to be fair: Fleetwood - promotion from LG 2 Scunthorpe - 3rd in LG 1, left them in 5th in LG1 Salford - promotion from National League, EFL Trophy Final, left them in 5th in LG2 Motherwell - qualified for Europe MK Dons - lasted 16 games In saying that, Darren Moore’s record isn’t that bad either on paper. Assistant is Chris Lucketti.

I actually think this is just about the best appointment City could make, far better suited to a Division 4 team than Hughes.
Mind you, if they persist with the slowest CBs I've ever seen in the football league, even Pep wouldn't be able to get results. They should get Edwards in as sprint coach, as he is lightning compared to the City lot.
I actually think Alexander may turn out to be the appointment they need to turn things round for them.

I heard an interview with Powell where he said he lived in Wakefield when he was here. He might have stayed in a hotel in Wakefield...He probably meant Wakefield Westgate...waiting...

I would take them back over DM.
They were nasty on the touchline and full of issues but knew what they wanted from the team and you know that they worked hard to get them to do what was necessary. What a change from DM.
They also train with a football!

One of the only decisions Hodgkinson got right was sacking these two pillocks.

Hodgkinson was far from perfect, and clearly didn't have the pockets, but he got a fair bit right.

One of the only decisions Hodgkinson got right was sacking these two pillocks. Not a fan? Yeah, loved them. Loved hearing Danny Cowley talking about corridor runs, elbows of the box and various other bits of bullshit. Not to mention the Leeds games, where he waxed lyrical about how great Bielsa was rather than concentrating on the team he was managing. I'm glad COVID happened, so I didn't have to watch some of that guff he produced in-person. Had us clear of relegation by Christmas (some on here were even talking about play-offs - ha!) but lo and behold, he dragged us back into it and we only survived on Game 45. Some of those performances under him were dreadful, and when you look at the squad he had available, survival on Game 45 isn't particularly impressive.

Surprised they didn't do better at Pompey but expect them to do well at ColU. Turned down sadford probably due to the geography, they'll have earned enough not to go chasing up and down the country I dare say and both have young families I think.
Good luck to em.

One of the only decisions Hodgkinson got right was sacking these two pillocks. Those pillocks who took over a team with 1 win in 37, 1 win in 9 months, 1 point from 7 games? Those pillocks who despite that Achieved their objective, kept us up. Had a league record W13 D11 W15 With no pre season They bought one player outright - Toffolo. One of the best transfers we’ve made in the last 20 years in terms of quality Pillocks? Nonsense. Good luck to them

It was amateur hour under him and it was often embarrassing but sacking Cowley was correct. I'd say Hodgkinson got it right on both counts - hiring and firing them. They were exactly what we needed at that stage, we were awful and devoid of any confidence before they arrived. They revived us from almost certain relegation but their impact had clearly waned by the end.

I agree it had more quality but also full of bad eggs & they took over an absolute show of a sinking ship. Their record W13 D11 L15 was mid table points per game and far better than current season W5 D10 L11 I don’t doubt they had their own way of doing things which wasn’t for everyone. Anyhow you’ve no worries of any wankers now - nice guy Darren is here

When you look at the squad they had especially in the 2nd half of the season, to keep that lot in a relegation battle for the entire season took some doing.
Lossl, Toffolo, Schindler, Stankovic, Chalobah, O'Brien, Hogg, Bacuna, Willock, Smith-Rowe, Mounie, Grant plus others that would be on our bench now such as Simpson, Hadergjonaj, Kachunga, Pritchard (I don't like him but he'd comfortably be on our bench), Campbell.
From where we were when the January window opened that lot should have comfortably been midtable.

From where we were when the January window opened that lot should have comfortably been midtable. 1) We can't fill our bench. There'd be space for Gordon Tucker on there! 2) He still wouldn't be on our bench because he'd be "injured".
