The board are to blame for the toxic atmosphere, it isn’t after a few losses it’s a long time coming this. Some welcome for the new lads this will be 🙄 we’re a win off getting out of the drop zone which would be a huge step towards safety this season, it’s not all rosey at town but we know the situation we’re in. Interested to see what the banner says, but it will create a toxic atmosphere and affect the players for the worse.

What are we protesting?
I think we need some context here. If we are to protesters, they need to be informed and clear as to what they are protesting against / for, otherwise their point will be lost and they look like dickheads.
We have owners (just for ease of making a point) that aren’t running the club and want to sell; if they could sell tomorrow, they would. We have a CEO who is trying to find a buyer and who has limited control over funding. He’s found potential buyers, they just won’t purchase until they know what our league status will be - which is fair. He’s also invested limited cash where he can. Principally, any decision to sack and appoint a new manager may be out of his hands and/or he may not have the funds to sack and appoint.
I may not have the inside track and that may be over simplified, but I’m struggling to understand who we would be protesting against and what good it would do. I also question the timing. It’s catch-22.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m disenfranchised, but I struggle to see what the benefit of young lads gathering to sing shitty songs would be in either the short or the long-term.
It could be worse. We could be Wigan.

Tomorrow, we begin expressing our thoughts towards the state of the club. The game is a chance to deliver on many promises. We give our support to those out on the pitch but it’s time that those responsible for the position we find ourselves in to be held to account.
This is what Cowshed Loyal have to say

Because I don’t think it’s their issue at all. I think they’re trying to work with the best they can and caught between two pricks. It’s too easy to say ‘the board’ and too many do without actually understanding what it is or means.

This is what Cowshed Loyal have to say These threats are just as shallow as the promises they challenge. It’s just empty words. What happens if the promises on the field are delivered tomorrow, do they change their tact? “The signings have been great today and the performance was fantastic, but we still don’t like you and we’re expressing our thoughts”

This is what Cowshed Loyal have to say The vaguest protest ever? It’s as silly as Shelly the petrol pump assistant protesting rising fuel prices by dousing her own car in petrol and setting it alight on her own petrol forecourt.* *not a real thing as far as I’m aware.

All I would ask if this lot do hold some sort of protest after the game they leave it until 20 minutes after the final whistle. That will give time for the grown-ups to get back to their cars, trains or pubs without any hassle.

Heard what the cowshed loyal banner says on it and quite frankly think it's ridiculous and completely counter productive, at a time we have an absolutely crucial set of fixtures coming up. "Down With This Sort of Thing"?

We give our support to those out on the pitch but it’s time that those responsible for the position we find ourselves in to be held to account. This is what Cowshed Loyal have to say I kinda get the sentiment but: a) Dean Hoyle has actively been trying to sell the club and is financially propping us up. He wants out. b) Leigh Bromby has overseen some decent signings in the past, less so last summer, and has probably done as well as could be expected this January. We needed some experience, some was brought in (I suspect Dave Baldwin was responsible for much of this). He was 100% at fault for appointing first Danny Schofield and then (unforgivably for me), Mark Fotheringham. Huge mistake. I’m not sure where any demonstration gets us. Will DH be even there tomorrow (the ski season is in full swing)? The hierarchy must read social media so should already know how much pissed off many of us are. I can see it being a couple of hundred, mainly under 30, outside the main entrance at the end of the game chanting “sack the board”. Btw, what does that even mean? 🤔

Atmosphere rocking during the game, regardless of performance or result and protest after both in the stands and outside. Why not both? Is there an allergy to enjoying 90mins with your friends and families regardless of how we play?
Might just be me but if I wasn't arsed for enjoying it without seeing a win I wouldn't even bother to turn up, plenty of ways I can spend my energy and money instead.
The last few times I have been the flat atmosphere has been a massive disappointment. Stand up, sing, enjoy being able to be at a damn game after the covid drama and if you want to shout about the state of the club then do it anyway, key bit here, regardless, of the result.

But we were drowned out by 50,000 forest fans and then another 20,000 in our end because we sold no tickets?

Team need to lead this by showing us something out on the pitch for likely the first time in weeks. If this happens, the crowd will do their bit. Been very difficult of late, little support behind Fotheringham and the team have been largely gash. It’s actually a wrench to leave the comfort of the pub to go witness some of the dross served up.

This part of Yorkshire has a history of protest, the luddites for example. Unfortunately I don't think they'll be there.

go get your banner out lad and join the few that over react to the situation because if you think it will make a difference best of luck!! Won't be having a banner. If there is a demonstration after the game, I will join in. Nothing so far has made a difference, so that should be the next step. I am also not a push over and willing to accept everything is fine and dandy. It's fans like yourself that has Dean thinking everything is okay. I certainly don’t think things are ok but they are working hard to sort it and don’t need protesters to make it better

I grew up thinking the Luddites originated in West Yorkshire but despite our area being a hotbed of Luddite activity for a while, the movement started in Nottingham. Disappointing.

Majority on here would have been happy with 0 signings and that cash used to get rid.

Genuine question. It'll be a fluke and presumably an own goal scored under absolutely no pressure at all.
