Great chance for a win against a side badly out of form, I'll be disappointed with owt less than 3 points, stating the obvious we really need to start winning games. Great chance for us or them ? 😉 Both, in theory😉

That’s enough negativity. Exciting game tomorrow. We have a top top class keeper, we’ve got a winger with a bit of pace and in Knockheart something different on the bench.
A winnable game with the perfect 2 fixtures to follow.

I think I've become as detached from the club as I have in over 20 years. I'm planning to turn up tomorrow and I can't remember the last one I was at, possibly as far back as last October. If I hadn't checked on here first I wouldn't have had any idea who we were playing either. Too many other priorities at the moment. Hoping for a good performance and a win obviously but last few highlights I've watched didn't show much improvement and I'm yet to be convinced by Fotheringham but I'm hardly alone in that regard. Will be interesting to gauge the atmosphere and the genuine turnout on the day rather than official figures which always count no-show SC holders. Me too, I'm supposed to be going looking for a car with my daughter tomorrow morning, I've already said it's ok if time runs on and I miss the game. Porrohgirl: "Dad, I've just found a brand new Rolls Royce Sweptail for a fiver, and the guy says if I buy now he'll throw in unlimited free insurance, tax & petrol. I'll buy it & we should get to the ground in plenty of time for kickoff".Porrohman: "Let's shop around for a few hours first".

Anyone listen long enough to know who is available tomorrow? Everyone apart from Ward & possibly Jones, the decks have been cleared & the new blood is ready for action.......at odds of 2/1 we have to be worth a punt..2-0 UTT.

A narrow home win tomorrow but it won’t be spectacular and will be enough to keep Fotheringham in the job for a little while longer at least. Let’s be honest, if we’re going to win a game, QPR at home is a golden opportunity as they’re on a bad run. Anything less than a win will be pretty disasterous as I don’t see us getting anything at Blackpool.

Anyone listen long enough to know who is available tomorrow? He says potentially 5/6 home debuts. He says the reason why Camara is missing out is because of Hogg. High carries an attacking threat from midfield, apparently?

I think a zero is missing off them odds. I haven't seen anything on the pitch in the past few weeks to suggest that we're going to win a single game for the rest of the season, especially whilst Buzz the clown is still the manager. 4 of our next 5 games are against teams who are currently on a run of 0 or 1 win in 9 games or more, so that really bodes well for us. QPR: 1 league win in 13 Blackpool: 0 league wins in 10 Wigan: 1 league win in 15 Birmingham: 1 league win in 9

I don’t care if we lose if it means this fraud gets humiliated and sacked. Siewert, Schofield, Powell, all of them needed to go but were nice guys that it just didn’t work for. This guy though, just a royal asshole since day one and I’ve never seen a more unlikable manager. Otherwise if town insist on continuing to be a joke, hopefully a fluke win from a shite lucky penalty we get awarded from a corner caused by a QPR player misplacing a back pass or something. No matter what you think of MF, we’re 3 points off safety right now. We could be out of the drop zone come 5pm Saturday with a win. 15k town fans surely all go to that stadium wanting to achieve this. How anyone could want us to lose Saturday is beyond me. No one can guarantee he would be gone if we do lose so I agree. As much as I want him gone winning the game would be a better outcome.

What makes him our best CB? I wasn't seeing what others did so I watched him more during games recently, and I still don't really get it. I made a point before that middle CB in a 3 is the easiest. You have less pressure with the ball, more cover around you if you're out of position and are rarely 1 on 1 unlike the wide centre halves. I think that's part of the reason Lees isn't playing as well as last year, along with a general drop in performance. Just have a watch back of the goals we've conceded in the past 5 or 6 games back to and including Watford and focus on Helik. I'm not saying they were all or solely his fault at all before someone claims that, but I'd be interested to see your thoughts on his positioning and/or decision making for them. Happy to share my views afterwards (or before if you want but didn't want to influence too much). Not only is Helik our best defender, he's also our most consistent performer in the whole team. Helik v Lees defensive stats this season. Successful tackles per game. Helik 1.2. Lees 0.7. Interceptions Helik 1.9. Lees 1. Blocks Helik 1.4. Lees 0.8. Aerial duels won Helik 3.5. Lees 3.2. Whoscored has him down as comfortably our highest rated overall player with 5 MotM awards. Top player is Helik. Whilst there are some good stats here, you are comparing 2 different positions. As I have said previously, centre of a 3 is very different to wide of a 3. In the middle you have much more freedom as you have 2 either side to cover back. You can run out, be more erratic, and have less responsibility. At wide centre half you find yourself 1 on 1 a lot. When you compare to Lees last year in the middle it is quite different. Lees won more ground and aerial duels, for example. Look at how much better Sarr looked when he was in the middle compared to the left, and the same with Lees this year to last. The score stats is, IMO, total rubbish. For example, Scott High was down as our best performer last week on one model, Rhodes on another. High was awful, Rhodes anonymous. I asked Porrohman to watch the recent goals focusing on Helik. Here are my thoughts. Coventry 1st, Watford 1st and Luton 2nd - very odd decisions trying to block shots. He seems to jump out of the way of the latter 2 and the first he does a 360 for no reason allowing the man to get free for a shot, whilst also making no attempt at a block of the shot. Watford 2nd he either misreads it or is too slow to react. He's the free man to attack the ball and ends up well behind it almost ducking down to head it. He should be running towards the ball to attack it and I think he gets to the ball first if so. At worst he challenges the scorer. Hull he misreads the ball as it goes over him and is too slow to turn and try and recover. Even the Preston goal (league) he makes an odd movement, he just runs out into the middle of the box despite being nowhere near the ball. He couldn't have done anything to prevent the goal, but I don't understand what he's trying to achieve in general. Coventry 2nd he never looks round once to see what is behind him. Just seems a lack of appreciation of the danger around - though not alone here. As I said before I am in no way saying he is totally at fault for any of these (Hull aside which I believe was mainly his fault followed by a good finish). However, as per my initial thought, I think that these goals help to show that he isn't performing well enough to warrant both Pearson and Lees being out of their preferred positions (RCB and CB). If he is as good as others believe, he should be fine playing LCB and allowing those 2 back into the positions that they played so well in last year. I think he will have a much harder time of it there, though.

Gone for a win - don’t really believe but got to be optimistic with the inclusion of Knockaert and Vaclik. Got to be!
