I feel for him tbh.
The manager's job at Town is a poisoned chalice.
Although I'm not doubting the commitment of the players they are not Championship level.
I hope the new manager can perform miracles and keep us up but positivity is hard to conjure up. We've had years of relegation battles broken only by the Wembley travesty.

When he came in we were in a complete mess. Whilst the improvement we hoped for never happened he, I believe tried his best and at least he is leaving us with a fighting chance of staying up.

Interestingly, the club statement contained none of the usual platitudes (ie thanking MF for the work that he has done etc), which is a statement in itself.

didn't come across well publicly, but a lot of people who are alright in person don't either. Over promised, under delivered.
Out of his depth as a coach, let alone manager at this level. Poor style of play.
There was a month or so where I thought he had us organised and competent enough to stop up, and my loss of that faith was actually down to some quite fine margins. I get the sense we'd have kicked on a bit if we hung on at Hull.
Ultimately he leaves us in a situation similar to that he found us in, worse in some ways and arguably better in others. But so glad to see the back of him

I don't understand the ridicule and hatred.
Yes he was inept, and yes he should not have been given the job, but he didn't appoint himself did he ?
If Messrs Bromby or Hoyle gave him the job based on his interview, they are to blame.
If they gave it him based on his record, they are to blame.
If they gave it him based on no research, they are to blame.
If they gave it him based on research they are to blame.
If they gave him a 3 year contract and a 7 figure sum compensation amount (Maynard Blue), then they should go, just for that alone.
He tried his best, he had few media skills, he kept going, but in the end he wasn't very good. He would have been absolutely daft to turn down what our club offered him. I'm delighted he's gone, but I wish him well.
