Unbelievable job he’s done. I’d be going all out to keep him at the club next season, even in a part time DOF role (or whatever he wants!). It’s almost an impossible act to follow. Just hope we don’t appoint another novice. When Mick Buxton came back and saved us in 1993 and was lured away to manage his boyhood team at Sunderland, (a job that Warnock might have taken just before), that was also almost an impossible act to follow. Hope history repeats itself with our next appointment being as successful as Neil was from 1993. Both times we were favourites for relegation after losing in the play-offs the year before. I wish we could kick this awful habit, because we went down in 2000-01 after the near miss with the play-offs the season before and, of course, Wadsworth's season followed another failure in the play-offs. We've 'only' failed 6 times in 10 play-off campaigns, but had relegation struggles in three of the seasons following. In retrospect I'm grateful to both Jacko and Lee Clark for the other three seasons when we didn't struggle.

Warnock is a god. My favourite manager of ALL TIME. On both occasions he’s made me love this club even more than I thought was possible. Rocket Ron’s smile on Thursday after the game brought a tear to my eye, you could see the joy in their faces and god would I love one more year my lord from these 2 hero’s. Yep. I tried telling my mate who’s been a massive Town fan since 97/98 just how much he’d end up loving Warnock He didn’t believe me But I think he finally did in the end It’s truly insane how he brings everyone together, and all players fight for him like it’s a war, and the fans love it

One little fact I noticed tonight was that Mick Buxton is only 5 years older than Neil. When you now think of Buxton, you think of a bygone, historical era. Neil's achievements in the sport are astonishing.

A full stadium today, no Potless this, Hoyle’s a twat that and i imagine season ticket sales going well.
Warnock has done a lot more than simply get us to 50 points.

Was at a dance in the East Midlands on Friday, when a friend who I always speak to and knows I'm a Town fan, comes up and says "I see my half cousin has bailed you lot out." They've never met, but it turns out his father and Neil's were cousins. Both grandsons of one Thomas Warnock, a policeman in Sheffield, originally from Northern Ireland who it seems got many a fine for being caught in the pub when he should have been working.
Seems that as a youngster Neil spent many a holiday at an aunts in Sutton on Trent!

Butcher was sacked during the season and Buxton took over as manager.

Couldn’t agree more with the earlier post regards the job Warnock has done is more than just getting the points.
I have just seen a post on twitter from a fellow town fan who has summed it up perfectly.
When Warnock and Jeppo walk out the building this coming week, they walk out legends.

Just for the record.
I was too quick to judge (not the only one) an absolute incredible achievement by warnock and jepson. Incredible.

Will Warnock work wonders? Let's have a look at the table for the 15 games he had....5th. INCREDIBLE Attachment Deleted

In our last 14 games we’ve played 12 sides who were in the top 6, or top half.
Of the top 6 as it finished, we’ve lost to Burnley & Coventry, beaten Boro & the Blades, taken a point from the Mackems. (could have been 3 other than for an EFL apology)
We’ve beaten Millwall, Watford and taken Blackburn to the death, another point from Norwich. All teams that had the play offs to play for when they played us.
In hindsight, going into that set of fixtures, it’s hardly surprising many of us were resigned to the inevitable.
Glad that Neil came in and helped some of these players their mojo back.
A young squad, confidence back, a good summer break, let’s hope Neil and his team have provided the catalyst for next season…
UTT!!!

I find it unbelievable that anyone was questioning him, to be honest.
He's won the same amount of games as Schofield, Fotheringham & Pelach combined!

At least 1.5 points per game at Rotherham, Cardiff, Middlesbrough and Town, no matter the number and difficulty of games. He could sign a guarantee if anyone comes calling next season.

Listened to yet another depressing Warnock press conference. Apart from testing out his jokes for his next tour he just comes over as someone who is disinterested , he shows no real passion at all. Even on the touch line at the last 2 games he either stands with his arms folded or sat in dugout. I didn’t no what to expect when he came back but more commitment and passion that we have seen so far. Lol.

I have to say I did wonder last night at the Town Hall whether he had saved me till last. Perhaps because my post was so ridiculous he thought I’m not worth the effort.

Hope the gaffers OK and resting up, think many forget how much of an ask it is physically for a man of his age to put his life and soul into it like he did.

He seemed to be looking forward to doing them at the end of the season. Is there, perhaps, something else needing his attention? I hope it is that and not any health problems from his time with us.

Just had a natter with someone connected to the club, N.W. is stopping as manager next season, big statement I know. New owner is coming next week and is financing the club himself.

So the consortium have backed out?? As much as I wouldn't mind NW remaining at Town, I'd half expected some big name new manager to have already been sounded out by new owner... what's he been doing all these weeks..?

Just maybe, the owner brings in his own that know one has ever heard of. Please, please H.T.F.C do not bring in a merry go round manager. ??
