It’ll be very tough this game . Coventry play good football and have a lot of confidence going into it , pushing for the play offs . Key for us to get a good start as imagine Cov’s initial game plan will be to quieten the crowd . Hopefully a few back from injury for this, my preferred team is:
Vaclik
Pearson Helik Lees Kasumu Camara Hogg Headley Hungbo Ward Rudoni
Heart says 2-1 town , head says score draw

Watched the full game with Sunderland yesterday. Assured winners without dominating possession. A bit like us last season but a bit less shithousery.
3 1 Coventry.

It’d be nice to not be behind after 6/7 mins every game 😬👍🏻

These next 2 are winnable but lets not gloss over the fact that both Coventry and Bristol are both on form, Bristol in particular on a 12 game unbeaten run or summat like that but we must win both, no doubt, if we are to stay up.

Gyökeres is the dangerman we need to keep quiet, though I doubt our defence could even keep Hellen Keller quiet, to be fair.
Probably a bit early to tell with Kasey Palmer's injury but it didn't look good for him yesterday.

Big fortnight for Town before international break, all five of our next opponents won yesterday with Coventry the only ones conceding in added time. Warnock up against three ex Town managers (like NW, all resigned) will be looking to win at least two of our home games........Another scrappy victory, maybe 1-0.

Start Jackson at left back Why not Headley? Jackson at RB? Lowton in the middle again? Lightning might strike twice? Or three times… 😉

After the expected bumming at turf moor.. We move on to a crucial few days in the club’s future.. MUST WIN GAME.. Keep the faith.. NWBA.. I am fed up of hearing the phrase - THIS IS A MUST WIN GAME - if we don't win next Saturday we still have 12 games left to save ourselves which is about a quarter of a season! 🍻

After the expected bumming at turf moor.. We move on to a crucial few days in the club’s future.. MUST WIN GAME.. Keep the faith.. NWBA.. 🍻 I did not expect a win, I believed we could offer some resistance and more threat than we have seen. I did not expect and I do not accept a bumming. Coventry are a decent side in good form, we probably should rest some players and offer little resistance until we play someone that the management and team think they might do ok against???

In the Championship, a division where traditionally anyone can beat anyone, it’s embarrassing to have a squad so lacking in quality that a highly experienced management team decide they need to pick and choose which games we have a chance of getting anything from. It’s why we will go down sadly.

As I said its not losing, its how you lose and the lack of desire to at least work hard was palpable. Burnley won 4 0 and had a day off, its not acceptable.

Agree under MF we would have at least given it a go. Warnock is clear win the games you think you can win and those you cannot take the defeat on the chin. There was no way he thought we could win yesterday and made sure the players were aware that the Burnley game was irrelevant. Let’s hope he changes his approach for next week and he will

Would it have been any different if Fotheringham was still in charge? I don’t think so. Although there are some tough games to come, there’ll be none tougher than yesterday’s and I doubt Warnock will be talking about any more free hits.

Yes I went yesterday which cost me money. And yes we were likely to loose. What I don’t get is the ‘free hit’ comments, said as a bit of a joke! It’s no joke when you have spent best part of 80 quid. Luckily all the other teams who played lost but I find it disrespectful when managers say it was a free hit and pretty much laugh as they say it.

Warnock’s comments were mind games. I don’t believe for one second he didn’t have them fired up. What he learnt was this;
Bilo - inexperienced doesnt command his area. At fault for the first goal.
Lees and Helik are slow.
Reg is a Mile of being a championship defender.
Headley isn’t the best defender.
Kasuma was weak. Just no bite in tackling.
Of the team. We have no midfield that are good enough for the championship yet. Camara was weak in the tackle unlike Birmingham. High is neat on the ball but doesn’t win the ball the enough. Hogg clearly is carrying an injury.
Ward toiled up front and his efforts on goal needed to be a worldie to go in.
Hungbo - play the bloody ball to his feet. I can’t recall one pass that he had.
Diarra - huge potential but it’s just a season too soon. I think he will be great though.
Rudhoni - best player by a mile. Tried, battled and can leave with his head held high.
Where was Knockaert ? - dropped on the basis of a dodgy cameo against Birmingham ? Up till then he had looked good.
Team - if fit for Coventry.
Vaclik
Pearson Lees Helik Lowton Hogg waghorn (it’s time for men) rudhoni Ruffels Hungbo ward Knockart.

Agree with most of this apart from the ‘weak In the tackle’ and ‘no bite in the tackle’ comments, I was there an I didn’t see any tackling at at all. Obviously we were outplayed as a team and as individuals , but what was shocking was that to a man we were soft as shit . Rocket Ron must have wondered what the fuxk was going on .

I can’t remember a match for ages where we regularly put a foot in and tackle until it’s a last ditch to stop a shot. We just jockey the opposition to force them to pass and try and nick the ball with interceptions or 50/50’s. I don’t think it’s just Town it’s the way the game is played now, but it’d be nice to see us actually competing to win the ball a bit more in the run in.
