Only one RL station on my radio. I suppose I’ll have to get another one or move abroad.

I get Town on my dab at home and in one car but Bradford in the other. I really feel for people who can no longer get our commentary. When we went to dab they said it would be a Town only station.

It’s infuriating, especially when you near them announce that if you want the other commentary just tune into the other dab channel like it’s that fking easy. Honestly the signal in the colne and home valley is almost non existent, not sure how it is elsewhere. It’s pot luck which commentary you do get when there is a signal and there is no differentiation on the channels, not like you see radio Leeds 1 and 2 and can select one. I’m not even sure the presenters understand this. The service was way better 40 years ago, progress eh. Gives me a reason to stop paying the license fee I guess.

Isn't that down to your radio rather than RL?
I got a new DAB radio the other week and placed it where my old one (which always had Town commentary) used to be but when I did the auto-tune, it selected the Bradford commentary.
I did a bit of googling and found out about the different RL DAB frequencies and although my new radio listed both of them, like you, it didn't allow me to select the one that I wanted - even though the Town one had a stronger signal!
So I moved around the house to a few different locations until the Bradford frequency lost signal. Then I did another auto-tune and this time it selected the Town commentary. I pressed the 'store' button and it has worked since then, even when I put the radio back in it's original position.
A bit of a faff, but I got there in the end!
I suspect the problem that many of us have had is more down to the lazy design of the DAB radios, rather than RL.

I've got two portable ones and my car and all three just list the station called radio Leeds. Sometimes when I press the preset button in the car it's town, sometimes Bradford, most of the time it's no signal! When I complained to BBC they said I need to differentiate by looking at the station info. It's bollocks and not fit for purpose, I suspect they know this but aren't prepared to do anything about it so just keep pretending it works. The BBC closed down my case. Very fecking annoying that lots of us aren't able to listen to the commentary these days!!

When we leave the car park after a home game we get post match on our game for about two minutes then it flick to Bradford before moldgreen then flicks back at about Waterloo and continues to flick between them all the way home. It’s absolutely shocking. And I’m not trying to listen to the game. Town should tell them to do one and let it be broadcast on fm.

Indoors on the portable - I used the 'Info' button on mine to find out which frequency it was tuned to. We need to be on 12d for Town but mine was tuned to Bradford on 11b. There wasn't a way to choose between the two (the fault of the radio?) so that's when I used the trick of finding a place where the Bradford frequency wasn't being received, then re-tuned and it picked Town up, stored this in a preset and it works all the time now. Obviously this is no good if you don't get any signal at all but as the Town frequency is transmitted from Emley Moor I would guess that unless you have a big hill between you and the transmitter then you should be able to pick it up?
Re. your car - does the radio have a setting that automatically switches frequency to the strongest signal? If it does then try turning it off when you are receiving the 12d (Town) signal. It should then stay on the correct one?

The signal has always been poor in Elland so a few seasons ago I took the plunge and decided to pay annually for audio ifollow.
Have to say its great and works for away games too. Plus you can connect your phone to your car stereo and hear through that fine.

I can get the Town game driving past Stocksbridge, but soon as I head towards Holmfirth it drops.
Don't know if now the Emley Moor transmitter has finished being updated and coming online replacing the temporary mast things might improve, you'd hope so.

RL Sport is now almost exclusively run by Leeds fans bar Oggy and the plastic chesty Pope. On the whole they don’t give a shit.

I think I'm basically doing what you do by searching for the station again hoping the correct one is in range. It's not a solution though, both versions should be available throughout the catchment area of RL. That's what we pay for. The signal isn't fit for purpose, they know this but don't care and can't be bothered fixing it. It's why Leeds are on FM, they know they'd have even more complaints if they were DAB. I've complained to ofcom, ended up with someone at BBC closing my case after simply telling me how to choose between channels whilst ignoring the fundamental issue of zero signal in huge parts of their catchment area. The club should hold them to account and try to find another broadcaster. It's the same pre and post match too, post match I lose it as soon as I drop down from castle hill, the listening figures must be tiny compared to what they were before DAB.

Now ok till Outlane exit then intermittent to Jn 22 when coming home from match. As I tend to arrive about 2.10 I get 10 minutes on the way to the match. Hardly worth it. Only chance you and I are likely to get on FM (can just about pickup in the bedroom but not downstairs) is a midweek match if neither Dirty nor Sadford are playing. Apparently the after match programme is shared somewhere obscure on the internet a couple of weeks later.
