To correct some comments above referring to Hoyle getting back 10p in the pound - the administration rules have changed over the last couple of years and any new owner has to pay a minimum of 25p in the pound immediately (or 35p in the pound over the following 3 years) otherwise there is a further points deduction. I have not kept abreast of the changes. It may be that 25p in the pound is too much for a League 1 club depending on the figure that HTFC owe. To be fair, I wouldn't have known either if it hadn't been for Derby's problems last year.

Who do we owe money to other than Dean Hoyle? Surely if he puts the club in admin and he takes us back over, his debts are going to be completely written off? He isn't going to pay himself 10p in the pound is he

Thing is if the club had been run properly after we got to prem DH would not be needing to lose/pump more money into the club It's because of his decisions that we are where we are. Yes he put money in to get us there (although he did say whilst doing this he didn't expect the money back) If he wanted the money back he should of taken it then, then he and the club could have started from a positive position ie deano got his cash town didn't owe anyone So any outstanding monies earned would have been the clubs. We seem to be in a position of being royally fkd by people who claim to be fans. Just hope Colin can perform a Jesus type miracle coz I fear for us. Royally fucked by people who claim to be fans? Hes putting £100,000 a week into a club he doesnt even own to keep it functioning, and knowing in all likelihood he'll never see it again. And that is royally fucking 'us'....the fans who stump up our £250 a year?? the 'didnt expect the money back' line is so tired. Of course he didnt expect the money back! The only way the club would ever be able to pay him it back would be if we got to the prem,, and I dont know about you but I never expected that to happen either! If you give a fiver to a brassic mate so he can get something to eat,, but on top of the sandwich he also buys a scratch card and wins £1m...I think most people would probably expect the guy to repay you the fiver at least,,even if you weren't expected it back when you gave him it.! Didn't say he shouldn't have got it back, it's the timings, should of taken back once in prem, Should of sold to a person who could afford to take it on not his mate with some dodgy deal to strip the club of the life line which is the parachute payments they are their to support clubs going down with large wage bills etc not to pay director/owner loans, Should of sold last season but again gambled on getting to prem. He is putting money in to try and avoid a total loss.but reading the other posts other things he can't control seem to be messing it up The point about the fan paying 250 bit crass lots of fans pay a fortune watching town home and away, they won't get that back either and I bet as a percentage of income/wealth it works out to be a lot more. Maybe royally fking us was a bit OTT but decisions made have had huge consequences for everyone.

Do season card holders count as creditors - it’s a tempting offer if so 😉

Give it up slaps, you buy a business and then build it up and improve it you can expect to get a profit.
Take the same business to back to where you found it but with an added in big debt included you will be very lucky to get out with anything.
You really have taken the "entitled" thing to heart. Thats exactly whats happened isnt it.. except the profit line, he never wanted or attempted that. many fans dont seem happy to go along with that principle though. They think its his duty to them and the club to leave his money in the club as a gift and to continue pumping in much more of his money annually on top of that, whilst they continually abuse him about it not being enough and for mistakes hes made. he chose to get involved.. no one forced him.....and that apparently means the club ,according to some of its fans.. the poor suffering victims shall we call them,,, , are entitled to however much of his money it takes to make their hobby more enjoyable. and that he possesses a time machine to ensure he doesnt make any bad decisions. The fans all chose to get involved too...no one forced them either. Lets all pay double what we do so the club can buy a better player?? Yeah right, join the long queue for that one!
Think certain others have taken the entitled thing to heart.. its why they bitterly bring it up every other day. Nondescripts from down south choose to support Man U/Liverpool etc. Fans of clubs like ours don't need to make a decision, thats the difference between real and plastic supporters. Your constant reference to entitlement and childish behaviour is unfounded. Have you performed a survey outside the ground, maybe up on the plaza or Kingsgate to question what the fans would be willing to pay. The old saying "you get what you pay for" springs to mind but has a Town fan specifically stated to you that they are unwilling to pay anymore than £250 quid even if Dean spent £10m on a striker ? I would suggest not, and in fact, state that the average fan would be willing to pay more for a better product. Dean put the ticketing structure in place, not us and your contempt for the average football fan is misguided and baseless nonsense, yet you state it as fact. Whatever deal was concocted/engineered between Dean and Phil has massively hamstrung this club and talk of administration is an absolute disgrace. Accountability lays firmly at the top and whatever price a season ticket maybe has zero effect the club finds itself in at the moment.

Apparently, they are taking the work gullible out of the dictionary. I put gull able as in being able to support the gulls, you are not ible to support the gulls!!, I apologise to the dictionary corner of the forum, It wasn't meant to be a criticism.....just cracking a gag :-)

Maybe royally fking us was a bit OTT but decisions made have had huge consequences for everyone. Yeah decisions are everything in football. Take a look at every division, the clubs at the top have made good decisions, those at the bottom have made bad ones. You say he should have taken that money back once in the prem...well he didnt want to sell the club at that point...and can you imagine the uproar if we go up to the PL for the first time ever but then blow the opportunity to even try and stay up because the owner takes such a huge amount out of the club? Fans would have been apoplectic!! You seriously think £250 is a bigger percentage of fans wealth/ income than £30m is to Hoyle?? How much money do you think he has??!!

The difference being that whilst he doesn't (or didn't) expect to get his £30m back, we definitely won't get ours! (we perhaps also should be comparing the non returnable annual £250 from a fan to Dean's potentially returnable £5m or so of loans annually, if its apples v apples - whilst being mindful that over his tenure he's actually loaned the club about £2.5m per year).

So are we going into administration or what? Does such a move interest the American connection as a league one club.

I was just about to post this myself. I’m in no doubt this has been leaked to Nixon who has a relationship with someone at Town. This story has been put out there, smells of admin before next Thursday. I don’t believe that this mob would be best for us as a club, the Americans (never thought I’d say this) look a far more preferable choice for us as a club. 57 minutes later, the examiner posts this www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/az-alkmaar-huddersfield-town-talks-26450868.ampThis all in all is a terrible look for us. If you think going into admin is a good thing, just remember all those who are owed money. Think of the staff. Think of the football clubs image. The EFL will take a very dim view of the timing.

So by the sounds of it according to the examiner angle, we have to have a new owner by one week on Thursday to not have any points deducted next season. That seems a impossible timeline to me.

Actually starting to be beyond caring. My team I manage won today - I looked to see how we finished after, nothing went through my body seeing we lost like it used too. It used to ruin my whole weekend.
That starting eleven today was a joke.
