Merrie England? Seriously? You must have damaged taste buds. Over cooked, over priced shite. Dixon gets a thumbs up from me though! Marston- can't deny it isn't good. But hugely over hyped. I think its the suit of armour that did it. Also childhood memories, we weren't allowed ham at home (too expensive, only tongue 🤮), Merrie England was a once a month treat.

Ah, happy to stand corrected. The ones I saw were of an American lad. He goes to all different games. He did do a town game at the JSS too. Went by the name 'American Soccer Fan' ironically his Facebook page is of a town shirt too! Oh aye, I remember him doing a video at Town, now

Having eaten plenty of chicken in the US im not sure marstons will greatly impress. Would have to be a sunday beef and yorkshires, but I dont even know anywhere in huddersfield that does a good one.. A friend of a friend who's in the US Air Force based at Mildenhall tried Marstons a few years ago and was quite impressed... though he may have just been being diplomatic.

What about the players ? What part of Sacramento are you from ? What would you like to know about the players? And I grew up in Fair Oaks and Carmichael, live in Roseville now. The question you were asked ..did you think there were any that could potentially make the move here?

Wasn't he a Kiwi? Do you mean the bearded lad that did a few videos? Ah, happy to stand corrected. Speaking of NZ, wait til the OP hears the tale of that bloke who came on here trying to raise money to fly to NZ to see his dying father...

Seeing we are talking about ice cream anybody remember Caddys shop in Dewsbury? It was a real treat when we were kids, fantastic ice cream! Remember it well. Just behind the old bus station. My granny used to take me there and I'd have vanilla ice cream in lemonade. Outstanding.

My granny used to take me there and I'd have vanilla ice cream in lemonade. Outstanding. Exactly the same for me too. My memory of it is identical to yours, that’s what we’d always have, vanilla ice cream in lemonade. Then my dear beloved grandma would treat my brother, my sister and myself to a little toy, like a farm animal or zoo animal from the store next door. The 1960’s…… magical.

Also seem to remember Crossleys ice-cream I think it was had a strange sort of shop down one of the backstreets in Ravensthorpe

Oh and on the subjects of ice-cream and of beer, Magic Rocks 'Dairyfreak' milk ice porter, collaboration with Dixon's is a lovely pint especially on cask.

There's some beautiful scenery in the Huddersfield area & if you're into your English literature, the Bronte sisters were very close by near Keighley.

Dixons isn't what it used to be. The Ice-cream here compared to almost anywhere (I've been) in Europe is of a poor standard.

The only problem was telling people that your mum had given you a tongue sandwich and then having to explain that it was not a euphemism.
