Far as I can make out, so long as we beat Reading last day, we'll stay up, even if we lose the other two games. Exactly so towns next two games v Cardiff and Sheff utd are more or less free hits with nothing to loose PROVIDING town beat Reading. Warnock needs to set the team up same as v Boro and Sunderland as that of atack attack attack attack attack Big ask for Bllackpools GD but who knows

They'd have to make up a few goals by beating Millwall home and Norwich away. Possible, but highly unlikely. To be honest if we get relegated from this position we can only blame ourselves. 3 very winnable games to go... 2 wins guarentees it,,,, a win and draw will almost certainly do it,, and one win will probably be enough, almost definitely if its the Reading game.

Wigan winning all of a sudden gives Reading another hard game next week.
QPR is a shocker but Cardiff and Rotherham not beating teams with nothing to play for means a winner in their game next week gives us another potential “out”

It's in our own hands now!!
We are more than capable of beating all the teams we have yet to play
Why we should fear playing the blades at our place on a Thursday night under the lights with 24k in the ground is beyond me
A playoff atmosphere with only one team having anything left to play for...
Can't wait

One more win and Wigan and Blackpool can't catch us barring a big goal difference swing.
If Wigan beat Reading next week then one more win and we are all but safe!🤞

Pool and Wigan have bad goal difference
We now have 3 bites of the cherry 🍒
Worst case scenario now is we have to win reading to stay up
Nothing else left yo bite us on the arse

Not the best results today, but we're out of the bottom 3 with a game in hand. We can't grumble at that when you look at what our position was 6 weeks ago.
We need to get something from Cardiff now though.

I would prefer to get the job done at Cardiff. Last day shoot-out will be unbearable. Thinking back to that Birmingham game.

Does everyone else Rotherham to win against Cardiff then? I think keeping Cardiff within touching distance is massive, and keeps the fight in our hands.
We are in good enough form not to need to rely on results elsewhere, and even after 2 rounds of somewhat unfavourable results in matchdays where we've not played, we're still outside the bottom 3.
Got one eye on Sheff United today, doesn't look like they'll beat Man City but it'd be nice to have them thoroughly distracted by an FA Cup final when we play them!

Rotherham v Cardiff. Difficult to call but don’t want a draw. Perhaps a Rotherham win would panic Cardiff a bit!

We are actually in a pretty good place compared to dinnertime today, never mind a month or so ago. See my post, a Reading win today and QPR loss would have been worse I think. Better this way for Warnock to plan the final escape path. Believe!

Not too bad for me - today's results.
Imperative Reading didn't win, they lost, even better.
QPR will pick up a few more points I think.
Now we have our Blades game in hand (hopefully promoted), and a trip before to a nervy Cardiff City.
Back to Reading - they have Wigan still in with a shout courtesy of a win today and us. So with all the permutations we still have the insurance of knowing a win at home to them keeps us up, and 2 more games prior to that to ensure it doesn't come down to that all or nothing shootout.
PS * assuming Blackpool don't win up to reach 47 pts and make up a gd of 6 on us *

Anyway, after all that's been said, I do love a good relegation scrap, but preferably without us being involved!

If Cardiff better (or equal in reality) Readings points in their next game, they will be safe when we play them.

As long as there’s a win for either side of the Cardiff V Rotherham game it’s in our hands regardless with one of them. If they draw we’d likely struggle to over turn their goal difference.

Ironically all them years ago we played Reading to get out of this league, this time it could be the winner stay's in.

And strangely we played Sheffield United to get into this league, even more years ago. Same result in our last two matches and we're sorted, maybe a ref will even give us a penalty!

This must be a first as it's quite feasible that come game 46 no one has actually been relegated yet. Blackpool beat Millwall on 28th, Wigan v Reading is draw on 29th..and the earlier game on 27th Rotherham v Cardiff is a draw...so come the 30th when we play Cardiff we could be looking at
Rotherham U..47pts Cardiff City 47 QPR..........47 Town.........44 Reading......44 Blackpool....44 Wigan........41

Wigan’s goal different is horrific though so that game won’t end up a draw. If it is level late on they’ll be throwing bodies forward.
