Wasnt it these goons who said our victory over Middlesborough was the biggest shock result ever in the history of the championship...or something like it.

All if and buts obviously, I reckon if we’re still out of the bottom 3 after this weekend then we’ll be ok. I’ll certainly be putting a double on QPR and Reading on Saturday to soften the blow if they both win. 1 win will do it I reckon.

Are you sure, i thought he'd left to join QPR of his own accord, the lure of managing his old club was too much, or do you mean he'd been previously sacked by Wycombe. Sorry, it was just a crap joke. Hopefully he continues to do a bloody awful job at QPR for the rest of this season though 🤞.

Town are safe IMO, got ourselves to that its our hands position, glass 100% full and starting to leak down the sides, no game this weekend so nervy moments, would rather have a game alongside the other teams, nowt can do though unfortunately, last night panned out decent in the end, have to hope for the same scenario this weekend☺☺

Dont know how anyone can think we are already safe. We may end up being safe if we put some more points on the board but we are one point outside the relegation zone not 6. Our current points tally is unlikely to keep us up because the teams below us would have to get zero points. Two draws for the teams below us this weekend and we are level on points with 22nd albeit with one game in hand. It IS in our hands and I do believe and hope we will stay up but with 9 points to play for it is not over for anyone mathematically and while I think the bottom two are probably settled, 22nd place is not.

I reckon this is worth a share www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/huddersfield-town-dressing-room-warnock-26741727Rudoni on what Warnock has brought. It's high praise. Genuinely struggling to think of anyone else who could've made as much of a difference than Neil Warnock. Whatever happens from this point I think he's done a great job to get us back amongst the pack. We looked dead. It certainly would a big achievement if he managed it. The improvement and difference this last 6 games has been vast.

As we saw last night things change minute by minute (never mind game by game). Cardiff were losing and won and both Reading & QPR drew at home after being 1.0 up. At one stage we were in the bottom 3. QPR last 3 games are Burnley, Stoke away and Bristol City at home. I really cannot see them getting more than 3/4 points from them. Importantly by the time we play Cardiff they will have 1 game left, we will have 3.

If goes to the last game i won’t fancy us.
What would be a fantastic night and where i would be confident is if 3 points against Sheff United kept us up.

I would love a Huddersfield Town Tartan ! - Not sure how well it’d sell tho... 😉 Maybe I should politely ask Luke Cowan and the team to design one of the future away tops in ‘Huddy Tartan’ - or perhaps a one off charity one... We do have St. Andrews Road near the stadium and some fans up here so there is a connection there - 🏴 I’ve found one that would do as an HTAFC tartan and it is in the centre below, straddled by ma late daddy’s tartan on the left and ma wee maw’s one on the right !!! This weekend will be very interesting.
BIrmingham/Blackpool Bristol City/Rotherham Burnley/QPR Cardiff/Stoke Reading/Coventry Wigan/Millwall
Think Blackpool and Wigan are both down honestly. Wigan can't mathematically catch us if they lose another game (or draw 2). Blackpool also need to win 2 of their games to mathmatically catch us - Assuming we get nothing from our fixtures. I really can't see either team catching us at all.
If Rotherham pick up a win, then they'll comfortably pull away. A draw would put them 3 ahead of us, with a much better goal difference. A loss however will keep them in the mix, albeit in an alright position. Think it's a matter of when and not if they will be safe honestly
I think I'm in the majority in thinking the final relegation spot (joining Blackpool and Wigan) will come down to either Cardiff, QPR, Reading or us. Cardiff in a similar position to Rotherham in that a win will see them pull away and increase the gap between us to 4 points. Remember that Cardiff and Rotherham currently have an extra game than us as well. A draw wouldn't be the worst result for them and a loss would then make it brown trouser time for them, knowing they also have to play us (in that, it's a 6 point relegation game). They also play Rotherham mid week before they play us.
Really hoping Burnley show up against QPR. They seem to have a slight wobble at the minute, and a surprise result of a QPR win could potentially be disastrous for us. We just need to match QPRs results for the rest of the season given our GD is better.
Reading, I think will be alright. Their team is better than their position shows (due to 6 points being taken off). They'd be all but safe if it wasn't for that deduction. If it comes down to us or them on the final day, that would be extremely uncomfortable. They also play Wigan, and would be confident in getting points from them.
Whatever happens, no matter what the twist in the tale is, the picture will become somewhat clearer by the end of the weekend. Someone is bound to pick up points, but who and how many?

Honestly, I'm expecting us to be in the bottom 3 going into the last game of the season.
With that in mind there's nobody I'd rather have at the helm than Neil Warnock.
Even if we do go down though (and I still wouldn't bet much against it) the fact we'll have gone down fighting rather than meekly as we looked to be pre-Warnock counts for a hell of a lot in my book.

Looking at the fixtures I can’t see anything other than a final day fight out
I guess after the Wigan away catastrophe I would have bitten your hand off for that as I was convinced we were doomed that afternoon

Hoping that Sheff Utd gain promotion before we play them, if so, I'm absolutely confident of at least a point against them. Warnock has a great record against them and their fans love him !

It would be good if QPR were to continue to get the same results as we got - biggish defeat at home to Coventry, 1-1 draw at home to Norwich...followed, hopefully, by the same results we got against Burnley away, Stoke away and Bristol City at home. One point needed to finish above them. I know that all three opponents might not be trying as hard as they did against us (although, come to think of it, how hard did Stoke and Burnley have to try?). Same results for Reading as well, lose at Coventry and at home to Wigan. We lost all five equivalent matches.

Aye, Town's own pitch invasion against Luton exasperated things too with that old boy having a coin chucked at his face. I noticed Leyton Orient fans invaded the pitch at Gillingham this week after they were promoted, it's a funny one because sky camera's and commentators were saying what great scenes it was, camera focusing on the fans on the pitch etc. But then they banged on last season condemning it, banged on about how dangerous it was for days. Town got hit with a 50k fine last season for the Luton game. I saw pitch invading as a right of passage as an early teenager and an end of season tradition. As sad as it looks when you get older, I don't really mind a pitch invasion as long as fans behave themselves, cut out the goading of opposition fans/players and once they're on the grass, clear off the pitch in decent time afterwards. Unfortunately it's a minority that spoil things.

There's a few times I'd accepted we were down and the last game of the season would be a dead rubber. Had we not brought Neil Warnock in, I suspect we'd already be mathematically relegated.

The EFL don't like Huddersfield Town..they hated us getting into the PL, gave that dodgy pen at WBA, had a pop at us for fielding a 'weakened' team at Birmingham (but quiet about Burnley), fined us for the Luton pitch invasion, made sure we didn't get back to PL against Forest, duffed us up with hawkeye ref and would love to dock us points this season if we invade the pitch against Reading.. 'small' clubs like us who dare to over achieve are quickly put back in their place.. or maybe I just have a persecution complex.?

Reading FC have sold out initial allocation of 1210 from Town in 2 hours yesterday & expect the extra 1126 to sell just as quickly, the Royals fans usually don themselves out in fancy dress & hundreds of inflatables on the last away fixture......might be a few teary 'oompa loompas' about at around 5pm.

After the FA Cup semi final Sheffield United have 2 home games, 26th v WBA and 29th v Preston, before they come to ours on 4th May..they need just 2 points to secure promotion but if Luton v Boro (on 24th) ends up as a draw, United are promoted before they play on 26th..albeit subject to goal difference..
