The Reading game will be my last home game for some time to come as eventually over the summer I'm relocating to the deep south west. I've never created a match day thread so although it's rather premature I thought I'd make one. My last day at current employer today, been here just short of 35 years. Where does the time go eh?

Don't be asking for a stream whilst you're down there

As has been posted elsewhere, I hope Town fans show some class and owe Reading fans some respect. We have no axe to grind with Reading.
Not an easy day for them, travelling all that way in sold out numbers for literally nothing.

Play without the spectre hanging over us?
Win the game simply because its there to win.
End on a high after a difficult season with hope of better things to come.
See Neil and Ronnie off with a win.
UTT..

Yes more than a dead game. Chance to end on a high and say thanks for a near miracle.

UTT.. Seriously should be a full house. Anyone who remotely supports us should be turning up. I’ve just been shared the league standings on the 8th of march. Chuff me. I’d stopped looking it up we were so bad. I’m not a fan of NW but he really has worked a miracle and deserves a tremendous send off

Best of luck in your relocation to (I assume) Cornwall. I’m sure you’ll love it. A friend of mine moved to St. Teath, near Port Isaac where the marvellous Doc Martin was filmed and he and his wife love it. We had a little cottage near Sidmouth in east Devon for years, There are some magical non-league grounds down there if you need your football fun, though I can highly recommend Exeter City of course, a fantastic little club. Rugby is king in Cornwall though.

I’d love us to survive if Reading had had their points deduction or not. Truly staying up through our own graft. So yeah, shackles off. Go out and express ourselves. Finish on 53 points.

I'm moving in with my finacee then at some point, probably after we get married, we will then find somewhere new together but it will be roughly around that area as two of her kids have settled there and now have children of their own. She currently lives a walkable distance from Plainmoor, I saw Torquay at home on boxing day. If I've moved in time and the fixtures work out I could possibly see Town at Plymouth next season.

Didn't you have another name before Walton? If I remember right you seem to be moving ever further away from Town. Missus trying to tell you something?

Hope we show Reading fans respect. Think we will find it hard to motivate ourselves after the emotions of the last two games - extra fixture midweek makes it tough. So quite possibly a defeat but irrelevant compared with the bigger picture.

Would like to see one or two of the young lads start - maybe Bilo in net, although the priority should be winning the game and keep the feel good factor into next season.
Think Harratt has earned a start.

Bumped into a town fan at local coop this morning who was in Spoons at Cardiff last weekend. Seen him quite a few times. Didn’t go last night as he thought we would loose and doesn’t see the point in going Monday now we are safe!

Grow a pair and support your team. End of the day they missed out.

Didn’t go last night as he thought we would loose and doesn’t see the point in going Monday now we are safe! Each to their own but my view: Yesterday from waking up I felt sick, nerves. The first half was a hard watch. But the feelings in injury time when we knew we were going to be safe were absolutely brilliant. Monday now becomes a stress free enjoyable day in which we can give Warnock the send off he deserves. Wouldn’t miss it for the world!

Exactly this, the last 10 minutes at Cardiff were torture. I was increasingly tense from Monday onwards. But the feeling at the end of both games, especially last night. And sharing those moments with my 2 lads brings it home why following a team is like nothing else. To properly appreciate the highs you have to experience the lows, however just a mid-tale finish at least once in 15 years would be ok by me.

I want to remain above QPR, Rotherham and Cardiff.. I hope the gaffer and the squad feel the same. Winning some pride back and then continuing to show it, is what I would be looking for in my squad for next year. Who we play on Monday is immaterial, I want to go and see us play, its what I pay for. I understand the approach of much of this season and especially Neils way, but Monday can be different.

Looking forward to watching town with no stress involved. Final game of the season and the final game of an era. Wonder if KN will be there?

Just round the corner from Sugy, last saw him at Plainmoor when Town played, for all his faults he’s been a cracking Town fan for the 40 years since we used to travel to the lower league away games in the 70s.

Even though its a dead rubber i still want to win, i want town to win every match we play, but if we lose so what its job already done and mission accomplished, for the first time in months we can watch a town game with no stress.
