Could be worse, we could have the moral compass of Getafe

How have we a worse squad than last season. I didn't even think that was possible How do so called professional staff at a football club not see it?

Remember when the club was telling fans they need to be patient, best men on the job etc. To me it felt quite patronising at the time given the shockers we’ve witnessed recently. Yet again fan concerns seem to be spot on. It’s the same fans that also said: Trust in Dean - he’d never harm the club. Phil is decent, came across well at the Q&A. Fotheringham seems like a top coach, those YouTube open training sessions look class, love his passion. Kev will get it right, loads of time left in the window, stop being drama Queens, it’s FFP holding us back. Anyone with a brain can see the car crash that is awaiting (edit: has already unfolded) but just like the hierarchy at the club, we are obliviously marching into league 1, high off the fumes of naivety and blind faith that everything will be ok and that we have a decent team. Nagle obviously doesn’t have any intention to fund us and Dean is probably laughing his bollocks off at his final ‘fuck you’ to the fans.

Most teams have signed players, we don’t and won’t know if they have strengthened till later in the season. We have two new players, yes we are light in the experience department but I’m not concerned , Warnocks a good manager we have been playing reasonably well, just see how it runs, no drama queening from me. Sometimes the drama queens are right to panic, and I think after last year they have a right to and will ultimately be proven correct in this instance “Panic” it’s football , get a grip.

Do you actually think Warnock will stick around to get a relegation on his CV? When at his age he can go relax in Cornwall, tell stories and if he fancies swoop in and rescue a team in February? After his comments this week and the lack of any incomings, I can't see any way in which he stays. I'd say now his position untenable..... unless something has happened late on.

I’m looking forward to the Examiner article tomorrow/Monday “Free Agents available” and going down the list of random unfit, old, injured strikers who’ve not scored a goal in 18 months.
Could Niasse or Sanogo do a job, anyone?😂

Time to try a 4 4 focking 2. What do we have to lose? Do we have enough strikers to play 442?

Could be worse, we could have the moral compass of Getafe I would have been happy with Greenwood and Evans at this stage.

Window closed. Well, where are we now then….January can’t come soon enough, or are we going to be OK? What makes you think that January will be any different to this window? Pray we will be OK but I don't expect that we will be. I don’t, sadly, but I do hope we have strong double figure points kn the board by then. 🤞🏼

Could be worse, we could have the moral compass of Getafe David Goodwillie is available. Whilst greenwood should probably be in prison the fact he isn’t he should be allowed to redeem and rehabilitate, controversial I know this… he will get the same level of abuse in Spain for his skin colour anyway from some fans! (Whilst playing)

What is absolutely imperative now is that Warnock stays.

Well, we just made staying up a whole lot more difficult for ourselves. Love to know who’s scoring the goals for us this season. There’s always next summer of course.

On the Greenwood stuff, Gazza is still seen by many as a legend yet whilst I can’t recall rape being called he did undoubtedly beat his wife black and blue!

Maybe Nagle secretly hoped he'd be buying a L1 club or more likely, completely under estimated the cost of running a Championship club. The perils of agreeing to buy a club in 10 days. Said to my mate it reminds me of when Davy told Jacko he could have £75k to go get the players to ensure we went up, cos £75k would, at the time buy a world class rugby player. He didn't realise we'd struggle to get someone from the Conference for that.

Sorry, just because he is home grown shouldn't remove him from criticism. Sure he is a lovely lad but is so limited football wise is so clear. He is absolutely crap. Nowhere near championship level. Glad he has gone. It is the other way round here. Home grown players get away with nothing. It's like some fans go to the game already angry at High etc. for being home grown and wanting them to fail. Going to the game already angry at him is such a perfect description. I agree completely with Warnock's comments too. I think High suffered with fans initially due to breaking into the team during that big losing streak in Corberan's first season. He earned his middle name 'fucking' because of frustration at our lack of squad options in midfield I seem to remember. And the single syllable last name. There were much worse offenders that season. The following season he was in the starting lineup throughout the period where we just started to look like promotion contenders. It kicked off among the fans when he had a really, really bad substitute appearance at home to Swansea (out of position I might add, and during an overall terrible second half performance from the team). And since then it's got worse with each passing 6/10 performance. A bit like how an injured or out of favour player gets better in our eyes every passing week he doesn't play, High is perceived as being terrible on account of being persistently average without improving much. He's not a fantastic player (yet, still only 22), but he'd shine more in a possession based side, and I don't think his development has been managed well.
