Swear that Joao has scored in every game against us?
I’d have him if wages was right.

He might be 37 but he will still score more than ward 🤔 He will do a season for us no problem Why don't you say peoples name, instead of that lad from Can just see the headline on Sky Sports News. “ Huddersfield sign Lad from Sheffield” Suppose if we sign someone from London “ Geezer signs for Huddersfield “

Potential free transfer targets: Defenders Reggie Cannon Ryan Nyambe Wes Harding Sam Byram Fankaty Dabo Ciaran Clark Midfielders Sam Clucas Junior Stanislas Bradley Dack Josh Onomah Adam Forshaw Jack Colback Forwards Britt Assombalonga Andre Ayew Lucas Joao Benik Afobe would take Clucas in a heartbeat. Would give Stanislas a year too. A really, really good bloke and a decent player

Swear that Joao has scored in every game against us? I’d have him if wages was right. Scored in 4 out of 10 games (6 goals) with 1 assist. One of those seasons, we accounted for 30% of his total goal tally all season (2).

Wed have a horrible history of signing strikers who looked good against us that could not score against anyone else.

Unbelievable, Geoff! Was sold for about half that 12 months later. A prime Clucas wouldn’t be worth anywhere near that even in todays market.

Clucas has been very poor in his lengthy spell at Stoke. Not sure if he has the motivation to get back to the player he was.

Still got some left in the tank at this level, and he's a possible 20 goals a season with decent service and a good run of fitness.

Looks a decent team does that! Ah, the traditional 6-6-4 formation ! Team I said Team. Not starting 11. I reckon they would do alright on a Sunday morning if they all turned up after the Saturday night piss up 😉

No Tony Agana - he is only 59... Caught up with Tony at the Sheff U v Town game last season. Still looks as fit as a butchers dog. Lovely fella. Pre Warnock coming in and I was asking him what he thought of his old style management. He reminded me that Warnock signed him for the blunts and that ‘everybody knew where they stood and what was expected of them when Neil was manager’ Dave Bassett signed Tony Agana a decade before Warnock became Sheff Utd manager. 🤥😂

So you're saying he'd need to go to a club with a manager who knows how to motivate players? See what you did there 😉 More the fact, that he doesn't strike me as a player who has a real desire to get back to what he was. Similar to Tom Ince. Both know they aren't good enough for top level, have earned well and are probably happy to cruise along in their careers.

This is a complete joke now. We are 1 of only 2 sides in the championship not to have made a signing. Even the twats down the road have just signed ethan ampadu

I know we need back up but a front three of josh sorba and rudoni (behind ward/new striker) firing on all cylinders has the potential to be formidable

I’m excited to see how warnock utilises sorba. Play to his strengths (warnock trait) and I think he’ll do more than the first half of 21/22 season. He’s going to want to kick on in his career and warnock will have had a word and at this point in his career he is the best manager at this level to get him back on track

dezzly: BruceLee (if I'm remembering right) is almost as negative in his/her posts as cowshed1992. If I'm remembering the wrong poster I apologise.

I have no idea if we are still looking at him but Jesse Debrah from Halifax who we have been linked with for the past 18 months has left the Shaymen today

With the right new striker this could be a potent force. It could also be dog shit. That's why nicovaesen used the word "potential"
