Seven goals in 49 appearance, six of which came in League 2 suggests it’s very much wishful thinking on your part. Was it you who suggested no one else in the club could have scored that goal against Watford? Remember being bewildered reading that comment at the time. Apologies if it wasn’t you. It was me that made the comment and I stand by it. The finish for the actual goal was something Rhodes would have done in his prime, but not any longer. He set the move going from just inside the Watford half, taking the defender out of the game, laying the ball off and then making the run into the box to finish at the front post. Not sure who else you think we've got who could have done all that? I agree 100% with this post. The finish was clever but others could have converted, it was the intelligent run he made after laying the ball off initially that, for me, meant noone else in the team could have been in the position to put the ball in the net. He was out near the touchline, moved then towards the far post before cutting back to finish at the near post. It took intelligence & speed to get there, a proper strikers goal. |

Still Summer, still have an open transfer, recruitment window.  ? Keeper was needed and we have a decent one. Not sure that bringing a keeper in either stops or interferes with further recruitment of outfield players?? Maybe dont recruit anyone until the striker is landed??? Highly counter intuitive at best??🤪 just reminded me why i blocked Townrwe, i do think that name deserves a ? at the end. |

Understand the concern, but it is not the worst thing for us to have shifted on realistically our third-choice keeper. We've received a small fee, with what you'd hope is a large sell-on fee.
He would have got very little minutes if he stayed with us, and this is a chance for him to establish himself and kick on somewhere he will get starts.

Seems fine, strengthened the match day squad, given an academy player a better chance to progress and made sure we get a payout if he, as I hope he will, becomes a star, what’s not to like?

The disappointment aside, at least we’re actually making some cash out of our academy’s players rather than just nursing them onto other clubs. That’s the model. He’s talented, but he doesn’t have a pathway at the moment as long as we can keep our resolve and keep Nicholls. We have two more internationals to take his place in which we have reviewed and place our trust.
