I'm not sure the reality of Valery is necessarily as impressive as his CV might suggest... saintlyterrier & son can probably provide some insight. Just discussed this rumour with son. We agree that he would be far better suited to being a wing-back, rather than as a full back. His significant limitation is that he (at least when playing for Saints) would get caught too far upfield and a lofted ball to the left wing would cause him problems. He could be taught how to avoid that, I guess, and the quality of opposing players will be lower in the Championship. His attributes are that he is very good offensively, and is a good crosser and passer. He's even scored the odd spectacular goal. He would, on balance, be an asset to the team. I hope that helps.

Latest from Nixon:
Tyreece Simpson could be the next player to leave Huddersfield - with Northampton keen to sign him.
Simpson has not had the happiest time since joining the Terriers and Neil Warnock will let him go out.
Huddersfield are willing to loan Simpson and the Cobblers hope to win the race for his signature.

Would any French team want to do business with Cardiff after they tried getting out of paying for the Argentinian lad 🤔 Whereas we probably have a reputation for spending stupid money on garbage. I don't know what the French is for ker-ching, but that's probably what they're thinking..... Little do they know, heh heh heh. Knowing what l'academie française is like, probably something convoluted like "je gagne beaucoup de livre, parce-que un idiote anglais achêtez mon merde" Apologies to any of my high school French teachers, in the unlikely event that any of them are (a) still alive, and (b) reading this.

I know, I know he’s not a starting XI player but we really seem to be short in back up now. They must know what they’re doing and be confident of getting a few players in to replace the outgoings. I’ll feel better when this happens! Nice to see some rumours picking up now (Yan)

signing someone who isn’t free😳🤯 Are Cardiff out of their transfer embargo now? I saw they’d paid a couple of the outstanding instalments for Sala the other week.

I'd rather he left on loan than permanent so it looks a good move if it comes off.

Never understood why folk thought he was ever going to see the first team last season.was always one we would try develop.

Tyreece would be wise to rethink his career again... Maybe sign for the Giants?

I half remembered "livres" as meaning money as well as books... now recall that the French call British pounds "livres", so I wasn't completely wrong at least. Should've said "argent" really though. I don't think he played against Stockport, and when Rhodes (widely rumoured to be leaving) makes the bench albeit not on the pitch then unless there is a niggle (which as far as i know hasn't been mentioned) then it gives you a fairly good indication of the pecking order.

Imagine that after dropping out of the greedy league #itsayorkshirething 😁 I don’t particularly enjoy defending Leeds but those two poundshop NTT20 guys don’t have a clue what they’re talking about. The majority of those leaving are on loan, not permanent deals just yet.

Sounds like they are bringing in some decent loan fees, getting wages off the books and then planning on bringing them back once promoted. The last bit is not so straight forward though.

He was always signed for his potential, not as a ready-to-go signing. It's not a great moment for him but time is still on his side. He's only a few months older than Kian Harratt. He's younger than Jaheim Headley. Expecting too much of kids is our failing, not the club's. Writing them off when they fail to light up the stadium immediately is another.

Yes to be fair they actually signed decent players who are now sought after by other clubs, its not a Sobhi/Mbenza/Diakhaby/Kongolo/Flo/Bacuna situation unfortunately.

I liked the look of Simpson, I'm guessing he is maybe one of the ones who didn't impress in Cornwall though? NW doesn't like passengers does he, wonder if it's based on ability or attitude with Simpson, he looked to me like he could have been a real hand full when fully fit.

Do you think Warnock has turned around and said that with the current wage structure, we won't be able to buy/attract a striker? Warnock did already mention that he couldn't reach a strikers wage demands that he wanted at the club.
I'm assuming that the HTAFCs FFP plan won't outline of maximum wage for a player, just the total amount we plan to spend on wages as a proportion of revenue?
