Copy and pasting something that I posted a couple of weeks ago:
The way I see it, in the short amount of time heās hadā¦ weāve cleared out the deadwood, signed Warnock/Jepson on for another season, got a new DoF and CEO, signed a Ā£1.5-Ā£2m midfielder, made a few other signings and had current players sign contracts, started making improvements in and around the ground for fan experience, bought memorabilia to give back to the club, donated thousands to charities that heās been asked to by town fans, did a Q&A in which he went down very well with the fans (short memories), has invested to help the womenās team. ADDED - Wetherall & Notarfrancesco appointments, and the fact that we are playing well showing that the squad is capable.
I donāt know if heās spelled out a long term plan but by the sounds of itā¦ bring in more money through commercial ventures and increase value to fans so we spend more money with the club = spend more money on wages and players. Re-introduce the academy as another form of bringing in more income and offering a club to local talented footballers. Another way of bringing in more money if done correctly, obviously very long term. Create a winning culture at the club.
How anyone can judge him now is beyond me. He needs to be given time or else weāll just end up in our usual spiral.

Had he come in and splashed Ā£20m on the playing squad weād be in administration again within a year, and the foundations of the club would still be shite. Building upwards is not a bad thing.

It is - but how many times have we the fans been ākept in the darkā ? Thought we were a community club ? A club for the fans ? Whatās his goal ? He gave it billy big Bollox when he came in - now he is quiet. Warnock found him out ? Is that why Warnock is leaving ? Time will tell but more questions than answers. |

Will know more once the Warnock replacement is announced. An ambitious appointment is required really.
At the minute for all the noise little has changed, we still have instability in terms of the management, little money invested and didnāt recruit well enough in the window.

A new group of people need time, but their first job was above all was to sort out a striker. So all we can judge him on is the window. |

Depends how you look at things - Harris put a good post together on things you could view as positive. Iām still in the too early to judge camp, I think he comes across well with good intentions but also a few things a bit concerning. That being said, heāll be learning, as would anyone running a football club/business. āFansā already gunning for him are pathetic, in my opinion. |

Iām not sure. Accepted the lower budget despite being a billionaire? Tweeted for āAmericaā until his criticism of the team - picked up by a disappointed Warnock. Did he make promises to Warnock about the transfer budget. Letās be honest - for a man with the money and running a football club - surely itās fairly easier to have clarity on what the budget is ? Warnock appointed. Back room staff changed - Warnockās men in - now he is off ? Not a good start in my opinion. Why the new thread?. There is already one. Attention seeker (again). |

As I have posted before the mistake I think Mr Nagle, and his team, have made is not reading the room or taking at face value what they were told (about the fans, their expectations and mood).
The previous regime chose to adopt a bunker mentality and offer minimum communication in the final couple of seasons. Why? I don't know know and there's little point speculating. I however make the point to support my opinion that the views of the fans has been largely ignored in the recent past. I wonder if Mr Nagle was told all the, undoubted, positives of Town's fanbase but omitted to mention the underlying disappointment of recent seasons ie struggling after leaving the Premier League and, apparently being unable to build on the one good season we had.
I do think, either overtly or passively, many have significant frustrations and this hasn't been identified as being important to Mr Nagle.
In the immediate term we don't know what tomorrow will bring but many will be listening intently to what is said, and how it is said.
I don't think there is a "time bomb ticking " but I do think many are tired of what seems to be a never ending pantomime at Town.
A few folk getting airreated on social media isn't the issue. It is those who might say "sod this, I'll find something better to do " that the club need to reach out to.
Speaking to fans about toilets, pa systems and pies is all very well but we all want our football team to progress. I just hope that someone really gets the mood and starts communicating more pointedly. There are perfectly reasonable questions that need answers, the first being "why was this season's budget set so low" (noting there maybe a good reason)?
Mr Nagle may well have a long-term strategy that will deliver success but right now, given the background I have outlined, he needs to check on how the fans feel and why they feel that way.
We desperately need stability and everyone pulling together. At the moment we seem massively incapable of achieving that.
