I like USL but it is not comparable to any division of the EFL. I'd have it at or right below national league standard. I also found the link on average USL wages to be off. When we had a USL team in Cincinnati, we had the highest wage bill in the league and all but 2 or 3 players worked part time jobs in the offseason to make ends meet. I don't think you've watched the trash in league two then have you??? Sacramento beat Mls side San Jose and was a close match against Seattle Sounders. So to suggest they couldn't even play in the EFL is silly really. Yeah some players in the league are bad. But some are very very good. Sacs LB started at Barcelona as a kid Phillips at Everton Roro Lopez played in the MLS as have some others. Be nice to see Nagle bring them over for a tour of the UK. Friendly against town π

Another defeat & down to third now with the top two left to play at home & four away remaining this season, Kieran Phillips put Sac 1-0 up inside 10 minutes but Las Vegas equalised on the half hour mark.
KP was subbed on 54 mins & the home sides winner came shortly after on the 71st minute.......Not a great start to his seventieth year this week for KN, maybe try your luck down the Vegas strip Kev.

Yes, I have watched league two and do so fairly regularly. I also watch the USL and MLS regularly (and have a family member that worked on the footballing side for a top USL side for a few years). So silly really (your expression) to act like I don't have a clue when you are out of your depth. MLS teams lose to USL teams each year because MLS teams are incredibly top heavy which is a function of their convoluted rules which limit investment in the entire team at the benefit of the top end. These rules are very unique and unlike what exists in any league worldwide ( link). Comparing wins in cup matches (where MLS teams tend to rest all their top end players) to any other league/pyramid is a fool's errand. I don't understand the caring about pedigree. I have some swamp land to sell you if you think Phillips is anywhere near Everton level. I watched Justin Hoyte who came through the Arsenal academy and played games in the EPL for Arsenal (as well as 2 other clubs). By the time he made his way to USL he was off the back of a middling year year in League Two and instantly became a top defender in the league. Then he switched to MLS and had to play for a poor side and was found out week after week. Those leagues are miles apart and very few players can make the transition between USL and valuable contributor in MLS.

But he was the captain of his age group when he was there. But when town fans rate Harratt and Hudlin over Phillips is laughable. Harratt or Hudlins not scored a goal yet in league 2 this season. And if either of those two went to Sacramento they wouldn't have the same amount of goals. And Seattle did rest some players but only on the bench who they brought on they still played Ruidiaz and Morriss in the game. Both international players

Smashed top of the table New Mexico 4-0 a few hours ago to move back to 2nd place & put the title on hold for them, Sac were 3-0 up on the hour when on loan Phillips was introduced from the bench who then took less than 10 mins to add the 4th.......After 3 defeats from the last four it was a much needed lift for Sac, can KN other lot do the same in the UK tomorrow?

Kieran Phillips loan officially ends on the 31st Oct although with Sac in the play offs you would expect it to be extended till they are knocked out or after the final should they reach it.
KR bagged his fifteenth of the season in another defeat (2-1) this morning which leaves a home tie in the play offs still in doubt......Last game of the regular season next Saturday at home to Colorado Springs, a loss could see Sac drop to fifth coupled with a Memphis win, meaning an away fixture in the play offs.

Shame he never got a chance Unfortunately just too many injuries. I think the club did want to give him every chance. He was in the squad a few times under CC in the 20/21 season. Then each time he's gone on loan in the EFL it's been cut short by injury. It'll be interesting to see what happens with him. I think there'll be a number of L1 & L2 clubs interested in taking him on loan in January. If he could stay injury free for the rest of the season and score a good few goals, he may just get another contract. 7 goals in 28 games in League 1

Exactly what has just happened a few hours ago (KP subbed on 62 mins in 1-0 loss), it means Sac travel to Las Vegas (lost to twice in RS) on Friday night in the play offs........Two knockout games in the space of a few hours for the owner to endure next Friday, happy Halloween Kev.

KN getting a LOT of stick on the Sac twitter. People calling for him to walk and to sell the club if he ''cba with Sacramento now he has his new play thing'' and that Carmichael hasn't done any coverage on Sacramento since becoming employed by HTAFC.

Play of game in a few hours away to Las Vegas who they have yet to beat this campaign. If Sac Rep season ends tonight it will also end a pretty shit day for the owner Kevin Nagle after watching Town dumped out of the FAC by a non league side.......Town winning the title & SR the playoffs, 100/1 double minimum surely?

So they finished 5th in a two horse race and dumped out of the playoffs at the first stage?
Didn't Nagle say that Sacramento Republic can run themselves with little input required?
Wonder what their fans think? π€

Wonder what their fans think? π€ Their roster is very small... Tin pot springs to mind. Phil Neville's son Harvey came in on loan and he looks nothing like a footballer at all .. Played a young lad at CB second half of season due to injuries. Made a name for himself tbf. Phillips was their best option up top. Managed to come 2nd in the western league scorers table Been a good move for him.. Just a shame they couldn't of won the play offs. Nagle must not have a clue though because that Sacramento team are miles behind the likes of Louisville this season. Ross, Gurr, Vitiello, Phillips, and roro Lopez. If none of those played this season then no doubt the team would be bottom of the table.

Looks decent if you care about Sacramento. I'd not even heard of them before Nagle came so I aren't about to start giving a shit now.

They got the approval from city council to start the building of the new Railyards stadium on Tuesday, lets see how quick it gets done now?.....Also, the team who knocked Sac out of the play offs (Las Vegas) are in the Western final away at Colorado Switchbacks this weekend.

Wow - there's a reason Man City don't sell co-branded Melbourne/New York etc stuff...this is totally out of touch with what supporting a football club means.
Utter garbage, sits below half and half scarves.

πππ What the fuck is that shit? God awful. I cannot believe during a period of time where we should be celebrating 100 years since we won the top Division three times in a row, the Football Club is throwing out this sort of cringe fest limp wristed garbage in the club shop. A quick search of βthriceβ on the shop site has produced ONE item, a wooden plaque celebrating our history. So glad we are festering in league one with a cool range that reminds us we are part of a family. Mouse matsβ¦.

Combined stuff not for me really, might get a Sac shirt on its own, but I don't like the blended stuff.
Some will though and fair play to the club for thinking "outside the box" and trying something new.
Just because us old duffers don't like it doesn't mean the new-style younger generational football fan won't.
