How unlucky was Ross in that game - hitting the woodwork 3 times! Playing well is Ross.. With a few key players out Ross and Kierans stepped up lately. The Open Cup really ruined their momentum and it seems to have come back recently looking at highlights and watching a few games. I like the young CB they've got. Shame he won't get be able to get a work permit.

Phillips with another goal and a couple of lay ups for people .. If we don't sign anyone I wouldn't mind him off bench as an option Most important thing is that so far he has stayed injury free - I think. That in itself will be great mentally for the lad. I think the Shrewsbury loan did him no good. Manager said Town told him he could only play so many minutes as he comes back from a bad injury. What did they do try play him twice a week. So got injured again. Wasn't a good loan move that but think he wanted a loan because Warnock was wasn't going to pick him. He seems fit now didn't look tired when they took him off at 70th min. Seen his Instagram he's 10 goals in 12 starts . 10 in 17 games in total. Not a bad return to say he's playing 60/70mins when he starts or 20mins off bench

He'll be back in January unless they decide to 'buy' him.

When did he last have a decent break? He went at the back end of last season, and been there ever since. Might need a rest, but, could be motivated by being so successful. Happy to wait and see, but would expect that he will need a rest before becoming involved over here.

Transfer window shuts end of Jan so move abroad was only option. America play different times to UK Season ends October/November

Could get more than that playing National League

So doubt he would move.. Unless MLS come knocking but don't think that would happen.

Sørensen doesn't count as he was already nationalised in England when the rules changed.

Doesn't he qualify by being at Brighton youth team?

Town owner KN will be even happier that both his teams managed to achieve 1-0 home victories in the past 24 hours, Sac had to wait for a hand ball penalty decision in the 87th minute to secure the points.....Kieran Phillips started against San Antonio FC & was subbed after 66 minutes.

A 2-1 defeat in Charleston leaves Sac ten points adrift in 2nd place, they play leaders New Mexico twice in the coming weeks but 3 defeats last five games leaves little hope of overtaking them......Phillips was subbed again on 69 minutes when the score was 1-1.

Kieran Phillips left the bench on the hour mark to secure the points scoring seconds after coming on, a 2-0 victory coupled with a surprise defeat for leaders New Mexico sets things up nicely with the two meeting twice in ten days.....A trip down New Mexico way (Albuquerque) on Wednesday, flying down Kev?

Well done Kieran An assist last game and a goal this game. Thought you may have been recalled but now we have Ladapo I don't see a place for the guy unfortunately. Think maybe a loan/perm move in January
Unless we somehow find a team to take Ward

Is that a Town flag behind the goal in the Sacramento end?

Is that a Town flag behind the goal in the Sacramento end? Two town fans were at the game yesterday so more than likely.

It's hard to tell how good the standard is over there from those highlights. I'd probably be guessing top end of league two.

They really need a stadium upgrade and better pitch. Shows you how detrimental the closed door league structure is to those outside the MLS.

Looks more like national league to me, horrific standard and don’t even get me started on the ground I watched a couple of games back in March and then another over summer and I'd generally concur. It's a mostly garbage standard, with occasional nice patterns of play that if highlighted wouldn't look out of place in a League 1 / Championship game...a bit like I imagine what would happen if you removed the best three teams out of the Scottish Premier League, added another 6 or 7 from Scots League 1 and then waited 5 years for the standard to settle with no promotion or relegation.

Going by 'Transfermarkt' valuation Sac have £5M (6th highest in UCL, Crawley same) squad which compared to other league two teams would put them in the top six......Above Doncaster & Bradders.

I like USL but it is not comparable to any division of the EFL. I'd have it at or right below national league standard. I also found the link on average USL wages to be off. When we had a USL team in Cincinnati, we had the highest wage bill in the league and all but 2 or 3 players worked part time jobs in the offseason to make ends meet.

Lost 3-1 at New Mexico this morning, 0-0 at half time then after an hour they conceded 3 goals in 12 minutes......Phillips came on after 71 minutes & helped set up the consolation goal at the end.

Only time he has been started as a sub was when he 1st went over and then when they was saving him to play Mls teams in the cup and last week because theyre playing 3 games in just over a week
