It’s the lack of respect for a club legend. How about, ‘he needs this move to get some game time and I wish him all the best’. How about people can just say what they want without having their support of the club questioned? Then again, you were the only person on the board vehemently backing Mark Fotheringham at the end, so I shouldn't be surprised. Here we go……..

Did you start watching Town in 2017?. Explain how he is a loss? You can't go back to Rhodes 1st spell because that has been and gone. His 2nd spell has been nothing but average. For his wage, it has been disappointing. A loss would be someone who is playing week in, week out and contributing either defensively, or chipping in with assists and goals. I wish JR all the best, can't fault his effort. But I think a lot of people are overrating his 2nd spell. They can't explain why he is a loss, they just want to have a pop at me as usual 😂 Call me a WUM, accuse me of not being a Town fan, or jumping on the 2017 bandwagon, but they can never back up their arguments.

Back up your arguments then... Read my response to Rockwall. Show some respect for a club legend was my point. That’s all. Make it about whatever you want, there’s nothing to see here.

A great lad and servant to the club Rhodes and Stewart are my 2 favourite strikers post 2000...hard to separate them Pre 2000 that would be steve kindon and Ian Robins...I'd love to have a time machine and go back to that 79/80 season..pure magic Stewey was only here for about 6 weeks post 2000

No need to show him any respect. Been useless since coming back ( not his fault but earning a small fortune ) after forcing his way out ( don’t particularly blame him with the money on offer ) but we don’t have any obligation to show him respect Absolutely awesome first time around

A bit disrespectful not to show him some respect.

He has scored some great goals for the club on the pitch and earned us a lot of money off it, millions (millions). Has he been played right by any Manager since his return?, debatable. Has he shown a shocking attitude?, not that I am aware of. It hasn’t worked out for whatever reason this time. That though does not in any, way, shape or form make it okay to not show Jordan Rhodes some respect and wish him well.

Bet you'd have done the same.

Bet you'd have done the same. They were rubbish and finished level on points with us that season. He left for a club that's no bigger than us and didn't further his career. I wouldn't have threatened to go on strike and force a move from the club that gave me a career, no.

One of the club's best ever goalscorers and a thoroughly nice chap. Brought back for free at the tail end his career and past his best. Always tried hard and scored a few crucial goals for us in his second spell. Absolutely no complaints from me. Best of luck to him at Blackpool, he'll get a few this season at a lower level and in a different playing system.

He's not a town fan, a club just relegated out of the Premier league offered to quadruple his wages to play in the same division. If you were in his shoes you wouldn't have taken the deal? Bollocks! Also, he played 90 minutes and scored 5 days before he signed for Blackburn, so your theory that he refused to play is just made up nonsense.

You implied he was threatening to go on strike. Prove it! He earned the club over £8m and allowed us to stay in the Championship. We would have been back in league 1 without that money. Comes back 10 years later on a free and gets a better than 1 in 3 scoring record, including the crucial goal that took us to Wembley. Give the lad the respect he deserves!

As long as the fans want me here then I will continue to do things in the best interests of this club."

It's well known what was going on with Rhodes, and in particular his Dad at that time. But you believe what you want. I for one couldn't care less that he's leaving, as I said previously, he's no loss whatsoever.

Like I said, 100% profit on a player that got us into the championship that allowed us to stay there, without that sale do you seriously think we'd have stayed there? Give over! Hoyle knows the sale of JR was the reason we could stay there. He was our TOP scorer last season. Far better striker than Ward, proved in half the amount of minutes. Give him the respect he deserves!
