There’s also something which them three players have in common which I think impacts opinion. Always someone who claims racism If that's what he/she/they meant then I wholeheartedly apologise. I'm just sick of race-baiters "finding" racism where there isn't any; they do more harm than good in the fight against racism IMO

"Showtime Brother" according to Kasumu A shame it wasn't showtime last season. Perhaps it's my age but what does that actually mean? I just presumed he meant “Go and show them what you can do”.

I'm just sick of race-baiters "finding" racism where there isn't any; they do more harm than good in the fight against racism IMO I’m not accusing anyone but I think it’s clear that certain players get given a lot more leeway by fans. That’s just the way I see it. That's always been the way though, fan favourites (usually homegrown) get loads of leeway to cock up, while those that appear to "not try" get slagged after one bad performance. It's just that you seemed to imply that it was because of their colour that the other 3 WEREN'T getting that leeway and I just don't agree with that sentiment if that was what was intended, even if it wasn't aimed at anyone specific.

Alan Nixon says it is SIX million paid and with extras could be up to TEN million If true, got to give kudos to Cartwright on that don’t have any inside knowledge in regards to how good or bad Cartwright is but if we get May in in the next few days you have to give him credit for this summer so far. Moved quickly on Duff, and then two potentially excellent signings from the team of the season from last year and got a great fee for rudoni so early in the window.

Interesting that Rudoni has been active on social media since the move was announced but no mention of Town (not even the usual trite "thanks for everything"). I try not to read into stuff like that but it seems to tally with what's being said about his attitude.

I agree that the fan favourite thing does play a huge part in it. It’s just an observation that since we were relegated the majority of the blame (in terms of players) has gone towards Burgzorg and Sorba. Think it’s a very derogatory throw away comment to even suggest it’s about race if that’s what you were applying and if this is what you’re suggesting admin should be having a word with you . Seems to me you’re throwing the biggest insult at datm posters because folk aren’t backing your thought process. Bang out of order and completely unnecessary. Oh and just for your information this thread is about JR .

After the disrespect shown to our club in his performance at Ipswich, glad he’s gone. Bye.

Maybe things that have been leaked about them? Do you have the same opinion when Wiles and Jackson get collective abuse?

I’m still annoyed though with his 20 odd minutes at Ipswich, I’d rather he’d just rung in sick than fanny about like he did, not wanting to take a tackle or be in the slightest interested. I know some players can’t be arsed sometimes but that was as bad as I’ve seen for attitude.

Yeah I pretty much agree with everything you’ve said, I was at Ipswich and that day he proper pissed me off, the only thing I would say is it’s a BIG could go on and have a great career, because his output is a long way off, but agree potential is there.

I’ll give you Ollie Turton for the first six months of his town career , Scott High , Ben Hamer , Danny Ward, Ryan Schofield and Ben Jackson out to even your lazy stereotyping out . Not denying some fans have racial prejudices but I’d like to think the vast majority don’t .

Been thinking about this Rudoni transfer since it was made and in all honestly I’m not at all bothered about it.
I think he has a lot of potential but he pretty much failed to deliver, and it’s not like he had a small opportunity with us.
He was played continuously and he just didn’t do it. Not just scoring but very little in the way of assists. I feel like I’ve had to defend his contribution to other fans ever since his arrival which speaks volumes.
We’ve had way more effective (in terms of end product which have gone for less) Norwood, Clayton, Butterfield). Good luck Jack maybe we weren’t the right club.
Edit: 15 goal contributions in his entire time with us (81 games)…

Always flattered to deceive. I'm firmly in the not that bothered he's gone camp. I can feel a poll coming on ! Are you bothered that Jack Rudoni left a. Yes - Another talented lad we let go ? - his silky skill would only have improved under a good coach b. No - Money will come in handy to get replacements - he was a "meh" kind of player c. Don't really give a shiney shite - No loyalty in football any more and he was bang average on the best of days

I think he absolutely could have been a player to take us up the leagues but it feels like he was a bad fit for our club, timing or otherwise.
Anyone disspointed needs to accept the fact that not all good players fit at all clubs.
It looks like we’ve taken excellent money for him and it should allow us to try and find someone similar who is a good fit.

I just loved the way that Rudoni used to ghost out of defence, beat a couple of players, pass outside, receive the return pass... and in a superb position, shoot as though he'd hit a bucket of soil.

I thought we had Coventry's pants down for £6m but if it could go up to 10, which still must be remembered that it came from Nixon's mouth and it could be just trying to not look stupid after what he said earlier about the £10m valuation, then we would have their pants down and circumcised them at that point.

Crikey. Rudoni attitude. It’s Been superb on every game bar the last. The sensible guys on here never doubted for one minute he was a class act. One injury in two years, played out of position. a string of crap managers- Warnock excepted - and still head and shoulders our best player. Good luck to him.

Agreed, he's been getting a raw deal on here, wrongly in my opinion. I never questioned if was trying once, he always put effort in, just his end product in front of goal that was the issue.

But we only saw him in the match. Sounds like he contributed to the complete lack of professionalism off the pitch, and that helped to relegate us.
Yes he tried, but remember also the complete lack of fight, resilience and number of times we fell apart and had lads rowing on the pitch. Sounds like he contributed to creating that atmosphere in the squad.
Also let’s not forget he missed some absolute gubbers, and that’s what we bought him for.

What do you mean - sounds like- We as mere fans can only judge on the pitch. His actual stats from Wimbledon to us in terms of games played and contributions are outstanding. Lack of professionalism off the pitch - what the hell does that smear mean. Are you saying he ran a gang of tossing it off players….- He spoke at the White Rose after match three times and was superb straight after the match. So he scuffed a few shots….. Do you work down there ar Canalside? Who is your mole

It seems that the only thing AB noticed while he was with us was bad eggs. He needed something to put the complete failure of his time here down to something and then he ran to the hills. DM never mentioned them, but although we did not perform well under his management he did not feel that he had to look for an easy way out. AB's results stank the place out but for some he is forgiven after he made is excuse, it's not me its the players .
