Relatively happy with the signing but I’m a little cringed out by the fact that the club are going big guns to say that it’s a ‘significant’ fee; between 1-2 million seems to be what he’d cost and the fact that we are hyping that up as ‘significant’ concerns me. If that’s significant then I dread to think what our version of average is!

Impressive compilation vid. Pace and goals from midfield is something we haven't had for a while...

Fairly sure Wells, Schindler and Marcus Stewart are the only 3 players we've signed outside the prem for £1-2 million. So I'd argue that it is significant (if it is £1-2 million anyway)

The midfield suddenly has a bit more to it. Good business. We get a youngish player at a reasonable fee to deal with our immediate need. Rotherham get a fee for a player who would leave on a free in 12 months. We get the extra option in midfield. The added bonus is that we weaken a divisional rival with less than a week of the window to go.
Pleased with that.

Less than half a page and we’re right back to the money discussions again…
Honestly, give the club a fucking chance will you…
No doubt opinions will again focus on money as soon as we see how he performs. There will be no middle ground as usual, it’ll be:
“He’s shit, we were robbed, I bet we only paid £200k, not £2m”
or…
“What a steal, worth every penny of the £m’s he cost us”

Considering the summer we have had, 2 bob and a conker is significant. Fair play to Nagle here, he did say that if the right transfer is there he will do his best to make it happen.

Rotherham fans:
His head dropped when Burnley approached him, maybe his time to move on and prove himself to be better but it is sad to see him go tbh Good luck lad but DO NOT SCORE AGAINST US
....
Trust us to sell to one of our potential relegation rivals ,we still have nothing come in and we sell one of our best players leaving us even more short of quality , unless we get maybe 4 or 5 quality players in at least (Not injury prone old men or one's not even capable at this level ) then we are going down, not just down but bottom , can someone explain to me how Luton managed this league with a smaller stadium and surely no better budget !
....
We have lost one of the most talented players at the club, he could play in multiple positions and with both feet it is a very sad day. I wish the lad all the best, it is such a shame that he has gone to a relgation rival but warnock is no fool and I bet they have a bargain. A lot on here will be happy but will then moan that we are short of players etc, some will say that at least we got a fee, I suspect the fact it is undisclosed (so many of our deals are, I wonder why?) the fee won't be anything like what we should have got and yet again our amazing asset management skills will have not been in our favour. I hope we have at least got a good sell clause. We can't come to a deal with him yet we are reported as paying peltier £10000 A WEEK unbelievable. very disappointed in the way we are running the club in terms of playing staff at the moment.

Thought he Interviewed well, clearly a big step for him to leave Rotherham.
Looks quite powerful physically, which is something we could do with.
Good luck Ben and well done to the club on getting him in.

This lad is a good signing and it is not all about how much we spend, it's betting the right player at the right price.

But, yeah, anything north of £1m is a significant investment IMO as it would be for most clubs in this division. Ive seen him play but cant remember him. Dont know why.. maybe its how he talked about being box to box and covering every blade of grass...maybe its just his build and looks,, but wouldn't surprise me if we've just signed Hoggy's long term replacement.

Nice bit of business, hopefully we'll get a striker as Ward looks knackered at the mo and Rhodes is rumoured to be out the door.

Looks like this guy will be able to take over from Hogg but give us more going forward, judging purely from that highlights reel.
Seems like a canny move, MUCH better to invest in someone with potential to make us good money than loaning some young lad from the PL that will be gone by May.

It's the club's wage of pointing out that a fair bit of money has been spent here, appreciate it.

Really happy with this signing 🙌
A midfielder that can pass, drive forward with the ball, tackle, assist and score goals. Great business imo 👌
Welcome, Ben 👍

Looking good on the compilation. First thing I noticed is the lad's actually got two feet, and scores with either. Unusual these days especially at Town. So many miss chances trying to get onto their best foot, Koroma being a prime example. Good player but one footed.

Seen as he played a full 90 minute against Blackburn and play against Stoke at the start of the season , maybe on the bench tomorrow or is he injured?
