The midfield had got a bit pedestrian so another option of bringing the ball forward is always welcome. Now we could do with a really savvy striker to get into good positions to put them away. Rhodes coming off the books should hopefully free up a space. Ward can drop to the bench if we get someone in that can naturally finish. Maybe give Harrat a few starts in the meantime? I know the gap between The Championship and The SPL is huge and I’m not sure of Neil’s budget (everything is so undisclosed and secrevite at Town) but Lawerence Shankland of Hearts scores for fun wherever he had played in Scotland, but he also scores in Europe as well, so maybe a worthwhile look at Shankland as well as Martin Boyle of Hibernian across the other side of Edinburgh as well as he also knows how to find the net and possibly has more pace than Shankland who is more renowned for his poaching prowess and expertise in that particular sphere... I know The SPFL Premier League seems laughable but something is better than absolutely nothing in my humble opinion ! Shankland didn't score many in Belgium though 😉 |

Bit of a passive aggressive comment from Warnock in his post match interview when asked about Wiles' registration. Why is it that we can't get him registered yet Blackpool had Rhodes in their squad today? He stated the registration went through at 12:01, so presume it had to be by 12:00 for him to be eligible for selection today. Is that 12.00 yesterday or today? Rhodes's loan was announced 2 hours after Wiles transfer so I'm just confused as to why one can get registered in time and one can't. Warnock said something along the lines of "Don't get me started on that..." which made me think it was a Town admin error. Wouldn't be the first time. |

I still can’t get over the club saying we spent a significant undisclosed fee on him. Considering what the average is the championship these days if that’s significant for us we are well and truly done.
They don’t half shoot themselves in the foot.

Considering the history of our clubs transfers it is significant though. Would you rather we said "we've spent an undisclosed amount of next to fuck all in today's market". Not the first post I've seen moaning about this but even if you don't agree does it even matter? If you still can't get over a comment like that from days ago you've no hope. |

He played, he scored the winner and we signed him permanently on the Monday. |

If your knowledge of our salary structure is accurate does this extend to our first team and are they also working to a pace? |

Very good first half. Looks fairly quick, very comfortable on the ball and gets around the pitch well.
Thought he faded badly second half but that's to be expected when he's hardly played.

very, very poor again today.
Looked knackered again today.
I was hopeful after his first showing but he doesn't seem to be getting into any positions where he might be the answer to our gaping hole in midfield since giving O Brien away.

Worrying times he looked decent in fits and starts in his first game, but not very match fit. Since then he appears to have got even less match fit, and shorter spells of influence in the game. |

Exactly how I see it, very odd. Plays like he’s late thirties, looks to be a player in there but can’t get about the pitch and isn’t quick or strong enough. |
