Manager loses games: Boo! Manager wins games: Boo! Manager doesn't acknowledge the crowd: Boo! Manager does acknowledge the crowd: Boo! Manager chooses to keep private life private: Boo! Manager introduces his family to the crowd: Boo! That's been the summary of the last page on here. Who the fuck would be a manager, eh? Oi! Some of us are trying to lead the conversation away from the vitriolic subject of CC to the less controversial subject of best ever centre backs!

I don’t think I’ve seen any player make as many last man clean tackles as Schindler. His covering was first class. He was brilliant but I'd still put Paul Jones, Lucketti (mk1) and Monkou above him, in my time watching. Speaking of the big Dutchman... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-66731674

In terms of Monkou, had a train journey to London next to him a few years back and he offered the real reason he was bombed out by Bruce. If you recall at the time, Monkou was positioned as being the problem.

I was gonna suggest Morrison, but I didn't know how to explain "if it wasn't for injuries and off-field shit he'd not have been at Town" without sounding like I was dissing him, or playing Town down. Edit: What was the real (alleged) reason? If you feel you can share without consequences?

Best thing I remember Morrison doing was when he took off with an attempted 2 footed tackle, from about 15 yards away, on Van Hooijdonk when we played Forest on a Friday night. He missed by a mile and the ref booked him but Van Hooijdonk spent the rest of the game on the wing and only ever taking one touch.

Did that happen?

I've been tempted a few times this week.

I'm sure it was reported as a racist incident, I presume he called him something or other. Google doesn't seen to show it though.

I've been tempted a few times this week. I think I've heard it mentioned before, to be honest. Think there was also a spat with Wayne Allison. When we bumped into him, my Dad asked him what happened when he left and he just said "Jacko had fucking lost it. It was all about him and his ego and the lads couldn't fucking stand him" though he did say he loved it at Town and didn't want to leave. Think he has a lot more time for Horton as he has a little passage in Horton's book.

Well, blow me down with a feather 🤣🤣🤣 I said to him that the same thing happened in his second spell. At first he was fine, but as time went on it became all about him and around the time of the Chelsea game it went into overdrive. Don't think Jacko ever recovered from the period where we draw Chelsea in the cup. It was all about him and Jose, and what suit he was going to wear and being the best looking manager etc. We were top of the table the game before we drew Chelsea and then afterwards we had a really bad run. Yeah, we got to the play-offs but lost and then the following season we were poor and he was rightly sacked. Saying that though, I love Peter Jackson. Never gets the credit he deserves for bringing some self-respect back to Huddersfield Town.

I know it was his idea, so what? It's not like he was a genius inventor who pioneered the concept of a club shop. Loads of people have had bright ideas that have made money for others. Warnock put money first and let his relationship with the club break down over something ultimately really petty. Corberan left for footballing reasons, following the sale of key players and the lack of replacements. The way he conducted himself in doing so was piss poor. But swap their reasons for leaving around and Corberan would be the most unpopular man in Huddersfield He'd been making plans to leave for ages , even at a time when we could still have gone up. he wanted a 'better' club whilst his stock was high..that was his motivation. I have no idea about his plans etc. I would say that anyone other than a Town supporter would have wanted out, we were obviously going in one direction and after he left we appeared to press the self destruction button, but managed to get Warnock in before the timer went off.

Everything you want in a Town player, yet the only memory of him I have is the one from the Forest game, I mentioned earlier 🤷

If we're talking the best CB's to play for Town then both Colwill and Zanka are worthy of a mention.
