I did notice also v Rotherham he spent close on 10mins trying to get some instruction/direction from the technical area and visibly showing his frustration. Ideally whatever changes are being made will benefit him. Super keeper, won us a point the other night, and arguably gained us two v Rotherham. If we had a striker as comparatively good, we'd be in the top six! I didn't see much evidence of him and Ian Bennett being a good pair, his performance dropped and things like you've mentioned didn't bode well. Hopefully he'll hit it off with Basso straight away and he can reach new heights Performance dropped last season too, was that because of "Clem"?

No, that was because of Mbete, REG and Kesler-Haiden and whatever other random set of defenders we threw in front of him... We played Turton (on left), Hogg in middle and Lees as a 3 in one game!

And yet this season his mistakes are all down to Ian Bennett? not like you to read other people's opinions in bad faith! As usual, nobody's saying what you're claiming, we're pointing out a few facts about Nicholls since Bennett has come in, and noting how he had a particularly close relationship with Clements (I think partly due to them both having close relatives with autism and further care needs). And wondering, not claiming, that his performances have been affected by the above. But feel free go ahead with the 'some fans think Corberan, Pelach, and Clements are walking deities when they achieved nothing' schtick that you're itching to do again, I think it would be valuable to hear for the thousandth time.

Seems to me like you're implying his dip in form is down to his relationship with Ian Bennett. I never mentioned Corberan or Pelach, they're completely irrelevant to the conversation and you're the only one that's brought them up. In fact, you bring them up a lot to try and goad me into saying something about them, despite you already knowing my opinions on those people. Perhaps you can answer my question. Are you implying that Nicholls' dip in form is down to his relationship with Ian Bennett?

No, but I was bringing up the possibility that it might have unsettled him and contributed to his poor performances, in addition to whatever else has caused it that we'll probably never get to the bottom of. And we all are very well aware your opinions, that was the joke. It was not intended particularly seriously, and I shall stop winding you up if it's annoying you

He’s a goalkeeper who has made a number of howlers. Stood in the sea at Plymouth, through legs v Leicester and slow / kick v Norwich
Had that been Schofield he’d have been labelled a clown etc!
He’s also had some excellent games this season. He’s lost us points and won us points / games no doubt - as he has done number of times before
I get losing gk coach can impact, but he’s a senior pro has to show van adapt and now get relationship with new coach like any other player
He’ll win us more than he loses - but must be better than he was first half of last season pre injury and again so far (overall) this season

Go on then tell me different, why wouldn't he leave us for Norwich. You can't come up with anything apart from absolute Bollocks? Warnock wanted his own men. This was stated when he signed his 12 month/temp/flexi hour/rolling/who the fuck knows contract. Well there all having a fishing match in Cornwall tomorrow. Clem got the better deal hands down!

Again this man earns us a point. Unreal save from Simms which unluckily led to the goal, and then a top class save on 88 minutes to keep us in it.
Fair play Lee, I take back all the nasty words I shouted at you through my TV on 92 minutes when you didn't come for the ball and then kicked it straight out x

Schofield used to make 2 howlers a game and was one of the worse keepers I’ve ever seen in a town shirt.

Back to his best almost; had a huge role in winning us points yet again.
Best keeper I've seen in 30 years at town, so glad we didn't cash in for once

Best keeper we have had since Jonas Lossl. Loved his reaction to the equaliser.
Proper player.

Probably Terry Pool is as far back as I can recall , and Nicholls is definitely up there with the best . Would make an excellent captain of the team also..

Best keeper we've had in a long time, confident shot stopper, loud and territorial with a good amount of shithousery thrown in.
Definitely a late bloomer with him being 31 next week. I wonder if this Summer is going to be his final chance at a big shot, but I'd love to see him here for a few more years.

Funny how you think of stuff but never post it, was thinking today, definitely the best goalkeeper we have had, his reaction to Heliks goal was a picture, he knew the save he did got us a point. Would make an excellent captain.
