A lot of that vocal minority were calling him a paedophile - I can totally understand him not being happy with the fans Same yesterday in the Riverside, booed again and shouts of "Paedo" when his name was announced when he scored. That fucking cowshed loyal lot again, wankers.

A bit creepy maybe, but entirely legal as long as he didn't give her a ciggy afterwards.

That actually happened some years ago in Portsmouth didn't it? Some thicko yobs physically attacked a children's doctor, mistaking him for a kiddy fiddler? Or maybe it was just myth...

Its slightly concerning he doesn't seem to be able to get his head round the fact its a tiny minority but it cant be easy getting sh1t from any section of your fan base. I do remember him getting some before that too because he was apparently getting too big for his boots after his Wales call up! Even if he is a bit of a knob at times, he's our knob and we should get behind him!

I had Portsmouth in my head as well, but the only example I can find is in Newport, South Wales. www.theguardian.com/uk/2000/aug/30/childprotection.society

I've seen the "evidence" of him being a nonce.
To say it's flimsy would be to give it too much credit.
* There is no evidence whatsoever of what her age was. * No evidence that he knew her age even if she was young. * No evidence that anything untoward went on.
* There is evidence that he has a conversation with someone over some kind of electronic device. * There is evidence that Sorba suggests that someone gets an Uber.
That's literally it.
I mean, I suppose there's a chance that something might have happened. But if that's all the evidence they have then as far as I can see it doesn't even meet the "balance of probability" test, let alone the convincing case I'd want to see before giving someone one of the most egregious labels possible.

where does the paedo thing come from? What have I missed? Texting a 16-17 year old girl. Which at his age isn't ENTIRELY unusual. And also, erm, over 16 means he literally ISN'T a paedo. Didn't stop the pond-life on Twatter though. Didn't hear it yesterday but he's had it chanted at games too. By a small (brained) minority but it would certainly piss me off. Edit: turbo2 beat me to it.

Edit: turbo2 beat me to it. As abuse and chants go that's pretty offensive and should surely result in them being ejected and banned or warned if caught? I don't agree with the game being totally sanitised but accusations of someone being a paedo are massively offensive on a few different levels to the player and anyone in earshot including kids.

Fwiw I've never heard anything in the Kilner and he seemed to get a big ovation from everywhere Saturday.

Massive positive of yesterday - stepped up on the pitch and also did a decent post match interview. Good to be getting the best from him again……

He's been putting in good shifts recently.. fair play to him. Just needs to get his end product back now, which will come with continued effort.

He even seemed to be doing his best to encourage Hudlin when the frustration of not getting the decisions seemed to get to him. Good to see a more mature attitude from him, as he's got all the ingredients to have a very good career- just needs to stop being his own worst enemy.

I mean as in not the case that we look to sell him. Our squad is depleted enough and without a Man City style transfer window next summer (if we stay up) I believe keeping hold of our better players is the bare minimum we should be doing

Needs to stop the diving when someone comes up behind him. I'm shocked how often referees fall for it but yesterday's didn't. Lucky he hasn't been booked for it yet
The only player we have at the moment who actually looks to get us somewhere near the oppositions goal. Must be very frustrating having to play in a side with 7 defensive players

Burgzorg on the other hand is much worse

Does my head in the amount of shoving, shirt holding, just generally harassing a player by niggling at their ankles while running, all seems to be accepted nowadays.

Superb again today.
Gives his all, chases everything and continues to put quality balls into the box.
If we had a proper Striker that was on the end of Sorba's deliveries he'd be appreciated because he have more in the assists column.
I do think he could do with adding more goals to his arsenal but still, along with Helik I think has been our best performer this season.

Here's a funny one. I think Fotheringham may have been onto something when he mentioned Sorba as having leadership qualities and potential to be one of the leaders in the dressing room. Obviously it went pear shaped for both of them under Fotheringham's management, so I don't think he deserves any credit. But today Sorba, as well as having a good game, led by example, got stuck in, was dishing out instructions to younger players, and showed none of that overemotional petulance that creeps into his game at times.
