Don't understand the fuss. Folk must have read enough player autobiographies to know that a team is made up of disparate characters, but, come game day, they all pulled together. Folk can point to certain games where they perceive that ST was poor, but every single player had at least one poor game last season. No mention of bad attitudes about anyone else though.
I can guarantee that whoever the leading scorer is this season, whatever their attitude in the dressing room, the fans will be behind them.
Nobody knew what Frank or any players of that or prior eras were, because there was no social media, and fans weren't as needy to know all about everything.
Sometimes less is more, and I firmly believe that applies to knowledge by fans about current players.

He literally hid when he came on against Birmingham last season. Had no interest whatsoever. I do wonder if people actually watch the games sometimes. Totally agree on that one instance - but it was isolated. For the most part his application was decent imho. No excuses now some would argue - sorba and rudoni out of the building = huge attitude issue disappeared.

I still find it amazing that fans are happy to see the back of our best player from last year. It's even more incredible that we've let him go on loan with an option to buy, not an obligation. We are the only club who manages to consistently undervalue our players. Good luck Sorba, I personally hope he smashes it in the step up he's now made. Do you think we undervalued Rudoni? Quite possibly, when you look at the rest of the market. Though my comment was more aimed at, in recent times, LOB, Toffolo, Mooy, Smith, Schindler. Even Kongolo and Pipa. Other clubs get far more money for similar calibre of players. I still stand by my thought that letting Mooy leave on loan and eventually for fuck all is the 2nd worst piece of business our club has ever done, after selling Stewart back in 2000. Anyone else would have got 10m+ easily for him immediately, and likely more.

Poorly treated by Town fans most of who have no idea what they’re talking about re. Sorba. Good player for the club. Signed from non league and now worth over £1M. A lot of players have done less and been remembered more fondly but it is what it is following town in 2020’s.

Doesn’t fit in with the system we want to play and Sørensen looks a far better player.
Hopefully Koroma can be moved on as well.

Inconsistent but surely that’s the management teams job to sort out. We don’t wanna be selling any other first teamers imo.

I was hoping we’d bring in a proper midfield and some proper strikers and with his set piece we’d have gotten out of league one at the first time of asking. I do get the comments about systems and how Sorba potentially didn’t fit into a 353.. but I think his move was a financial one for the club in order to secure/maintain his value which wouldn’t have increased in league one. If he does well in Ligue un then he’ll either get a permanent deal for a good fee or be signed by someone else for £1M +. FWIW I hope he does.

Despite the negatively towards him, I never thought he had thrown the towel in on the pitch. Off the pitch things probably weren't right. He obviously wanted to move on. AB blamed everyone but himself. You weren't at the Birmingham game then? Yes I was. You could question the attitude of a few players last season. Thomas was the scapegoat

We'll be a better team without Thomas this season, I don't have any animosity towards him I just believe he's a bit of a luxury player we can't afford this season.
We need a team where every player grafts and there's no rumblings on the training ground. Good win today against a team that will be up near the top at the end of the season.

Hope he does well in France so we get a better fee for him. It was time for him to go, best for him and the club.

I heard about Frank Worthington from my mum.One of the old ex-town players used to live on our street and a lot of the other players used to turn up at his house (I bet that rarely happens these days!!).My mum's opinion was that he was a bit bigheaded and when I was a pizza delivery driver 25 or so years later when he lived in Outlane,he never once gave me a tip and was usually pretty miserable when answering the door so I'm tempted to believe her!!

Piss myself reading the shit on here , massive difference between a big head who could have played for England and players who walked the walk and talked the talk than Sorba Thomas . Anyone who’s played footy at a decent level knows that you give certain allowances to the extremely talented but then you get the pricks who contribute to a negative team balance who also can’t walk the walk , that my friends is ST. I live HTFC and am delighted that lad is nowhere near our team . UTT. We will thrive this year and so glad negative influences like that are well gone. Every team needs togetherness folk who know fuck all about team sport keep spouting your shit.
