And don’t forget we had Aaron Mooy on corner taking duties. Pin point accuracy to the head of the first defender. As great as Mooy was, his set pieces were indeed dreadful.

What a corner he’s turned.
Anything good that we did today (admittedly not loads), came through Sorba. Regularly beating his man and consistently whipping quality balls into dangerous areas…
Back to his best and his best is a very dangerous player in this division

Agree. Despite our new signings, it seems evident it’s Sorba who’s likely to be the difference for us if we stay up

Moved to the left to capitalise on playing against the reserve right back who was on a booking. Smart move imo.
I join in with the admiration of his form this season and has today shown he’s also a threat with his left foot.

His left foot is a lot better now then when he played on the left under Danny Schofield but still better on the right.

Crossing with his left gives him more opportunities to cross with his right. Defenders can't just let him get onto his left if he can put a decent ball in with it.
Same with Koroma taking shots/crosses with his left.

and this is despite been played in the wrong positions. He’s not a striker, he’s certainly not a 10, he’s not suited to the left wing and he can’t tackle to play right wing back.
That’s the biggest problem with Moore, we had 2 players with an attacking threat when he came and we’ve played formations that suit neither.

Still think he is better on the right side This is so obvious it shouldn't even need saying. We bring a left winger on and he plays him on the right to keep Thomas on the left. This is what drives me insane with Moore. The one player likely to make things happen going forward and he plays him as a left wing back and thats when he hasn't got him upfront on his own. Sorba does seem much more mature this season, more like a senior pro.

Should have switched back to the right at that time. Probably the only reason not to would be Moore thinking Koroma would get more shooting opportunities on the right so he doesn't have to cut in and give the defenders time to close him down

Excellent for an hour today.
With Wharton going for 22m - how is there never talk of Sorba getting a big money move?
Must be top of the championship assist charts over the last 24 months
There must be a huge highlight reel of the balls he puts into the box from this season alone.
He has added the left foot cross and driving runs to his arsenal this season too.
Such a good player. Sorba, Koroma, Headly and The Zorg are a formidable set up if we ever get them all fit.

This is only his third season as a full-time pro (and regular starter in the Championship) and it’s clearly evident how his all round game has matured now. Sporadic cameos of undoubted quality, interspersed with large amounts of confused mediocrity, have given way to the kind of consistent, mature performances that top-end Championship players produce.

Totally agree. He’s also encouraging the younger players around him, showing great maturity this season. I hope he’s rewarded with a call up for Wales.

It's crazy how this time last year he was out on loan and people wanted him out of the club because of his attitude
Fast forward 12 months and he's our hardest working player, a role model on the pitch and the guy we look to for inspiration. Always had assists in his locker but now also chipping in with goals and beating his man.
Well done sorba Thomas 🙌

What a brilliant season he's having. Rarely drops below a 7/10, has cut out that petulant streak and is now one of the leaders, setting the standards for others, not letting his head drop and keeping working hard. Slyly starting to add goals to his game now too, still getting there but that's 4 this season, whereas he'd only scored twice for us in his previous 2 1/2 seasons.

Sorba’s fitness & workrate is phenomenal. Of course he’s frustrating at times & his final product is often lacking, but he tries to make things happen and we have to remember how far he’s come in such a short space of time
He’s the player most opposition fans rate highest after we’ve played them which says it all
After Helik he’s been our best player this season imo

If his end product was top drawer hed have been sold. Along with helik head and shoulders above the rest this season.

Expires 2026 with us having another year option on top of that, puts us in a strong position assuming we stay up and there are no clauses in it. Would not be easy replacing the amount of goals he brings to the team.
