Need to enjoy him while we can, because unless we give him a silly pay rise there's about zero chance he'll be here next season.

Sorba's on a good thing here, I don't think he's too good for us, just an excellent player and a good fit. He's a top end championship player but I think we're making the right noises in terms of matching his ambition, and with new ownership possibly giving him a more lucrative contract. Lets not forget the club gave him his initial chance, and after his failed loan to Blackburn the welcomed him back into the fold.

Quite an experienced player now, but I dont see him as a leader. Might be for some of the young lads especially those who've moved here from down south. But still get the impression hes quite a marmite character in the changing room. I dont think him and Pearson exchange Christmas cards. I'm not sure either of them could write one

Hes seen that the grass isnt necessarily greener when he went to Blackburn. When hes on form hes a top end Championship player and hopefully with Nagles backing and this manager we're going to become top end championship club.

Top player this season and now just edging the player of the season award now for me. If, if he does go it will be for a substantial amount and Inow have much more confidence in the club to reinvest that money in a suitable replacement.
Sorbs has matured and come on leaps and bounds this season he deserves to be given his head.

He may have to pull his socks up, the FA yesterday reminded players that under the laws of the game wearing of shin pads is compulsory & that the micro/mini type don't offer adequate (if any) protection, plus if not CE marked should not be worn.......Looking like George Best is cool until your skin is sliced open or your shin snapped in two & not pretty to see/hear either.

Always thought that with Claridge, how he'd piss and moan if he got a broken shin (who wouldn't obviously) but he'd have to take some of the blame. Wasn't there a Town player a few years ago who did the same, socks round the ankles and really tiny shinpads? Edit: For some reason I'm thinking Tommy Cowan?

He's really stepped up this season - gone up a couple of levels I'd say. I know some people think he's petulant but I love his work ethic, attitude and swagger. Hope we can keep hold of him at the end of the season.

Hope we can keep hold of him at the end of the season. he used to be very easy for opposition players to wind up, and when things weren't going his way he was a red card waiting to happen. That's completely gone from his game this season, but crucially without losing any of that fire inside him.

Fantastic delivery for our goal, can’t recall a player for Town with a more consistent delivery

There were shades of the old Sorba in the Hull game, was surprised he didn't walk at one point.

Thomas is consistently one of our main players
Real handful ti the opposition and a player who never backs down and never stops running
His crosses from set pieces are Premier League level and it’s no wonder when he plays and is “at it” we’re one of the most dangerous side in the division on set pieces and I fancy us to score from a set piece most games now

I'm always keen to see him on the ball, set piece or open play, as things are likely to happen but think he needs to add heading to his game to be able to challenge for a PL transfer. I do wonder if this was a factor in him drifting out of the Wales team.

I do wonder if this was a factor in him drifting out of the Wales team. Personal opinion, but heading is low on the list of attributes for a winger. Another question is why is the ball coming to him at head height, particularly if he has his back to goal, so frequently that this can be seen as an issue by someone. I personally don't think he is a good tackler, but I would rather have a fit Sorba, particularly when you see the shin pads he wears.

He’s not there to win headers. Just watched the match highlights on Sky. Commentators raving about his most important function in the team. The quality of his delivery.

The only frustration for me with ST is not his attitude, it's his inability to beat a man when running at him with the ball. He lacks a trick in one v one situations - if he had this he'd be unplayable.

He does seem to have added half a yard of pace though now so whilst he does lack a trick, he can run away from your average fullback.
